Head lights dimmer switches on the floor.

once, in I.F. ID, we had to move suddenly to temp living quarters. A neighbor let us use her recently deceased mom's house a few blocks away. for a washer, an electric wringer wash tub in the basement. and BOY could that thing clean the dickens out of cloth diapers! you could stop the tub (turn it off) and check to see if the clothes were clean enough. Man or man, I'd give $$ to get one of those back again. then I could really get the garden dirt outta my jeans. but the rinse cycle was ME wringing things two or three times.
OK - I hit 20 of em. and I liked the Coke bottles, Coke bottle candy and candy ciggies!
hmmmmmm best not to talk about those drive ins.......^_^
good day - still dizzies, but staying in the background. Haven't tried to do much today. Randall could not get the brand new mower started, neither could the neighbor who fixes mowers for a living. He said "take it back to HD, see what they can do" so we did. while there, Randall wanted a new weedwacker, so I picked out a bushhog from Black&Decker, electric. I give up with him getting gas motors going.
ENCIS meeting went well. Agreed to be the newletter editor. might as well, I'm already writing for Anita on the Newscast. had a program about TBs and the 2008 conference in Austin.
I think I'm going to plant Cannas behind the waterfall. And I've ordered 3 Basjoo Musa Banana Trees and I'll plant them down there. We don't have the seating /court yard started yet down there but hopefully by the end of summer it will be done.
Hello sistahs. Oh My Gosh! I realized I'm not older than dirt! I'm older than than the rock under the dirt! I remember telephones that you had to hold the receiver in one hand, crank the handle for the operator, and talk into the mouthpiece and ask for the number to be connected and the numbers all started with letters of the alphabet! My gosh I AM SO OLD!
I've played the 78's on the old crank victrola, and when your needle broke, you made a new one out of a straight pin!
But how I would love to go back to those days and know what I know now. wouldn't we all?
Well, ladies, my sons are putting up my pool. Three of the five worked all day today and well into dark last night getting the site ready. I was able to get an 18' x 34' doughboy pool and deck for the grandkids. All it cost was taking it down. We got it down, and I had to buy a new liner, but the liner sits in the box in the shed until the pool gets up. We are almost ready for it. I'll post one pic of the 'almost' up pool and then one of three of the reasons why I'm putting it up. The grandkids are so excited about it. I'm glad. I could NEVER afford to purchase one this size, so this is a great thing.
We are all beat though, it is a big job to sit this up. We all have had our showers, and dinner, and we are ready for bed. Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing.
Ladies you are in my thoughts and special prayers tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day for all. Pics to follow and good night and God bless and keep you all safe.
By the way, that is my second oldest son inside the pool area.
Now I know I want to come visit you Marilyn........LOL.
Those are some handsome boys.......look at those eyes, just love them!
They have the longest lashes for boys. All my kids did, do not know how they managed that, mine are not like that. Girls would kill for those lashes. lol
Synda, you are welcome anytime. My girlfriends are already making plans for this pool lol
In the first pic, you can't see my youngest, (poor thing he is the shortest, and I mean short) but his personality is huge! to the right is my fourth oldest, Dale.
I will try to find a pic of all five of my boys. They are a handsome bunch when you can get them all together. lol since 1995, we have ALL been together in one place three times. It's hard to do when we are so far apart and you have in-laws that want time too. will look for their pic, will have to scan, but won't take long. brb
Here is the last time we were all together at once. Scott, the bald one, had just come home from Germany, he was an MP over there for two years, we've added two more grandchildren since then.
I have Brian, David, Scott, Dale and Marcus. 37, 35, 33, 28, 23 years of age. I'm proud of my sons. lol, arent' we all?
my oldest is a plant manager for a huge papercompany, my second oldest is manager of a huge plant nursery, the third is partime guard helicopter mechanic, (posted it wrong the other night, said he graduated as a pilot, didn't catch that until I was rereading all the posts) and he is a game warden in Missouri, the fourth and fifth are full time fire prevention fellas.
All really cute guys.....where were you when I was single. But I'd really like to get to know David(Plant Nursery Manager).......LOL.
WAIT!! Are those test patterns the ones where there were all of these colors on the screen with that ever so pleasant high pitched sound? If so I remember those, and there were 13 channels, Channel 2 thru 14 and the tv had a dial you turned to change the channel.
I'm surprised they didn't mention 8 track tapes, still have a couple of those but my player took a hike.
Anyway, I'm trying to calm down. Just got my mom off the phone and OMG Poor mom, she's such a worry wart. She has a 2006 fully loaded Ford Escape All Wheel Drive that has 65,000 miles on it and she's almost in tears over having the money to fix it "If" it breaks. Who said it was going to break, they have 3 cars plus a motor home. Her nerve specialist who did her surgery 3 1/2 months ago gave her a firm diagnosis on why she has part of her pain. That scares her because no one has ever said that before. I reminded her that technology has changed over the past 20 years, she said that has nothing to do with it, there's no way he can research information like that, and she's going to her chiropractor for a better diagnosis because he's felt her nerves (never mind her nerve issues are on a complete different part of her body, and a chiropractor can't adjust there.) I told her that a chiropractor adjusts the tendons and vertebrae that are "out." She said she knows that but Her chiropractor is a Chiropractic Physician. So? The nerve specialist went in and did 4 1/2 hours of reconstructive work on her. Now her chiropractor is going to know more about her nerves than the nerve specialist will? Ye yey yey She gets so shaken up about it she goes loony. And he might not have diagnosed it right, but give the guy a chance, a chiropractor isn't going to be able to diagnose that simply because they don't look at that part of the body.
Ha! Your two oldest are my age! Very nice looking group of boys there. I'm noticing Nascar fan, plant nursery manager, paper plant manager... hhhmmmm
Synda... OH PLEASE let me send you some cannas for that pond... I have the Giant Reds, and the Richard Wallace... would be a perfect backdrop for your fountain.
Girls... those that wanted some of my "weeds" before I pull them all up... it's not the Aftrican Daisey that's spreading so prolifically, it's the Mexican Petunia that's going wild. Still want some? I got some of the weeds out of that bed today, and actually almost pulled some of them up.
Bonnie... I'll have that sedum in the mail to you on Monday... sorry it's taking me so long.
Jaye... I'll have that phlox to you too this Monday.
Let me see... is there anyone else I promised plants to?
OH BJ that is so nice of you.....I just got my order from the Co-op and I went totally CRAZY and bought 50.......LOL.
Synda, that pond is looking real nice. Can't wait to see some of Bj's canna's around it!
crissy, so sorry to hear you have so many problems with your Mom. Sending hugs and prayers to you both!
Good night everyone. As my grandson just told my Dad, sleep tight, don't let the bugs out! LOL
This is Rory, my youngest grandson, they got a delayed Easter basket, and this is whats left of the chocolate bunny!
LK
Well, dear Synda... I won't send you 50... but I'll send you some.
Ain't that sweet ,gooey hands ,don't ya just the little ones in life.
Night Linda Kay.
Thank You......LOL.
In the first picture you can see some of the rocks Rick brought in with the Bobcat.......LOL.
Thank you LK, that's what we both need, badly.
Night night ya'll!
Synda, NASCAR fan! Honey that boy has a room dedicated to Sr. and JR. four walls of shelves from ceiling to floor, boxes under counters never put out, no room for more. He's even got a tire! why would you want a tire? You want to see some serious race fans, heres' a pic of them at Darlington, they called me and asked me to check the radar, I said race is going to be cancelled. they said it's not raining now, I said, but radar says you are going to get pounded. one tent had three inches of water in it, lol
here they are.
That pic was of Dale and Marcus. David is the Nascar junkie. lol, they are all fans though.
I have got to get myself to bed, don't know how I am still going. will bid you all a good night. rest well all.
Night Sweetie ,Pleasant Dreams.........
Good night everyone!!!
Good night all.....sleep well.
Crashed when I got home, feet swell up from too much walking.. or is it too much sodium.. was overly thirsty too today, though my bl/glucose reading was normal.
Having a brain freeze too.. so, I'll see you all in the morning.
Good night all... sleep well.
