Tante-tell Uncle Kel that I LOVE that look!!LOL Oh-you have email....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

This is Amaryllis Apple Blossom. From a pinkish tint last year when it's in a pot, this year it's darker, almost red.. must be the soil and it's in full sun too.

Kel says.. "Why, thank you.. you're just too sweet!"
ROFL!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye, such pretty flowers......And a sexy Kel !!!!!! You need to frame that Picture,it is a priceless one,now we're startin to have fun.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, I don't have a problem with spraying in some places.....but they come through here and spray everything in site......!! I just prefer to be selective with what I spray, like all the #(&$ Blackberries that grow all over the back lot!! We are slowly getting control of those by pulling up/cutting everything that comes under the fence then Antonio goes over the fence and sprays them once or twice a year......I love blackberries, just not all over my lawn and flower beds!! Dandelions.....I just try and pull the flower heads before they go to seed when I see them....Antonio has managed to keep most of them out of the lawn.

Laura and I had to laugh at Sages school last week....the beds have all been weeded and heavily mulched......in several places there are beautiful large clumps of yellow flowers that have been neatly weeded around and mulched.......yep!!!!! Dandelions!!!! Guess I can't talk though....I have these beautiful little blue flowers in my back bed...most call them weeds (I don't know what they are but they are pretty) I keep them in check in this one spot for a bit of color when nothing else is blooming there.....

We were told to put 12-12-12 fertilizer on our lawns, because it make the grass so healthy it strangles out the weeds. But you have to do it like monthly.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Kel, Love the Jammies!!!
Jaye the Flowers are beautiful! I'm with you.....I couldn't give you a name on most of my plants if my life depended on it.....that's an Iris, that's a tulip and that is my Bee Balm....

Dang, why do I watch Paula Deen??? She makes the most wonderful stuff....can't eat any of it....but it sure does look good!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Synda, it takes a very brave man to pose in his wife's pjs!! Let the parade begin.
Kel says he want bottoms like that.. so comfy.

I do pull them out and lo and behold, all it takes is just a small piece left behind and you'll see the dandelions back in full force!
I'm like you Trisha, when nothing else is blooming, I leave the weeds alone.

Cody, my first bought rose this year. Kinda kooky!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Synda, I will have to try that......or maybe just get rid of all the grass and turn the whole yard into flower beds.....I have such a tiny yard anyhow....just leave a circle around the birdbath and a patch for the cat and dog and call that my lawn!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Now Synda and Trisha, would be nice if you both can make it to BJ's. Kel's a hoot to be around.. besides being cute!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Oh Jaye, you don't know how badly I wish I could be there....it is going to be so much fun!!! But it would take a winning lottery ticket...and I would have to buy one in order to win:(

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Then I'll bring your spirit along with me, Trisha.

Used to be the chances of winning the powerball lottery is 1 in 150 million.. now it's increase 1 in 197 million. The lottery commisions are making it harder.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Time to attend to some unfinished chores. See me later everyone!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, your not coming down with a nasty cold are you?
Be careful, and get some rest!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Trisha-I think we pay for those-those are forget me nots?? If so, then yes, I paid for 4 plants and still have 3 that are about to bloom for me....

Well, I am not too bright. I guess that I didn't do the sun thing right, cuz my back is worse, and my front is still nada-so I am sitting here in a strapless top with my hair up debating on how weird my neighbors will think me if I knock on their door and ask them to rub aloe on my back.....

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Stacey, I won't feel so bad about taking care of them now...don't know where they came from...I didn't plant them...have lived here almost 10 years....I see them in empty lots in the area, so I guess that is where they have migrated from.....as I said...I don't care if the classification is flower or weed...I like them, and they will stay in my bed cause they are pretty little things.

Sorry about the sunburn....wish I had enough sun to worry about it!

Baseball game is on so guess I will work on cleaning the front room while I listen to the game....

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye I have a picture of Rick wearing my Bra.....No small task..........LOL and it is even stuff with socks...........ROFLMBO

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Kim, that first one looks like an azalea... didn't know they grew that far north...
The second one looks like a Pear Tree in flower...
I'm probably wrong... so wait till you get some more people to respond.

It's almost a grape arbor !!!! YIPPEE
I went to Home Depot to get two more grape vines... now I have 2 Flame and 1 Concord (both seedless) for table grapes(or jelly or juice)... and I have 1 (cant remember the name) for making wine (can also be used for jelly or juice, but it has seeds).
Should have them in the ground tomorrow.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Looks like you have a few daylilies too:) Make sure to trim your lilac bushes right after they bloom-they do their growing after that and need old wood to bloom on.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

There's a certain breed of Azaleas that grow here-60% of the people in my sub have them in their front yards....but I think Kim's right-her first one is a Rhododendron.

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

So you don't trim them in the fall you trim the brush right after they bloom right Thanks Stacey
Thanks BJ I don't think that tree is pear but I could be wrong

Raleigh, NC

Trisha, hope to someday have that problem with blackberries, I do love a great blackberry cobbler. but so far, mine don't produce enough fruit to feed the birds, much less me.

my neighbor in Idaho planted rasberries. after he died, his went a bit wild like you are talking about. but we could reach over the picket fence and get a handful anytime we wanted some for cooking with his blessing.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

These are the large tame blackberry, not the little wild berry. They are extremely invasive here and take over everything.....would send all of them to you if I could Bonnie!!

Kim, Looks like you are going to have a wonderful yard!!!

Just took the dog for her after lunch walk around the block.....some nice things blooming...
