Today I am planning to cook a lasagne....the thing I am excited about is that it's the first time that I will cook one with:

Parsley, Basil, Oregano, Green Pepper and Zucchini ALL from the back yard! :)

The onion from the store is small so I'm even considering putting some chopped chives from the garden in there...what do you think?

Mary, it takes me forever to make lasagna also. And not to mention the mess I make...its just a gift! LOL And don't even know what happens when I touch flour....its a head to toe coverage situation.

I hope it taste well also....I love it when kids eat the left overs.

Strangely enough I feel too full to eat lunch? Not sure why....all I did was 'test' the sauce and the cheese from time to time!

I make mine with the non boil noodles the night before and I love it-so it takes me like 30mins:) I am also a prego fan though!!LOL

Right now I have a giant pot of my Veggie Spaghetti on and about 14 people sitting around for a shop meeting right now......this is a really really small house..........

Me, make my own pasta....roflmbo....ummmm, no. That would require me touching flour. I don't do flour well, remember. I can make a really nice sauce, marinera or for speghetti....even using fresh tomato....but....no nooodles for me! I have a laugh now that you mention that. My Mom used to try and get me to make her homemade chicken dumplings. They were like rubber balls!

My ex was Italian...actually...he still is....but...his Mom taught me how to make sauce, and that is one treasure I still have.

Well, I have to turn in. The weekend went to fast, especially with DH on vacation. Now I need him to go to work so I can "rest" tomorrow. LOL

We are vegetarian when I can't find a really good steak!! Actually we eat vegetarian 3-5 days a week, fish and chicken often.....try to keep the beef and pork to minimum. But I almost always cook at least one vegetarian main dish when we have a shop get together.....a couple of the employees we used to have were vegetarian.....now there are a lot of new kids that I don't know so......everyone loves my spaghetti.....everyone is happy and no one feels left out. I worked for a state office for awhile.....one night we had to come in early and stay late...we had one kid who was vegetarian so what does the boss order in for dinner?? All Pepperoni and Sausage Pizzas....I felt really bad about that and have tried to not make that mistake when when we have a group over.

HI Guys, I thought I'd pop in to say hi. I think about you guys and know your gardens are coming alive, except Laura's who's is probably going to go to sleep soon.

Betty are your freezes over and things blooming all around now? Lilacs at least, I hope.

I have a lot of over time in my job now, so I don't get to post much, since my garden is expanding somewhat into the front yard now, finally and the back is doing great. My front is still not on a sprinkler timer and Greg has to put it in soon so I won't be watering all night and too late and tired to post or anything.

How are you guys? Did you get in any seed trades this year?

Im FINALLY HOME! yippee!
went in for what I thought would be a 3-5 day stay, turned into 3 weeks! ugh!

still only sleeping 3-4 hrs a night, so have follow up appt with my doc tomorrow to see what we do from here...hoping I get to stay home. If they send me back I will break down and cry!

Mothers day was absolutely horrible for me :o( didnt get to see any of my kids because of various reasons. but they will all come next sunday for a 'pretend' mothers day! lolol!

my son is doing great! he is out of the hospital and in 'transitional housing' which we decided would be better for him than living under moms rules at home. he will eventually get his own apartment. they did approve his SSI retroactive for 18 months, so he'll be getting a lump sum check that will be a nice help for him to start life on his own :o)

looking forward to seeing my kids again! youngest son gets braces put on tomorrow am...glad I get to be a part of that experience! DD has finals this week, so wont get to see her or DGS until thurs! :o(

I remember Betty had family plans today, it is their Memorial Day in Canada. So lets pray that is all holding her back from posting. I know she was talking of some projects for her and the family to do.

I have been taking care of a few projects here and not quite feeling 100%. Hopefully tomorrow will be back together. I think the transition from DH going back to work, the kids running like crazy and things really needing to get done, while my "giant shih-tzu" needed some lap time....and I wonder why I have poor leg circulation. LOL

Anjl, so glad you are safely back home. Now to get you 100% healed and on your feet. That is good news about your son, I hope he continues on the road to healing also.

Mary, I was laughing fixing dinner tonight. I had a noodle image in my mind. I finally made baked barbecued chicken, some rice and a side salad. This diet business stinks! I miss my soda, and my salt, and I think I am allergic to anything green! LOL

We had the HIgh School Graduation tonight.... 1/2 days of school for the teens the rest of the week.

Wow a whole new group here, I see. I am one of the originals here, but I have been off working again, so I have not been able to post much, and you guys go at record pace here, so if I lose a day or two, I never catch up and I feel like I am leaving everyone out or picking only certain people to comment on, so I kind of gave up.

mary, lol yep had lots of drama last august let the whole yard shrivel and die off but im slowly getting things back in perspective! maby by summer i can let the gardners maintain the back, so i can replant...
oh the cannas lol my mil pawned thease plants off on me and she can be quite persuasive! their a yellowish orange color when they bloom, but they were taking over, i hated to throw them in the green bin so dawn (hellnzn11) took them off my hands lol
but a few came back, so i said throw them in a pot in the fishpond and see what happens well they survived they dont get to big but they still bloom, i see there sprouting leaves again.

Oh/Oh sorry guys, someone had an accident up the street and I've had no phone or computer services all weekend..yuk..

Did not read the posts, will do so, with long weekend behind us just getting caught up on work calls then will be back..

Lonely at home with none of the conveniences, although I've had family with me pretty well all weekend, think they were concerned that I was alone, a few 'who is the mother here' discussions went on..

Vision is back, still a bit of the heachache and little numbness in my fingers..Dr.'s office doesn't open until 1:00 and I'll call and make appt...

Called the Dr.'s office just to check in for appt. she told me I'd best get in there at 3:10 when??? omg this afternoon..you have to wait forever for appts...

Think what is worrying me is that after Mom had her stroke she can't go south of the border re insurance for almost 1 year...hey guys, I want to travel...but dead is no good either is is..so will go in and see what he says...
