I'm here... but, about to go to bed... I've struggled this whole day to stay afloat... I think all these gray, muggy days are getting to me. Hopefully, we'll have some sunshine tomorrow.

Did you know that asparagus is the most studied food around, and is reported to prevent and even treat cancer patients? But, for it to work you have to take small amounts every day for weeks and weeks. They say you have to cook it, puree it in a blender... keep it in a jar in the fridge. Then take 4 tablespoons in a glass of water 3 times a day. Sort of an Asparagus Tea, I guess.

Learnt something new everyday. 4 tbsp. in a glass of water doesn't sound too bad.

tea from asparagus whole plant extract ..
§►may decrease homocysteine levels
§►Is a good alkaline agent for better health
§►May increase bone marrow, thymus and spleen function
§►May decrease renal glomerulus re-absorption and increases kidney function
§►May improve intestinal and stomach membranes which will aid digestion and absorption of nutrients
§►Excellent for the mother with child. Folic acid is known to be vital in preventing birth defects.

Then there's asparagus ROOT tea. Claimed to be beneficial for kidneys. A good diuretic.

All these of course came with the small prints that FDA hasn't made any evaluations to their claims.

Think I'll stick to just fresh asparagus!

Well I am off to work but wanted to stop in and say hello... I found 3 ticks on me and I don't like that..grrrr Two were not attached but one was as it just bit me..LOL
Jaye, those are not weeds they are all sunflowers...LOLOL If that is what you meant...LOLOL they come from the bird feeders and I go and weed them out but leave some and in summer it looks great... ^_^
I wanted to ask if you all could send me your home emails as I lost them all and if I had your phone number could you please email me that also as I may not it in my book :-(

MORNING!!!! I had a rough afternoon-I stood out talking to my neighbor for like an hour and when I came in I had a slight burn on my front and my shoulders were worse. I ate something and right after that I started to get really tired and really cold. So I went a laid in bed all night....feel much better today.

Synda-so jealous of your porch-like someone else said I have always wanted a wrap around porch to sip tea on in the summer:( Oh well.....

Jaye, I don't have a wrap around porch, so next best thing is a wrap around garden! Eventually thats what will be in the front yard of the house...Tried to put it in last year but I just wasn't there long enough to keep it up, maybe I will attempt it again this year...sighing, nice dream tho.

Well, I have been searching high and low for my glasses and my cell phone, still no sign of either, driving me nutso!

OK, I've got to get moving here got some work to do around house and for Steve...Now I've been hired to type Julia's paper. LOL, she doesn't have to pay me, but whatever she offers I won't turn down...So far she has 10 handwritten pages, so that ought to keep me busy for a while.

So ladies, I've a little issue with my DD#2...She's going to be 16 this year, all of the sudden, she has become depressed, has no friends, can't grasp what she is learning, refuses to join anything extra...I am starting to get anxiety over the matter. I had a long talk with her and she just keeps saying nothing has happened she just doesn't know what the problem is. All year she was doing excellent, now she is ready to give up, I just am not sure what I can do for her...I have re-assured her her that she is loved, and we know she has difficult time learning, but she needs to ask for help, I can't read her mind. OH my gosh, no one can make a friend sitting in there room, I said you have to go up to people and let them get to know you, people these days...Thought maybe I should send her to a doc, she won't go so i told her then she needs to talk to us, everything can't be I don't know! Please just say a prayers this doesn't last too long...Personally I think this is over a boy and her friend, This all started when DD2 introduced the two...but she won't say.
So thats part of why i haven't been on, no to mention playing in soil!

Morning All,

Starting to feel much better. Yesterday my biggest fish laid eggs. Then sometime during the night I think a racoon came in. Alot of my biggest fish are gone, the plant are all disturbed and the water was all murky. :( I've had that one fish for 9 years and she laid eggs every year. I did collect some of the eggs. But I don't know if they were fertile or not. Notice another fish laying eggs this morning.

Dag nab it, anyhow! Everytime I try to save some money so that I can get me either a hot house or a new monitor something comes up and eats it urgghh :( . What really gets me though is these BIG bills are Rick's? $200 from when he had his toes operated on, that's is what the insurance wouldn't pay. Well looks like I better round up all my candles and get a booth at the local flea market.

Yes, Synda your porch is awesome. Do you hang baskets of flowers? Hey Synda how come we never see a pix of you? It's either your mom or hubby.

Cindy, hand him the bill and tell him to take care of it! Most places will work with you on setting up a payment plan. You don't have to pay it all at once. The hospital here will let you pay as little as $10.00 per month!

Judy-a lot of girls go through this when they hit 16-18. A big part of what I went through was trying to figure out who I was...and who I wanted to be.

LK, I would if he had any money,lol. He doesn't get very much from unemployment. I don't know what we are going to do if he doesn't get a job before it runs out. There is NO way my checks will cover all the bills, plus for food and gas.

I thought he got a new job last week? It did not go through?
Maybe that will give him more incentive to get a job?

Yeap Stacey you have it right!! I have so used to living where we had sewer connection I didn't realize with all the rains we have had that was what was happening. Dumb me!! Of course, the person who built this house 35+ years ago was exactly the smartest about some things. Don't misunderstand, great house just has some quirks. Then, I guess they all do.

That was just filling out an app. He hasn't heard anything yet. They are suppose to call for interveiws this week. It's service work and he hates that kind of work. He has no ambition at all, he's very LAZY.

Sorry Susan, I meant to say... personally, I love all blooms including weeds!! Not referring to yours as weeds! In fact I had those sunflowers sprouting the last 3 years from the bird seeds. They only grow as tall as 3 foot, and when they bloom, still as pretty as those hybrid ones!

Maid M.. I do hope it won't cost you a fortune! Your septic tank's probably sitting on low grounds.
Pretty soon we'll have to get our septic tank cleaned out, and it's gonna cost us about $150.

My niece was acting like that.. brilliant in class and popular.. then last year, she withdrew into herself, and shun all social activities. This went on for months, until my sister knew something is wrong when she quits talking about boys and kept away from her BFF.
Well, dad has the 'smarts' to check into her pc activity. She was chatting with a much older man...

That's frustrating Cindy. You're doing your best to keep your family afloat. Maybe you should carry a big stick around him! Sure hope he'd get a job soon.

Well Good Morning all have been very busy I go to work for 9 hours and come back to a new page and 35 post.
we worked late till 5 am and then I got home by 6 by the time we got back to the yard and than took off half my clothes it was daylite and 6 than woke up at 8 and than again at 10. Found out we will be working all week at night this is killing me but its money and maybe I will be able to make a double payment june 1st

Will have to look for the herb book.....herbs are my main garden plants......for some of the hard to find ones you might check on the herb forum....someone there should know where to come up with most things...
