(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Did I miss something? Deborah and a job prospect? Yeap, she is riding shotgun but I have a feeling she can get into as much trouble as I can--maybe more who knows. Besides, I am going to be a good girl--no speeding, just safe normal driving.

Hey ladies those who have the lovely bonnets from Kathy's last year. Get them out--we will have a gathering all in our bonnets.

Ended up not going and packing, weather looked really bad sounded worse but alas no rain! Send it to me Tia, Tina Whatever, please!!!

OK Linda Kay what are you doing next weekend? Inquiring minds want to know--tell us!!!

Well off to the grocery store to get some last minute things for the youngest GD's birthday cake--yeap she ask Kimmie to make it for her tis year so her Mom said that is fine. I think she is getting a chocolate Ariel--atleast that is what she said she wanted. A 4yo with a mind of her own that is for certainl!!!

Love the critter and the flowers......the snake can keep his distance......the mice need to go far away outside.....the Turtle is Adorable!!!! I love little turtles!!!

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Ok If I can I will try my hardest to send you the Rain Marion. Gosh we are sooooooooooooooooooo sick of it..................we know come August we will be begging for it back.

Had to sell off all my ducks..........wanted to keep them but LIFE, couldnt afford to build a pen for them and got tired of feed the hawks and owls. Anyway these were "dump" ducks. Cant get rid of the chickens. They are doing real good on the swimming lessons tho...........they know to get to higher ground (a roost) and fly out the coop when I open the mud sunk door in the morning.

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Trisha,you crack me up.LOL!!!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Marion, it wasn't Deborah with the job thing it was Donna. If you go back to post #6554492 it where Donna wrote. LK, just got a little mixed up, lol. I'm so pooped from packing ugh!! Trisha you're right MOVE is a dirty word. And I'm not doing it ever again!!!My mom's house will be mine when it is time for the Good Lord to call her home (hopefully not for 10 years or more) I will have the pleasure (NOT) of going through her stuff and consolidating.

Hi Susan, oh I want that little turtle.

Cody you have a lot of flowers don't you? Well, that is my game plan when I get settled at my mom's is flowers, lots of flowers. Mom likes to garden too. When my Dad was alive he did the housework while mom worked out in the yard, lol.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Tia,
I can understan where you are coming from... We had a fort knoxs for our chickens and still they got taken...Broke my heart.. Can I ask what is a mud sunk? Hope you don't mind...
Hugs,
Susan

Coushatta, LA

Hi Cindy, yea we have lots of flowers. My next step of flowers is getting Amaryllias and Tulips.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Oh Cindy! Wanted to let you know the Butterfly Bush is going out of the pot and into the yard this weekend!! So excited!!!

Coushatta, LA

Trisha,is that Tulips in one of those pictures at the top?I love them flowers.I will have to get me some.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Trisha, I was wondering if yours made it. BJ's didn't. I so want to take mine but they are like 7 feet tall and starting to bloom. Tell me, what did you do with the cutting after you got them? I'm going to take lots pf cuttings from mine. Plus I promised some to LK, but the cutting I took off a couple of months ago didn't make it. Maybe I'll try the soft wood cuttings this time.

Just got word that my help won't be here for another 3 or 4 hours (should have hired movers) so I'm going to go lay down. My back is aching really bad and I just took a pain pill. Yep I over did it, :(.

TTYL }!{

This is the one a have.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I just took them and planted them in pots on may back patio... I did remember that they do have to go in the soil with the correct end up...and kept them watered.....just the one took, but it is doing very well.

Such a beautiful, beautiful day today.....walked Sage home instead of taking the car, it's only half a mile from my front door to theirs....the exercise was good for all of us, would have been better if the dog didn't have to sniff and leave a message at ever blade of grass along the way!

I have to go with mom to a Memorial Service for one of our church ladies in about an hour:( I would much rather go out in the yard, in the sunshine, and plant some flowers in her memory...which is what I hope they do for me after they donate me to the medical center or the forensic lab. Just be nice to me while I am here...then you can put the container out with the trash when I am gone.

You take care of yourself....let someone else do the heavy lifting.....

This is the half Pink, half White Dogwood and the end of Laura's Duplex....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, not going nowhere, if I don't get rid of this cold! It seems to be trying to move into my chest, so first thing Monday morning, I call the doc! I hate summer colds. Todd says I just wore myself out driving to Amarillo taking Dad to meet my Brother! So I keep taking hot steamy showers, and using vicks at night!
Susan, you can keep the mouse, and the snake. I know snakes keep nasty things out of the yard, but I have to change my pants when I see one in the yard anywhere! LOL
Cindy, you take care of that back! Sounds like a nap is on order!
Cody, beautiful flowers, your yard must be so nice with all the blooms you have?
Trisha, sorry to hear that Sage was sick last night. Did she eat something that did not agree with her?
LK

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

LK, take care of that cold and get better soon...

Sage is fine today.....probably too much popcorn or ice cream last night.....unless it was something she ate earlier in the day.....

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks Cindy, I thought it was Donna but then again I could have misread things. I do that frequently. Glad you stopped and rested your back. Not going to do you any good if you get down with back pains now is it?

Linda Kay, take care of that cold--understand how they can make you feel and certain how miserable they can be this time of year.

Cody, you are making me wish I had more sunny spots to plant in my yard instead of all the shade. Beautiful flowers.

Trisha, a pink and a white together? Very nice!

Okay, Susan, I agree snakes can be very beneficial but I just prefer they keep their distance and I will keep mine. They scare me to death!!!

Off to do some more chores.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

found this little guy on our walk also...

Jaye, thanks, I was pretty proud of it, was thinking about trying to convince her to wear it for Halloween this year, though I’ll pick up the wings if we do that.

So check this out-sorry-been busy

The one guy I am working for, I am doing facts and ?? on the Twilight series of books (which I LOVE anyway!!) and he also owns a Silica business that he might want me to write for. The business I am working for is in software dev and stuff related to books/movies. If I keep up the good work, he will have me do more and can apparently even get advanced copies of movies!! How sweet is that!!LOL Anywho, he develops apps for ebooks and stuff too:) Very nice guy, I was talking about how I was a little unsure still about the fact if my book was any good since everyone who has read it loves me and I'm not sure if their opinion is biased. He said if I sent over a couple chapters his wife would read it and let me know. I would of course send them in PDF format with copyright on the-that way he can't copy them unless he wants to sit there and retype everything....and I have been researching literary agents and stuff:)

OK-off to make dinner and watch some TV:) Nighty night all^_^

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh my and we can say "we knew her when" Keeping fingers, eyes and anything else I can crossed for you Tink.

Good luck with the book Stacey.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Glorious Sunday ladies.
Barb.. how are you this fine day today?

Errr.. whatever their purpose in this world is.... I only see their beauty when made into handbags or shoes... Yep.. snakes stay away from me. But cute baby turtle Susan. THAT I don't mind handling. In fact, we have a that comes to my garden seeking moisture...not a regular visitor though.

Yep Stacey.. we'll soon be the ones saying.. "Oh.. she's our niece ^_^ .. we know she's capable of doing anything!"

Was a 'forced to stay away from the pc' night last night. Couldn't get online till much later in the night. Dial up connections are getting worse on the weekends.
Cody.. did you put a gris gris on this pc after we looked at the daylilies? Hmmm... you just don't want me to spend money eh? Thank you!

Trisha, that's a nice tree. Wonder if two kinds were grown together.
Over here, two crepe myrtle trees, of different colors can be grown together, closely, to give that effect. Stupid me was looking all over for that one special cultivar that can produce bi-color flowers, until I found last year that IT is actually two trees.
So I'll try doing it this year.. after the trip of course.

Gonna have visitors after church. You all ladies have a beautiful day!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

I hated to come in here to give up the show I was watching, but I had to share with you!

This is a Blue Bunting that apparently thinks the pretty bunting in the picture window is looking for a mate! What a show he is putting on!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Cookie!! Thank you for doing this!! HE is amazing!

Yesterday at the lily farm, I failed to take a picture of this bird that's sitting on her eggs among the rocks.. yep.. on the ground!!!! It moved for a little upon seeing us, that's when we noticed the eggs. Perfect camouflage..

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Morning all. It looks to be a beautiful day today. Sun is shinning not a cloud in the sky. No wind.

When we built our chicken coop last year, it is down hill from the house and HAD grass all around it. Well the chickens have taken care of every single blade of grass and weeds now it is just MUD. And where the door is to the coop they have dug a hole so when it rains all the water stands there at the entrance and it buries the door in about 2 3 inches of mud. Well maybe we can have some sunshine now for a few days to dry everything up.

I am going to try and get some tomato's in the ground today. Cant do anything in the garden yet it still needs to dry out and then tilled again.
