Kim, your tree might be a redbud tree.

I planted fruit trees for the neighbour's kids. Last year, I had fun watching them picking out the juicest fat blueberries. Plenty of wild blackberries around here too.
Hoping to introduce them to persimmons this year. Would love to plant a mulberry tree.
Good Lord.. this is grape country huh Bonnie? Love those black muscadines. Just too bad for me.

Kim, if that's a maple like Synda said, don't cut it down... the leaves are beautiful.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

BJ, your grapes and Arbor sound wonderful....don't forget pictures!!! I would like to do some grapes here too....

Jaye, are they wild persimmons like we had in Oklahoma when I was a kid? Loved the persimmons and the wild plums!!!

I have Hops growing over the back patio.....hope they will cover the top for some shade this year! Got them in too late to do much last year.....Jasmine going up the other side.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, I love Wheat.......you should frame that picture, it is beautiful!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Coming from a great photographer like yourself, Trisha.. I'll heed that advice!
The persimmons are grafted Japanese persimmons. Fuyu. They stay firm when ripe and not astringent. We do have some wild persimmons, but rather have those Fuyus. Seedless too.
By the way, are you still using your Sony? Think after the trip I'd like to return to a Sony.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Actually Jaye, it is a Sanyo vpc-e760.......I love it....it also does audio recording and/or video in addition to the regular and macro shots.....and it only cost me $80 at WalMart. Won't tell you how many times I have dropped it and otherwise abused it. It has been a really good little camera.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's it?? That will make a great camera to carry around in my apron pocket.
Not happy with this Canon. Might check into that Sanyo. Thanks Trisha.

Jaye I have gotten myself trained that I never walk out the door without my phone in one pocket and the camera in the other...it is easy this time of year when I wear a vest all the time......guess I will have to make sure all my shorts have cargo pockets this summer...or make a summer weight version of the old Photographer/Hunter vest I had years ago....

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I like that Synda...maybe just a touch more to the yellow side.....

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

What a busy bunch of people today!! No plants or blooms to show but I did get a new lawnmower, does that count? All bright and shiny red.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Did you get the Troybilt??

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I sure did--floor model as it was the last one and they discounted it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh you're lucky.. we got ours at regular price! You'll enjoy it!
So easy to use. But be careful, that thing has some speed too.

OK.. back to AR.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Can't believe this ball game...going into the 14th inning with a 7-7 tie!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, here's Mike helping Don with part of the grape arbor.

Jaye, tell Kel, it's 8' tall so he won't bump his head when he walks under it.

Kim, like I said... I thought I was wrong about those...
