Ooops... oue est my manners :D
Good day sweet ladies!!
Susan happy belated birthday!!
Susan is a newbie, and I just want her to familiarize herself with great ladies of DG. Think she'll fit nicely with us here.
Marilyn, I can't imagine you sewing that many aprons?? Are they for sale?? Post pic of your grandsons please! We love pictures of kids, ask the rest of the granmas here!!
Donna, looks like you are moving on to great and better things. Now I hope that Tristan and Tony will like their new school and gain great friends. Main thing is you truly are blessed to have a rental that cheap. It will be around 800 in this tobacco county!
Darn Cindy, I can't attempt big dolls like that. I was proud to make my first cloth doll for LK. But I think I'll just stick to sewing aprons and quilts, when it comes to using the machine.
Sure envy your talent Cindy.
Hi LK, any more blooms from your garden? I was lauging so hard when you asked Cody to stick her nose in the brugmansia!!
I did that once, and there was a black gnat in there that moved to my nostril..........ewwwwwwwwww!!!
Deborah, I don't see that storyteller post much lately. I forgot his name too, and he has a beautiful rose garden.. is that whom you're talking of?
Ryan is a very good looking man, Synda. Well, being you posted of the age difference between you and Rick. Kel is 11 years younger than me. I was TERRIFIED when I learnt that, but he's truly been my blessing and age is not a factor when two people get along so well.
My ex was 15 years older than me.. yep, I go through extremes.
BJ, Don must be looking at a shorter Honey Do List. Don't push yourself to get things done. Remember, it too a century to build Rome!!
Cookie, we love you so much and so sorry I was late in getting the box out to you. Had to use that poo-poo box!! Almost sent Lola along!!
Now you have a new purse for your trip to BJ's!
(((((((((((((((((((((STACEY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
To everyone else I'm missing, do have a beautiful day!

You are very welcome Cookie.Enjoy!!!
Jaye,i always look in the flower before i smell it.
Ha!! I learnt that now, Cody!!
LOL!!
Morning sistahs...
I'm taking the day off.
My body is too sore to walk outside... and it's also raining today.
So, I think I might clean my kitchen... also need to get the cabinets on the sun porch cleaned out so I can store some stuff I need to get to pretty often out there. And that, my dear friends... is all I might get done today.
I've cut my first fresh flowers from my gardens this year.
Jaye it has been great Rick being that much younger than me,when we met he was 25 and I was able to train him WELL !!!!!!!!!!!............LOL.
Jaye... I don't have a century to get it all done... I only have about 1 1/2 months till Mem Day. And another 6 years on our 10 year plan to have this place the way we both envisioned it to be. Of course, boat cushions are staring at me too, which is something I didn't schedule for... sheesh... I got to start being more clear to Don when I say NO.
Oh, Synda... that's hilarious.
Jaye and anyone headaches. i have migraines for 50 yrs i think now. this is day 25 dr. said no aspirin or any pills for headaches no nsaids nothing so arthritis is killing me cahn hardly walk pain is horrible but headaches not so long lasting and hardly any she said its called rebound as been taking everyhtin anything for them but the pain in back legs hands i would rahter take at least 2 doses a day for about 30 % relief can walk at least. lol.
RoseGirl drooling over your brugs how i wish.. beautiful...
Hi everyone i know Jaye shes a real angel..
have nice happy week end. blessings
Twyla
BJ.. we're going to see you! Like Maid M would say, not your garden.. nor your abode.. just being with you will be a lifetime priveledge. Do take it easy dear sistah.
Synda, I raised my ex and Kel's babying me now :D Nice turn of events...
It's in the 50's.. too cold to be outside for me.. so I know I'll be sewing some. I'll be in the house if anyone needs.. :D
Oh Lord!! Twyla I think we'll just send you a bottle of Bailey's for you to cope with your pain!
I had to take extra Tylenols!
About time you all woke up! BJ, love the flowers, they are so pretty! Feels good to have your own flowers to enjoy!
Twyla, sure hope you find something to give you some relief!
BJ, you wait long enough, and we will all be there to help with those cushions!
Well, it is just Dad and I for the week-end. Todd is off to Austin, for the Lonestar round up. It is a big yearly hotrod round up. Lots of old cars. We went to it in 2006, and had a great time. Dad could not manuever the streets, and everything in his chair, so I told Todd to go by himself, and have a good time! He will be back Sunday afternoon.
Later
LK
and I got no flowers to offer my sistahs........... :(
Never been to any car show LK. I bet there'll be only sounds of hot rod engines revving up.
Lots of them, I told him if he buys another hotrod, he will have to buy a trailer to get it home!
If it's a El Camino, tricked up to a hot rod, I bet Tod will find a way to bring it home :D
Well LK.. if he did that.. he'd be getting you anything you want for your garden.. that would be a nice trade!
Oh that would be a wonderful trade! One hot rod, one more garden feature!!! I like that! LOL
LK
I know Jaye... but this all needs to get done anyway... I just don't want to spend the heat of the summer getting it all done... this way...I'll have it all done by the end of May, and can take it easy this summer during the heat of the day.
Hey Stacey, if you're reading this.. SMILE niece!
The grits trick worked!!! I haven't seen any ants on the mounds I sprinkled on last week!!! Yippppppppppppeeeee!
So cheap and effective!! You're certainly a smart one!
Now, come on down and talk to us!
Staceypoo, I miss you. :(
Awww.... ((((((((((Deb)))))))))))
We all miss her..
and we've been missing Debra too. I know she's been busy, but sure do miss her..
We miss Kathy too. Come on girls, time to come out and play!
LK
Sis Kathy's been playing hide and seek!
Oh ladies, I'm taking a break! I didn't get all of the aprons finished today. girlfriend showed up wanting to go yard saleing, and who could resist that temptation? lol I went. so put me behind on the aprons but I only have 4 left. Have three dresses left to do and 1 blouse. taking the weekend off to spend with my grandsons. Monday is the oldest one's birthday and grandma has set him up with all the garden tools he will need to help her with her flowers and veggies. He will be thrilled. Jaye asked for pics of them, so I will post my favorite of the little one. He loves to go dirtbike riding with dad. And when he's not on the bike, he's wearing dad's gear. I ended up getting him a helmet and bike boots for his last birthday . This pic is where he just 'wiped' out from riding and playing. He got quiet in his room and when I went to check on him , he was sound asleep. Still had the helmet and gloves on.
And here is my birthday boy. He will be 8 Monday. This is Allen to the left looking at the camera. First time he got to carve a pumpkin all on his own. Grandma lets him do 'big-boy' things,. at least that is what he said. lol
cold outside, so the old sheet on the kitchen floor worked quite well, and they had ball, dad even got down on the floor with them, and they had a good time.
By the way, that is Caleb's mom and dad standing with him. Scott is my third oldest son and just graduated from Ft. Eustis as a helicopter pilot. In his spare time he AND Caleb are in the Missouri national guard, and Scott is a game warden in Missouri.
God bless your grandbabies Marilyn! Looking at those pics, I tell myself, if ever you need some muscle help in your garden, there are the boys!!
And oh, I bet you bake all the time for them. They look like they love being at their nana's.
Thank you for sharing.
We'll be gone this evening.. nothing unusual. Will be picking up gardening tools. Anything to help this poor back of mine.
Ahhhhhhh a beautiful girl on John Deere.. perfect poster picture for Dave's Garden!
Oh yes, all those grandkids love to help grandma, and it's such a thrill to have them. I'll post one more pic then let you all have the thread, grandsons coming in now.
This is how my boys and grandsons spend their off time. this is only two of my sons and all my grandsons. They love to ride.
I'll be back later. got to go spoil some. OHHHHH being grandma is so much fun!!!!
Yes, and she even helped me do some restoring on it. That project took me two years. lots of help from my sons, and lot of research for parts and that's where I met ebay. lol
After being left on my own though, I needed to survive, so a nice gentleman in N.C. bought the tractor. I had completely, along with the help of my fourth oldest son, had completely rebuilt that tractor. The man got a very good deal, and I ate and kept my roof over my head.
Calling Maid M.... Deborah... get working on your kids... you all need more grandbabies. Right Cookie?
Marilyn, I do hope you'd get another good tractor soon.
My FIL had to sell his collection of Allis Chalmers to help pay his hospital bills.
OK,I need to vent, whine what ever it's called trying to be ladylike this is a PG site....Yesterday the weather was beautiful,so I went out and planted some stuff and did what I could in between taking breaks.Overall good day.Last night I did not sleep one wink, finally fell a sleep around 7:30 am.SIL calls at 10:00am saying it's time to get up,I tell her I didn't sleep all night, her reply is well maybe you should take some benadryl. But I stay up and start my day......mom calls at 2:30 and I didn't answer because I had sat down to watch a soap at 1:00 that I like and fell a sleep.I call her back and she ask where I was and being honest, I said I fell a sleep. Her reply is maybe you're taking to much at night to sleep.I take what the Doctor has told me to take.Or I have heard some tell me I think you have your days and night mixed up.And yes what I take would make most people sleep for days.
But why is it when people can't or have no idea what or how you feel judge you.And that is what I feel from my family and some of my friends, that I'm being judged.Do they honestly think I enjoy staying up all night by myself, not getting things done throughout the day.I want to be normal so bad it drives me crazy.I want to go to sleep at night, get up clean my house, plant my flowers, cook a wonderful meal, enjoy going to town and to the store.I have a niece that is 21 years old and have ask her repeatedly to come help me clean my house and get a few things done, but my other SIL has her convinced I really don't have anything wrong with me I just am lazy and want attention.
Yes that has been my goal in life to hurt and feel worthless.Sometimes I get scared Rick will get tired of me not being able to do things and leave.
I'm sorry just having a bad moment. Thanks for letting me vent.
Well I'll BBL,just seen the time and Rick will be home in an hour.I want to run to the store and get something to cook on the grill since it is so beautiful out.And I have missed it.But that was my plan.......to miss a beautiful day after all the snow and yucky one.
Synda, and you posted the truth! "Only God can Judge You"!
Now, now.. you must NEVER let others ruin your day. Would you like me to find some natural calming herbs for your SILs.. ..
You have Fibro, and those erratic pains can set your body schedule out of sync!
Rick didn't marry a maid!! Please Synda, you're being too harsh on yourself. From what you've said of Rick, it seems to me he loves you no matter what, and he's not the kind of guy to listen to stupid people! He lives with you and can see what you're going through.
Since my surgery, instead of getting and feeling better, my meds truly dictate what I can or cannot do. Sometimes I read postings here and truly wish of the energy others have. But I came to realize some meds I'm taking will give me loss of energy. Though the minerals I've been on regain some of that loss back.
Tell you what sistah.. next time someone lets you down like that.. tell them to pray for you to get better, instead of criticizing. They shouldn't be throwing stones at you, when they live in glass houses themselves!
I'm getting ready to go to the big box stores soon. See me later ladies.
Cody.. it's almost finished :D
oh wow - yeah, still having issues with the spins. and still can't concentrate, but some of these photos of grandbabies remind me of our old family reunions down in Blue Mt., Miss. on Pappy's homestead. Uncles taking us out on the tractor to raid the watermelon patch for everyone to have a bite. Easter egg hunts where the country cousins would find the hard boiled eggs and simply start peeling them.....does any one eat eggs the old country way anymore? wee bit a salt and just bite in. we thought they were nuts! but then we tried it. then we got a bit older, and discovered if we peeled 'em and took them to Mom, she'd make deviled eggs.
ok now I'm hungry. and I know where all the pounds that Cindy's lost went.
