BJ ya know my door is open have the air mattress I can put up in the living room for ya or the couch ....not sure if step son or son in law will be around so cant say I can put ya in one of those beds but I can offer the other two for ya

the boss and shop super are talking to the one gal today so we will see ...I want to dig into the district policies and make sure I have my p's and q's in order before i say anything as far as repercussions

Oh Marion, what a mess you have on your plate! Wish it was easy for you to just run the washing machine drain p ipes out to the back yard somewhere, so it will not go into the tank! Hope thay have an easy, and cheap way to fix it for you! They can be pricey.

Went to visit my friend, the one who just lost her husband, here's what happened last week:

On Sunday he was complaining of a fever, but since he teaches kindergarten and bar tends on the weekends they thought he just had the flu.
On Monday he was having pain in his lower back plus a mild fever still so she made him a dr appt for that afternoon. His family doctor has been his doctor since he was a baby so should know everything about him, right? They went to the dr, dr felt around and said he had a pinched sciatic nerve and gave him pain pills and some other medicine to relax it. No blood work or anything, even with the fever.
On Tuesday his pain was worse and he was lightheaded or something, they thought it was the medicine as that was a big side affect, still had the mild fever.
On Wednesday his pain was so bad he was laying in bed shaking. She called his dad over to help get him in the car to go to ER after calling the dr. and letting him know what was going on.
Dr. showed up at ER, they loaded him up with pain meds through an IV without looking at his chart and seeing he's on blood pressure pills and other miscellaneous medications. He laid in the hospital bed all night Wednesday night.
Thursday morning they loaded him up with more pain meds and sent him in for an MRI, Still no blood work was done, his fever was very high at this point. His heart stopped on the MRI table, his family dr & hospital staff revived him for about 10 minutes, then he was gone.

Crissyr, how sad. Is this a case of negligence?

Linda Kay, I think because we are on the lake side, we have to have our washer going into the tank. Need to check that out further in the HOA handbook. Yes, they can be pricey and that is why I am so strung out today--and unfortunately might effect my travel plans--just like retirees, widows live on limited incomes also. Why couldn't I have been born wealthy instead of so darn beautiful? That's a joke in case some misunderstands!!!

I hear you on the budget! I think most of us have them, and can't do much about it! I do hope it works out for you.

Marion we're wondering that. You know how men are, they won't say anything until it's gotten serious, but a minimal fever isn't serious in my opinion, especially for a 33 year old.

Morning Everyone,

I'm not overdoing it, I swear. I take long breaks every now and then. I sit down and catch up on my shows that are on tivo. Then work for a little while more. My mom is in a bigger hurry than I am, lol. I keep telling her not to worry that everything is alright. She's upset that my daughter and SIL won't get here until noonish to help. I told her that was alright, that all the will need to be done is load in the back of SIL truck. My cousin will be here today to help with the packing. Rick has been helping with loading the utility trailer with stuff. We are getting along ok. He is now at the Human Resources signing up for medical and food stamps. Then will be posting an add for a room mate. He will be just fine. He promised to take care of my flowers until I can dig them up for the winter.

So now I need to get dressed and do some more packing then to Wal-mart for some potting soil to transplant one of my house plants out of one of his planters. I was hoping he would let me have it, but it was his late wife's and it is one of the two part ones that are expensive. I will check in every now and then.

I agree a low grade fever in a 33 yo isn't right. I was wondering about the not checking meds he was on before adding new meds to the mix. I would be concerned about that.

OH, MARION !!! PLEASE don't back out... sheesh... YOU GOTTA COME!!!
But, I do understand the set back... I'm praying really really hard that it's going to be a cheap, simple fix... I'm counting on it.

Crissy... I do hope the wife of your friend has a really good attorney... that many days after initially seeing the doctor... he should have had some blood tests...

Phyllis... I'll call you closer to the weekend to let you know what I plan on doing... they want me to help with the orientation, so I would think that they should make room for me at the lake house... at least.

It happened to me too. First clinic misdiagnosed me and sent me home.. the following day when I still didn't recover, I begged Kel to rush me to the hospital. That hospital turned around and despatched me post haste to another that specializes in heart cases. I could have died....
Phyllis, all the good advise here. Yep, cross all your t's and dots all your i's on your fact finding mission. If the top management failed to take action, then perhaps you can get legal help. But I won't quit my job over some fools.

Got my new driver's license today. Boy, do I look like strange, cause the camera's too close to my face!!

Oh trust me, BJ and Jaye, I am so hoping it is going to be a simple inexpensive fix but I must admit I am getting concerned. If I have to cancel it will NOT be because I want to, rest assured of that, but because funds make it necessary to. I don't get the next payday from the stock hubby left me until July and that makes it rough. So for now, let's not panic--just hope for the best.

They thought at first the down spout was the problem but I can vouch that is NOT the problem. Sure glad the jasmine is in full bloom or I might have to leave here until fully repaired. LOL

Marion... I'll make it really easy on you... You need NO money for Room, Food, or anything else... just gas... and I'll even help you with that, if you need it... It's VERY important that you get to make this trip.

We finally got a house sitter to take care of our older dog with special needs, 3 house cats, 5 yard cats, a raccoon, 2 possums, and of course Lola... plus watering an hour's work of plants!

BJ, that is so sweet, I am NOT canceling unless the mess gets to be extremely expensive then I might have to reconsider. Shucks do you really think I would deliberately miss a chance to meet all and most of all, harass Tink in person? Come on now!!! Just hanging in there until I know otherwise. I have also contacted the financial adviser who handles my account (after funds are dispensed) and he said there just might be a way to handle everything until the funds come, so see I am covering all my bases.

For now, I am continuing to make plans, got my pillowcase clean and ready to travel, my special pj's (yes same as case--what did you expect) and all my bestest

Ok, not good means I have to have a new drain field to the tune of 5 big ones!!! Called a friend who was our best man (and hubby's bestest buddy) and we talked so I feel much better about what they told me and the price. He said I was lucky to have gotten 37 years of service in this area. He is a geologist also so I feel better than I did--not happy mind you but better. He did say to call when they come to do the work and he would keep an eye on things as this is somewhat in his field of work .. Gave me a list of questions to ask ahead of time regarding materials and how the work will be done.

I AM planning on being at BJ as of now. Me and JD!!! Oh yes Deborah also. LOL Crissy not my party but come on down!!!

Took my granddaughters and their parental units to Costco tonight--what a laugh with that bunch. The youngest insisted on pushing the cart to help me--this child is petite and the cart towers over her but she found a way. Pick up some things for the end of school party and oh my at the beautiful pork loin roast they had!! Son offered to smoke one this weekend so I just might go back and get one after thinking about it. They took me to dinner and I am exhausted but oh so content. Much loving is good for one's soul!!!
