anybody want any blackberry lillies? (not a lilly) D-mail if i should dig any.....
anyone need any snowdrops?
if you're not familiar with winter jasmine, I recommend having me dig some: it doesn't have any fragrance, but in a south facing spot will bloom much earlier than forsythia, and the stems stay green all year....
Also, I have a delicate (subtle) woodland plant that I think MIGHT be an orchid (though the leaf veins are both veined so maybe it isn't even a monocot)? It forms clumps, sends spires up 1.5 feet with small white flowers.....some serious gardeners lived here before me.

I may have some blush (pale pink) rose campion. (misdelivered mail order, don't know if they want me to return or not yet).
what's an MG? marigold???

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

MG Morning Glories.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Oops my bad....shouldn't be so lazy and should spell things out.

FYI I've added:
Canna x generalis 'President' - 1 - 2 tubers to the Canna x generalis 'Wyoming' & * Canna x generalis 'Black Knight' on my list.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Midrashist, I would like to try one of those woodland Orchids. Do you think it's an Epimedium?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I added 2 haves to my list...
2 Cornflowers
Iris- I think they are siberian purple.

Jill- would like a chocolate mint

And I thought someone had creeping jenny, I can't find who????? I'd like some whoever it was.

Middle of, VA(Zone 7a)

Knew I had a not so great pic of the pigs ear some place

Flowerjen - could I have a cornflower please? ^_^

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Sure, Bec.

Sequim, WA(Zone 8a)

Ok, have gone through everyone's lists and here is what I would like if possible:

Holly - sweet potato - any annuals you might have left over
Gita - curly spider plant
RRR - lilac
Nisi - any annuals left over

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Jen, Ruby had creeping thyme, I don't think there was any jenney.

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

....creeping jenny is a rampant ground cover weed and will take over your yard - you can never get rid of it....just beware :0....we have it all over the place if you actually want some.

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

Maybe what we have isn't creeping Jenny after all. I always thought that is what it was; ours has small purple blooms and doesn't look like this plant files pic http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/677/

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

Maybe you have Creeping Charlie?:

Claypa, That bed is looking wonderful!!!

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks! I'm afraid one end is getting crowded. I should've done more dividing earlier this spring.

This Pieris 'Mountain Fire' took a real beating this winter, but it's bouncing back. I planted a few shrubs in November, and then we got teens and twenty degree temperatures with fifty mile-an-hour winds.

edit: sorry, I thought this was a spring peaking thread

claypa, that's it!!! creeping charlie....I knew it was creeping 'something'! I couldn't understand why anyone would want to plant it; now it makes sense :)

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Wind, I spend hours every week weeding that stuff!!!! My neighbor's lawn is virtually covered in it.

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

Wind, One man's weed is another man's flower. That's how some yards got in the mess they are in. I have a stand of False Bamboo, been fighting it for 37 years, can't get rid of it. I was just sick when I spotted it being sold in a nursery! The only thing I like about it is when you burn the dried stocks it makes a loud pop. Fun in the camp fire.

I got some digging done yesterday for the swap. I have this plant that is in the Centaurea family, lost the name, blooms in late spring/ early summer, blue flowers. I'll have a few of those to bring. Bec_No_Va you may be interested in that one.

Right now my main goal is to fill the promised plants and then start digging up the extras.

Holly, I'll take some OSP, mine are having a hard time this season. I think you have a different verity then mine anyways.

My OSP are pitiful this year, might have a few. Spidermites!.

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

Spidermites did in my Tri-color, then I had some starts on my light green one and Mary Chris decided to make a salad out of them. Thought I had her blocked from getting to them but she found a way. Chewed off every leaf.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Nisi--The Gomphrena "fireworks" looks neat! I can see how it got named that way....
Very pretty!
I'd like a couple if you have some available...

Thanks, Gita

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Claypa-I 'd like a variegated hosta, please.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Found it!
Roses R red, can I have some creeping jenny please?

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi Holly and Flowerjen,

I am trying to untangle my creeping jenny from another ground cover that got mixed in with it.

I have 2 potted up and will try to get more..

Teri

Bordentown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Dear Roses_R_Red:

If possible, could you please dig up a couple of creeping jenny plants for me? Isn't it used as a cascading plant in pots and baskets?

This image is not mine; it is from sideplanting.com

Edited to say this is not a good picture, but that's supposed to be creeping jenny hanging from the bottom. I am a newbie at posting images. Kat posted the earlier one of gomphrena.

Nisi - if you want I can dig some up for you, I have been trying to eradicate some in my backyard :)

Crozet, VA

Gosh, it takes a very good functioning brain to keep up with offerings and desires for the swap. I cannot always claim a good funtioning one myself. I just found a note that I should have posted here earlier this week. There is a possibility that I did already post it too. Can't be for sure and am not going back to see.

I will start with Gita. Gita, I saw your request for the Bee Balm and will be bringing some for you. I am hoping that I am not too late to request a purple Datura from you. They seem to be very pretty flowers.

Nisi, I am hoping that I can get some snapdragons from you if you still have any. A Roma tomato sounds great too.

Both Flowerjen and Chantell asked about splitting Monarda. I am not sure what you are asking but will tell you about my experience with it. I certainly haven't done any splitting because somehow the one healthy plant that I had last year reproduced to the sound of about fifty plants. I also found another very large pot of it this week. I do not remember planting any of it. I do know for years I tried growing it and could never get it going. Last year when one plant popped up, I have since then had them growing everywhere. LOL

Flowerjen - I found my list of Day Lilies we have to offer. We have: Mary Todd, Marionette, Happy Returns, Best Beau, Ruffled Apricot and Susie Wong. Let me know if you would like any of these.

Ladygardener, you have convinced me that I need another blue flower in my garden. If you have enough, I would like to have some of the Centaurea. I had to laugh at myself yesterday while playing with my seeds. My seeds desperately need a better system going. I found a package of Black Barlow Columbine with your name on it. I must have gotten it together and then never mailed it out. Would you still like to have them? They must be a couple of years old, because on the note I had misspelled Columbine.

I am also going to offer some new things that I wasn't aware of having a few weeks back when I posted what we had available. If anyone wants any, let me know and I will add it to your list. I am now being overrun with Sweet Woodruff and Burro's tail. I think someone told me this ground cover is called Burro's Tail. Can't say for sure. It is pretty and grows like a weed. I have had great success with the Sweet Woodruff too. It is in bloom now with tiny white flowers and is really eye catching.

This seems to be all for now. You folks have a great weekend.

Ruby

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

After I asked the monarda question I did go out and see that mine had spread so was about to dig them out, very easy to do.

Ruby, I would love Best Beau and Ruffled Apricot, just ignore my ?'s on the other thread about colors.
Thanks!

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

Ruby, some of the Centaurea is your's maybe all of what I bring if no one else wants it. I find it to be a well behaved plant, not reseeding everywhere you look, like some plants I have.
I'll take the seeds that you put aside for me, I'll just sprinkle them with all the other Columbines and see what happens. I'll just feel like Mother Nature dancing thru the garden sprinkling seeds here and there. LOL

Odenton, MD(Zone 7b)

Rubyw, I would like some of the sweet woodruff and the burro's tail if possible. Thanks Robin

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Ruby,

I already have you down for my Purple Datura......

As far as the Monarda--and you being surprised how quickly it multiplied--Monarda is a member of the Mint family--and I know that YOU know how mint can spread!

Q.--Do you know how to tell ANY plant in the Mint Family??????
A.--All plants in the Mint Family have square stems....4-sided....just go take a look!

See you at Holly's! Gita

Crozet, VA

Alrighty, I have in orders for Ruffled Apricot and Best Beau for Flowerjen and Sweet Woodruff and Burro's Tail for Catbird. Good choices, ladies.

Chris, during the rain this week I have been trying to set up a better system for all the seeds that I have that seem to multiply daily. I have a lot of no names, no idea what they are that I am planning on doing a garden fairy dance with too. Gonna just strew them around in an area where a large shrub came out of last year. I will take pictures of mine, if you take them of your results too. But, it may be Christmas time before I get the pictures posted. For some reason I have developed a hatred for posting pics. I did take pictures of the Petunia's that you and I discussed and will post them for you one of these days.

Gita, you are just full of all sorts of plant knowledge. Nope, I didn't know that Monarda was in the Mint Family, and I didn't know how a plant was identified as being in the Mint family either. Thank you so much for sharing. I will have something new to share with John when we talk plants later on.

I have finally been able to spend some time outdoors today doing gardening chores. I feel as though I had a very productive day, even though there is still some clean up to do, I knocked out the largest part of it today. Between aching legs and rain, I have been very frustrated about wanting to garden.

Everyone have a good evening and a great weekend.

Ruy

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Ruby, If there is anymore available, I would love some of your Sweet Woodruff. Thanks!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Cleaned up my "Haves" list a bit...removed some things that have not "materialized"....

Is there anyone that really wants some of my regulat, variegated spider plants? If not--I'll just bring a few..Will bring the curly ones....
Same question re the Rose Souvelons Brug cuttings....I have a lot! There are 2 "Maya" cuttings also.

Getting close now........Looking forward to it!

Gita

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Gita, I would love a Brug cutting, please.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

OKee Dokee, Holly!
