The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

Going out later today with my camera, I hope. It depends on how the kiddos behave. And, how hot it is outside compared to inside. Comfortable right now, but I have my morning chores to finish up.

Morning chores - good grief. Been working since 6:30 am and the dishes are still in the sink from last night and now I am adding another bowl. Gotta go back to work outside that is as I have no choice.........................

My bee friends were in the sun this time. Would have been better with a dark background, but...

I forget what this weed is called, and I don't feel like looking it up! But, it has the daintiest blue flowers on it.

Oh, let's do some more! Why not!

With this heat wave, everything's opening early. My wisteria never opens in April!

More luvly, luvly pics. Thanks all for sharing. I really like the tree pics.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

victor i was going to ask about your forest pansy - i see not blooms on mine and i'm concerned it may be a casualty - had the same concern last year and it turned out ok although no blooms - not so sure this year.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's always late for me, Bill. Also took a few years to get any blooms at all. Be patient.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i have other redbuds grown from sticks that are blooming now - standard eastern redbuds - this one is trying my patience - it looks like it has flower buds - still nada - i'm wondering if it is in the wrong spot? morning shade with afternoon sun and a little moist.

btw i am almost certain i lost the bloodgood out back behind the shirazz - been scratching the bark like i had poison ivy and nothing green - added a red baron to my order with David and asked that he hold them till next week - too hot to plant these guys right now. my waterfall lost all its leaves from the heat - watching all closely now and watering daily if needed.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Bummer on the Bloodgood. Know that feeling all too well. Still in mourning.

My Forest gets AM sun and PM shade. How's the drainage?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Holey Toledo wha! or I should say Holey Heatwave wha! Just looked up your weather. Is it usual for it to get so hot this early?!?!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it is in a raised bed so it should not be bad - it's located by the front steps near the wall i built last year. i thought these were pretty hardy trees as some of the others are in tough conditions although not wet and thrive.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

no dnut it is not - the whole ne got hit with this stuff - played 9 holes of golf at noon and it was blazing out there - just like my game:) shot a 44 for first time out not bad considering i had three double bogeys.

now i need to go rototill a bed to get ready for the peaches and cream from greers i got on saturday - wait till i show a pic of this baby - very nice tree!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Thanks wha. Great first game! I've been swinging the clubs but no games yet. I wonder why? O look. It's snowing. What a big surprise. Guess I better cancel my tee time. (snort)
