Let’s Swap some plants! II Ric & Holly’s

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Stormy,

I would love one each color of your yarrow. Red--Pink--Yellow...
Always trying to find something that will grow in my "YUK" bed....the one with all the maple roots in it....Dry!....

I seeded a mix of Yarrows--and only 3 have come up--they are still microscopic and I have no idea which colors they will be. My cousin sent me the seeds from Latvia......

Thanks! Gita

Also--I will have some tomatoes to share---Not sure yet how many. have to give the ones I have promised to people at work first--especially my Manager!

Also--Purple Daturas.....maybe some yellows too???

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Stormyla, I would love to have Arum Italicum,Artemisia-Silver King, Stokesia Alba, Monarda - Fuschia and a Yarrow.
I have Peppers, Basil and White and Yellow Violets, check out my haves list to see if there is anything else you would like.

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Stormy, I would love to have a quince and a rugosa rose if no one has claimed them. I have hot and sweet peppers. I have a couple of types of cucumbers, too, but they're still tiny.

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

Ladygardener1, I'll put you down for one of each type of Hellebore. I've got a virtual farm.

Near Lake Erie, NW, PA(Zone 5a)

Thanks,Miatablu. Can't wait to try them, I have a good spot to baby them till they are ready to set out in the garden. I do that with some of my shrubs I buy from Bluestone since they are small starting out. Some plants just need extra TLC for a year or two.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

I added some of my rooted "Rose Souvelons" Brug cuttings to my list.

Still have to see what seedlings I have too much of....everything is SOOO small this year!!!

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

I added to my list Bridal Wreath Spirea unrooted cuttings. Also in the garden today I found 3 or 4 good sized Lavender/Deep Rose colored mini Rose of Sharons. They range from 8" to 24". Does anyone want some?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Catching up...

Stormy, I think I've got you on everything except red salvia. From your list, I'd love to try Clethra, Aster (lavender), Artemisia 'Silver King', Yarrow (pink), and Arum Italicum. Thanks!

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

Have added to my list to dig upon request.

Virginia Spiderwort ‘Concord Grape’ http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53616/
Toad Lily Tricyrtis 'Sinonome' http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/81021/index.html

Critter, my potted Mint didn't come back this year, so can I get some Chocolate Mint from you?

Kubiley, if your Elephant Ears aren't Illustris, then I'd like one. I may have some Illustris to bring, but I'm battling aphids periodically and don't want to promise any yet.

Crozet, VA

Hello again pals - I just found a few things here that I would like to request.

Stormy - I would love to have a Peach Leaf Bellflower, the NOID Cream and purple eye Day Lily, a Rooma tomato and some of your Lavender. All of these of course are requested only if you have enough to share still.

Gita, I would like to try a purple Datura. I am getting a yellow one from Sally.

Thanks everyone.

miatablu--as I have the palm for you I'd like to request a little piece of Spiderwort. Any one would do if you have plain old wild ones they're fine. Guess I could put that as a Want, maybe somebody else has spiderwort too.

Brunswick, MD(Zone 6b)

I'll mark it down Sally. If my other types do well enough, I might be able to get a little off of them too.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Miata, I figure I'll bring some big bags of mint to the swap.. and if I run short, you can pull as much as you want before you head home at the end of the day!

Mount Laurel, NJ(Zone 7a)

....would you believe I just purchased a pot of chocolate mint today :0 I better refrain from picking up things here and there until after our visit :) We used to have choc. mint and I didn't recall seeing it lately, so when I saw it today, I bought a pot.

I didn't get to plant any plum tomatoes or banana peppers this year. Does anyone have any extras of those?

We have ferns I can dig up, if anyone wants a fern or two. They do spread, I'm not 100% sure of the ID, they look like cinnamon ferns to me. We have them growing in a part sun/shade spot that is not moist by any means, rather dry actually (under a tree) and they do fine.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

I have called a number of places in my area with no luck. If anyone sees some Pineapple Sage for sale in their travels, could someone buy two and bring them to the swap and I will reimburse you. If you believe that one.....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

too bad the well sweep open house is in June... they have nice sage plants... maybe we can meet 1/2 way after that Stormy

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Onewish, I'll keep it in mind.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Stormy,

I would appreciate some of your:

Bridal Wreath Spirea unrooted cuttings

If there are still some left. You also probably have some really good tips on the best way to root them which would also be very much appreciated.

Thanks AGAIN

This is such a great group. I am wishing that we could all get together again in June to swap or just have a cook-out and enjoy just hanging out or seeing all the wonderful sights here.

It seems that we might be halfway between Holly's and the New Jersey people and almost the same distance as to Holly's for the remainder of the folks. I am suggesting this now so that I can keep a June weekend open. There are plenty of camping grounds nearby and we can see about how much room we have on our property for RV's and tents.

Just throwing this out to get a feel for who would be interested.

Gotcha covered Roses. No, I don't have any experience in rooting the cuttings. I'm sure if you ask on the chat thread, someone will help. You should probably ask about another meet there too.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice RRR... I would come!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I have 2 happenings in June so far so depends on the date, but sounds good, roses.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

R_R_R, I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there that couldn't make my Swap date and that would give them another option. Not to mention that Swaps are great fun and many will come to another swap at the drop of a hat. Me included. Pick a date that will work for you and let us know.

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)
