Cool Cody-I just wanted to make sure you knew since Chris's Dr. hadn't told him any of that and he ended up with it a second time....
The lure to an exotic country simply outweighs her fear of ribbiting creatures, Maid M. Unless it's required that she lives among them during her stay.. watch her hop higher than the frogs!! Lol!
Good luck Cindy.. hope Rick gets that job. Do wearing the copper bracelets work? I've seen some here still using them.. At one time it was horse hair.
Chicken soup, Cody..
Cleaning my gh now, it will be my summer craft room. Lots of light coming in.
See me later..
Have fun Tante Jaye-I will keep an eye out for an email with some more phrases today:)
What a way to start the morning.........mom takes her friend Doris across the street for her hair appointment on Thursday mornings.....before they got out of the driveway Doris had one of her attacks so we have had a street full of fire trucks, medics, ambulance.....all is well now, but not how I like to start my day. Got Bill off to work and finally have the dog settled down...she doesn't like it when there is so much tension going on.....me either! This is the 90 year old neighbor who has cancer, breathing problems and is prone to falling quite often. She had a bad spell last month while her daughter was on vacation and was in the hospital for several days....... now the daughter is going to Italy in a few weeks.... I do hope they are going to have someone stay with Doris, or have her stay at one of the local care facilities.......they cannot expect my mom and all the neighbors to be responsible for taking care of Doris while they are gone.....and they can well afford to have her looked after.
Beautiful sunshine today and it is supposed to be in the upper 60-low 70's today. Temps will start back down tomorrow with rain later in the week....so we will try and enjoy today and tomorrow while it is nice out! I am just ready for the nice weather to get here and stay for awhile....
Everyone have a great day!
Oh Trisha, I understand how you feel. I am trying to get everything in order as I might be needed to go help my sister with our 90 yo Mom when she has her knee replaced. She does live with my sister and honestly there are times I do think she would be happier in an Assisted Living facility. My sister still works and she gets so lonely but refused to move her and live with me and Kim. Whatever does one do?
Wish we had some of your rain as it is getting dry and having to water so as not to lose things I have planted. Never ended cycle, either to much or not enough.
waving hello! out in iris beds digging trades for the SA RU today.
It is a difficult decision Marion. Doris lives alone and we all check in on her throughout the week and the daughter is over most days.....I don't have a problem with this....but I don't think it is right for the daughter to expect all of the neighbors (of which at 80 my mom is the youngest) to have to be responsible for her, in her current health while the daughter is on the other side of the world and her son is at least a three hour drive away. There is just no easy answer.
Glady trade some rain for some sunshine!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cody I sure hope you two feel better soon. Sometimes kids take it easier than the adults, they just think play play play!
I'm so sorry about your friends court Bonnie, that really sucks.
I've been very busy today, whew! If these ladies don't call me back I'm not going to be able to work. Drives me nuts, I hate having stuff sitting on my desk.
Great recipes! I'll try them, thanks so much!
How are you feeling Bonnie? I sure have been enjoying the pictures of the irises you and Stacey have been posting. Beautiful just isn't the right word!!
Packing sunshine now but unfortunately there will be some humidity along with it today. Watch for it--now when can I see the rain? LOL
I understand about that situation. The sad thing with ours is my sister bought a house about 30 minutes drive away from me and after 4 years decided to sell it. Not so good in today's market. As it is, I am 8 hours away. Decided that mom could stand the move but in fact, mom was wanting to move. My sister has never lived anywhere but where they are now so that I think if part of the problem. Letting go.
Fairy your iris's aresocute pretty. all the3 flowers are so pretty.
Jaye i know about brug fever still trying.
thinking of all of you bew well, safe. happiness.
Twyla.. I should give up on them after what I went through in the winter.. still hard headed here. Can you grow daylilies? They are so easy.. that's what I should stick to :(
Oh my Trisha. You have an easy day today after what happened to Doris. Darn, you treat her better than her own family! That's a crying shame. I'd give anything to have my mama alive and staying with me right now.
Maid M.. we'll just set out the lawn chairs, sip some iced tea.... nibble on your famous lemon cookies.. and pretend we're at BJ's while waiting on the rain. Have a feeling it will be next week before we get any rain!
Crissy, you too should write a short novella based on your office ladies' characters. Get paid at their expense!!
Stacey.. going to my email.
LOL!! I should! Hilarious!
Only trouble with that Jaye, is the bugs have gotten really bad early this year! Right now it is so still and the humidity is horrible. Still have a fresh pitcher of mint tea but alas no lemon cookies today. Maybe later.
I can grow daylilies!! Just tell me how to keep the armadillos from digging them up. Castor oil treatment has worn off and boy I have some huge babies running around at night-looks like small dogs.
Iced Tea? Lemon Cookies? Sounds wonderful to me! Sign me up!
Mom just called.....they are back from Doris' hair appointment with no further incidents....needless to say mom is drained and ready for a rest. She did find out that they have been looking at some local facilities where Doris can stay while the daughter is in Italy. That is a good thing!!
They have closed at least one school in Seattle area due to the flu....there are now at least 6 confirmed cases in our state. Wish Bill didn't work with the public right now......a good time to just stay home and do things around the house.....
Your name is on the list Trisha!
Marion, try cayenne pepper or hot sauce!
Yeah, the mosquitos are out too early. Darn.. pass me that tub of vanilla ice-cream, please.
You all can't believe I've been craving for good old golden vanilla ice-cream. No good ones around here :(
So, problem taken care of there, Trisha. Doris must be relieved too.
Back to cleaning.. ahhh chooo... (allergies)
Good Morning Afternoon OH happy Night to much rain and I can rest till Monday night I am so happy it to dry up over the weekend so I will start on the yard all kinds of things are coming up what they are I have to wait and see could all be weeds but I don't think so.

If he makes it he will be with his sister and they need each other they are both great kids Hey thanks for reading the prayer note have a grat day will talk with you all latter
Hugs
Flaming Kim
Cody here is a picture of the rose's it is growing on the bottoms what should I do
Oh Jaye sure wish you had been here this morning to assist me with a little chore! When I went downstairs to get the morning paper I noticed the top door of the freezer standing open and a box of golden vanilla ice cream had melted--with some chocolate chip. Well you know what they say about getting lemons and making lemonade? We got a straw and had breakfast!!! Okay, so I thought about it. Otherwise I would share some ice cream with you. Only allow myself to have a little every now and then!!
Kim good to see you post. Isn't it exciting to have your own home and do things like you want them!! Enjoy.
OH please you are killing me with all these beautiful pictures. That one is something else.
Kim, I got the PJs! Thank you my dear.. they are so bright and cheery.. How do you know I'm directionally challenged? Kel says he'd never lose me at all wearing those PJs!! Thanks again, and I'll post pics as soon as I got some batteries.
As for the rose bush, I'd trim it down. My opinion, here. I'm sure you'd see new growth in no time. Will of course pray for your nephew. Good thing he has an interest in sports.
Darn Maid M.. I'll bring my own straw if I had known :D
Sistah Debra.. hope to 'read' you here soon.. I miss you!!
Sistah Kathy, will we see you at BJ's?
Hungry for prime rib tonight.. after reading how much Cindy enjoyed hers! Gonna forgo potato, stick to steamed veges..
That small box of Pad Thai wasn't enough for the day!
Bonnie, that SHOULD be our group flower!! Delicious indeed!
Oh Jaye I have plenty of straws!! Plenty of "cream soup" too. Just told myself it was a healthy shake for breakfast or another way of putting cream in my coffee.
Its a beautiful one. i have some daylilies but wonder if going to do a thing this yr. iris's are blooming. its raing again all we are having is rain and suppose to the next 4 or 5 days.. ugh. mud mud.
thinking of you all. have great friday and week end. blessings all.
Cody, imagine serving ice-cream soup to Alex? He'll be squealing!! Good idea there Maid M!
Bet those shakes are cheaper than the canned ones!
Twyla, it's hard to kill a daylily!! We're supposed to take a trip down a dl farm about 15 miles from here. I do hope she has some good sales like last year.. Send some rain over, I'm tired watering plants.
Time to wash this grime off me.. my noisemaker will soon be home.
Bet BJ and Mike are having fun on their jet skis right this minute!
Love the garcious curves, flower and name! Jaye I agrre, it is out official motto! LOL
Bj, I have called Mike twice now, and it just rings, then it says there is no voicemail set up yet, good-bye.
I will try again later, but let him know I said Happy Birthday!
Hey Kim, trim those dead sticks off the rose bush, it will come up nice and green for you!
LK
Hmm.. Sweet Interruptions to Gracious Curves.. not bad. But might be sending a different vibe to other DGers!!! Lololol!!
LK, Tubby will be the first to greet us!! Lolol..
Must be Mike's traumatized after hearing my singing, LK!!
Okay... see me later everyone!
Well, you could at least put the picture at the top of each thread?
LK
Tante-are you bringing the one DL to BJ's?? Also, what about ma petite??
That is normally used for kids, Stacey. As in ma petite fille. (my little daughter) or ma petite-fille (my little grandaughter).
He he he.. that DL is not multiplying fast enough. Hope I can find something at that farm.. don't you fret!
the reason I asked is that in a series that I have, one of the characters was originally french and then from New Orleans, always referred to his lady as ma petite
It's your story Stacey. When Cajun men refer to their loved ones as ma petite.. that would be kinda... well you see.. that means they ain't exactly small :D
On second thoughts, I've heard others using these.. Ma petite fleur.. or ma petite rose... that will work!
I'll see you sweet ladies later!
Thanks Crissyr.
Thanks Kimmie,go ahead and cut the dead off the rose so the rose will be healthy.
Jaye,we have been eating popsicles and to me they seen to make my throat burn more. The baby just chows down on his.
Cody-try the opposite then, something warm, like broth and see if that helps you at all
Jaye-I just wanted to be sure first.....I did replace all the Ma petite's already, so if you really think no, then I will leave them all out....
Stacey, it's from experience I am familiar with that term "Ma Petite" cause that's what my ex called me when I started to balloon. Good thing is he's smart enough not to call me that in public..
Now if you heard "Ma Petite Femme" (My little woman).. that's okay.. it's an acceptable slang for wife.
Aww Cody, I know you must be hurting. There's citric acid in the popsicles maybe... Yep, broth will be good for you. If I'm living closeby, I'll definitely make you a big pot of chicken or duck gumbo! That will make you feel better in no time!! Ooops.. forget it.. I always make it too spicy!
We decided to stuff ourselves at Ryan's instead of prime rib at a good steak house.
Trisha, thanks for the hugs last night. I left 'it' all in His hands today, and things turn out better!! Amen!!
Bj, Don't know why, but I can't get Mike on the phone? Hope he had a great Birthday! Sending him hugs! ((((((((((((((((((((((MIKE)))))))))))))))))))))
Good night all
LK
I am really starting to feel like a bad person. I have had 2 of the nastiest dmails....one lady the PO took until today to deliver her plants (almost a week later) and she blames me for her 3 dead plants......ahhhh....the reasons never to do a co-op-the nasty hateful things people say to you. I am apparently not a gardener and am not smart either......oh well-sorry, I had to vent....
So Jaye, what if it isn't a wife, like could my lead male call the lead female Ma Petite Femme???? Without marriage?????
Oh stacey I was in the begonia co-op and I feel so bad for Kathy the hostess. Some of those people are so rude.I'll NEVER do one.I got a Dmail because I was trying to defend her.My bad ,I guess.
