I need to get busy too... SYL

Don't know about the bleeding heart BJ. Jaye, why type conditions do the lilies take. I do have a limited space that would have about 6 hours of morning sun --maybe a little more. I would love to try some. Think I will check the database and see what they need.
Linda Kay that is beautiful. I think mine is a wee bit darker--have it near my Sun Parasol and the pink and red , surprisingly, do nice together. Sorry Jaye, I used the "P" word!! LOL
I have not tried lily's or iris's here. They just seem to be short lived blooms, and I like things that bloom most of the summer! Like my roses, and Angel trumpets!

Afternoon ladies
Just checking in from th elocal library for a few minutes while returning some dvds I rent for the kids.. Tristen is home sick with strep throat with Max so I was able to sneal away for a few minutes. She woke up yesterday morning at 4 am crying so off to the hospital we went and low and behold she has strep throat.. Ugghhh She did get to see 4 deer in the parking lot at the hospital which made her very happy. They wandered over and were headed on teh garage when we pulle din it spooked them.. The hospital sits high so the top of the garage is at level with the hospital and the bottom is down the hill. I overheard the security gaurd and apparently while he was trying to get them out of the garage a car came flying through and two of them jumped over and didnt make it.. I didnt have the heart to tell Tristen what happened after she was so excited to see them.
Tony is loving school but his knee has been giving him fits and bothering him quite a bit in the afternoons. He is doing well though just alittle ice and ocassionally a tylenol to make it go away when its bad. We are hoping its not his illness popping back up but we are waiting for the medicaid to kick in before trying to run him to a doctor. He says its not bad enough to go to the doc but I think we will have it checked out soon as we can just to be sure.
Max is working 2 jobs part time and one will be full time very soon. Funny how things are working out. We have talke dto teh twins regularly and they will be comming over again this weekend again. Their mother called last night wanting to chat with Max.. She was being very sweet and asking if we actually got married.. ugghhh as if she has a cjance to get him back.. He told her he had never been happier and she burned that bridge a long time ago (I was doing laundry and overheard).. Then she informed him that the girls have already asked to move in with us and that they loved their new mom.. TThey really are great girls and only need alittle attention. This weekend I am planning on teaching them how to make lasagna and cupcakes.. Apparently their mother can ruin a microwave meal.. LOL
As for me well things are comming along. Im still waiting on my liscense transfer and searching out all my options for barbershop work. I still have been offered the job at the local shop but in 3 weeks I have NEVER seen a customer in there and that bothers me. So Im looking into a chain shop that pays hourly plus benifits and commision, and tips.. Better to be at least making an hourly wage than to be sitting in a shop not making any money at all.
My poor yard is soo sad.. lol I met a local master gardener and she brough me some hosta starts and says she will be sending some black eyed susans too but its so bare Im lost.. The yard needs mowed but I havent gotten a mower so after the rain stops we will be breaking out the weedeater... The nieghbor said we could borrow hers but when I pulle dit out yesterday it has a bad gas leak, front wheel falls off and it wont stay running for more than 5 seconds.. I posted on freecylce but havent had any luck yet and everything Max makes is going to bills for now. It will all work out just takes time.
As for the smoking its comming along.. I am down to just about a 5 a day as the cold turkey didnt go so well. I was a mess and grouchy really really grouchy.. Alittle at a time
Anywho better get to checking all my mail..

Donna
Hey Donna, so glad to see you checking in! Sounds like things are getting settled in slowly, but that is normal for anyone that moves. Ask Laura, and Cindy! Just take it one day at a time. Sorry to hear Tristen has strep throat. That seems to be going around this time of year. Hope you got some good meds for it! Let us know how your job hunting goes!
God Bless
Linda Kay

BJ, my Bleeding Heart bloomed earlier this spring. The flowers are all gone and the leaves are now drying up. They like to be kept cool and moist. Where mine is sitting at my mom's gets the early morning sun till about 11 am then shade the rest of the day. I've never looked up anything about them. You I'm just now really geting serious about gardening. Before it was just plants to make my yard look pretty. Now it's grow, save seeds & bulbs, know history, trade with friends (all of you gals). Also my Bleeding Heart is in a big pot but I'm going to put it in the ground. It will be growind around the fish ponds at my moms. Between mom and I we will have 800 gallons of fish pond plus 4 half wine barrels of fish. I'm hoping that my idea that I have will turn out pretty. I'm going to take before and after pictures of them. I'm so looking forward to getting settled at my mom's and she is very anxious for me to get there too.
My cousin was here until 2 am(didn't get up until 9:00 am and I'm still tired) helping me pack. She was packing my craft books and had to stop and read some of them and was saying I want to do that. I said "Well Deb, you will just have to come to mom's and play with us. I want to do craft shows and flea markets. My mom loves doing stuff like that. Gives her a good excuse to talk to people, lol. She has become really gabby these past few years. She always said that my Aunt was gabby, lol look at her now.
Well, must get dressed and get to Wal-Mart and back before it gets too hot. Hey LK, Thanks for sending that triple digit weather this way, LOL.
LOL, Anytime! More than glad to shre the warm weather. Anyone else want some? LOL
LK
Donna.. like I said.. ex wives' losses.. our profits ;) Hug Tristen for us please. Tell her there are angels all around to make sure she gets better ;)
LK, you're too fast!! Thanks for helping a sistah in need.
Don't stay away Tina-Tia.. dmail one of us to let us know how you're doing. And in the meantime, we'll pray for your welfare.
Cindy, looks like you're reeeeeeealllllllllly moving forward!! Amen sistah!! Your mother is just glad to have you at home now. She's a treasure... and you both can be happily occupied doing the crafts you love. Imagine, no more headaches.. or cleaning up after Rick..
Synda, did you say goodbye to your GF yet. Bet you missed her already.
Cody, I hope you are completely over your sinus infection.
Well.. cable's fixed...off to daily chores.
Hey Jaye, did you get your sattelite fixed? I bet it gets blown around in those storms?
Take care.
LK
Duhhh.. that's what I meant.. the satellite..
Yes LK. The original installer had taken short cuts! So this poor guy had to rewire and do the proper 9 yards adjustment in the rain too!
Kel should be happy, now he's able to watch his shows while I monopolize the one in the living room.
Amen for the showers today. All the trees need a good soaking, especially the Louisiana Bald Cypress.
Cindy, Trisha.. my herb book came in!!!
Yippeeeeeeeeee..........
Cool!!! My cousin was saying that she has been sweating at night time, I laughed and told her she is begining menopause she says but I still have periods, don't matter you are just begining so I showed her the book. She ended up reading the whole thing!!! That's one reason why we were up untill 2 am.
Linda Just left a wee bit ago......I love company, and Linda is like my only sister ,but it's nice to be back in my own routine. But I do miss her when so much time goes by without getting to see each other.
Tina ((((HUGS)))) we miss you girl.....hang in there and keep in touch with with us. We are good listeners.
Donna you guys take care....hope the kids are feeling better soon....
Cindy sounds like you have some wonderful plans....wish we lived closer.....the craft fairs and everything sound wonderful....I love stuff like that but I need someone else to work with... I just can't stay on track and get anything done if left on my own.......wish there was a pill for that!
Afternoon all.....begged off errand with mom and sis.....me and my stomach have not been getting along well this week....getting really tired of it. So I am staying home, watching baseball and making deviled eggs for the get together tonight.....that is a lot of eggs!!! Glad we don't too many dinners with mom.....most of us need and are trying to stick with a reasonably healthy low fat diet....Mom wants no part of that everything has to be the full fat high calories stuff and canned or frozen cooked to mush veggies and desserts with as much sugar and butter as you can manage....the infuriating part is if she doesn't read the package or isn't told it is low fat she doesn't know the difference ninety nine percent of the time......and yes I would love to just do all the shopping and cooking if I could but just can't afford to:( So I just bite my tongue and try to not eat too much of it. At least Donna is wanting to go the Farmers Market today so hopefully we will get some decent veggies tonight. Mom's comment is that she has eaten this way for 80 years and is doing just fine.....can't convince her that she would not have some of the health and weight issues she complains about all the time if she would change her diet......or do any kind of exercise, but we don't want to go there either.......
Waving to everyone I have missed but I need to get going on some things....talk to you later.
yipppeee Jaye!!! Isn't that a wonderful little book??? Laura and I have already started planning a few pots we want to get started right away!!
Here is an Email I received today from SIL........Funny.
LAST CHILD SUPPORT CHECK!!!
Today be my baby girl 18th birthday.
I be so glad that dis be my last child support payment!
Month after month, year after year, all dose payments!
So I call my baby girl, LaKeesha, to come to my house,
And when she get here, I say, "Baby girl,
I want you to take dis check over to yo momma house
And tell her dis be the last check she ever be gettin' from me,
And I want you to come back and tell me the 'spression on yo momma face."
So, my baby girl take the check over to her momma.
I be anxious to hear what she say, and bout the 'spression on her face.
Baby girl walk through the door, I say,
"Now what yo momma say 'bout that?"
She say to tell you that "you ain't my daddy" .
and watch the 'spression on yo face"!!!
Lawd a Mercy !!!!!!!!
A smile is contagious, pass it around.
I was kinda going to say the same thing BJ that Cindy did-you need to plant them in the fall and look for them in the spring......the bleeding hearts....
Oh-and do we get to swim in the tub??
Take you fairy water wings and she might let you!
OOO-I will have to dig them out of the attic then;)
Can't risk having you drown, now can we? don't forget your fins and snorkel too!
Someone better have the camera rolling! LOL
I am sure someone will--BTW, just where do you think you will be? With us of course!!
Trisha, I lost that battle with my mum. But my mum passed away at 58, and dad at 51. We tried to promote healthy eating, still old habits are hard to drop, especially when she's such a fatalist. Amazing that her MIL was a herbalist, and she didn't follow her practise.
Yep.. great book we got, thank you Cindy. As soon as the rain clears, you bet I'll be gathering pots and start looking for herbs online. Some of them will be impossible to find at the local gardening stores.
My truck's ac went kaput. So, Kel's getting a new compressor and whatever 'do-dats' he needs. Cross your fingers will you. This will be his first time replacing one. Could ask our regular mechanic to do so, but don't blame him for wanting to save money.
Luckily there are lots of online help to fix practically anything!
Jaye let me know how the A/C project goes....mine has been out since we bought the car years ago....luckily we don't get very many really HOT days.....uncomfortably warm, but not hot.
Jaye, if you find that motherwort lmk. I can not find it anywhere. Live plants that is, but dried and oils not a problem.

Look her for it.

Thanks for the link LK.....will have to see about ordering some once I get my list finished.
Fairy Butt... I'll fill that tub for you.
Guess I need to move those pots into the afternoon shade, then... huh?
I really, really wanted some bleeding hearts... maybe they'll survive.
Yea, LK... where do you think you'll be? I do hope DH decides to bring you... we'll promise him almost anything... I said "almost"...
Mike and I are on our way to the grocery store, and to get something to eat... I just don't want to cook... and he doesn't have any fruit in the house... heaven forbid.
BBL
