Afternoon girls

well just got home form the dentist and having some teeth pulled and sent hubby of to walley world to get pain med filled and Trish the box of Cedric stuff mailed off to you too.

now as I said I would pop in and tel ya bout the trip back north for the wedding of the step nephew
well we are not doin that for the other boy will only go up for my nieces

mom informed me after we got there that my brother probably would not be making it down for my daughters wedding since he cant put in for time off months in advance firemen can only do so closer to time and other will do it first as it will be vacation time before school starts so not to plan on him and the wife coming....and of course this is the SIL that none of my children care for nor do DH and I and my 2 nieces tolerate her only when they have to.
when we got to the church all the groomsmen, ushers and groom and best man (who is only 20) were out side at a truck all drinking up the beer they had in the back of it. so it was no surprise that the ushers looked half there.
SIL only spoke twice to us once was hi nice dress and second was when we went to leave to say thanks for coming then turned and went off
as for my brother ...well I didn't go outside to blow bubbles I opened the lil bottle and blew maybe 2 bubbles and only one hit him in which he pulled a knife out of his pocket flipped it open and pointed it at me and made some threatening comment ......geez grow up that is not funny..rather rude I thought
then at the reception he stood behind me waiting for the chance to smack me int eh back of the head while I was eating a piece of cake ...which I knew he was there and what was up so I took my time and when he saw it finally he smacked me but the fork was already in my mouth..another childish move and of course when I tried taking some pictures and one of him he of course flipped me off
neither one of the boys ever said Hi and the groom all he could say when they dismissed the pews was oh you made it..never even tried to introduce us as family to the new wife.

Sooooooo only time I will go back up is to visit my folks and friends and my 2 nieces regardless of what my mother says I am done with the mind games and childish behavior

other then that we had a good visit with my 2 nieces which are in my daughters wedding in September

now of to take some meds for the pain so when the Novocaine wears off I am ready LOL

I'm here, LK... just not enough time today to do much visiting... I did dmail you a question, got the answer, and went on about the day.
Don's home... and I had a "To Do" list for him on the fridge... had 5 things listed on it, and two of them got done today... one of them was to fix the bathroom faucet... took up most of the day, and required 4 hands to get it done... ended up having to take the sink out of the vanity to fix it... so, Kristi is now BARRED from using our bathroom to primp... she is so accident prone.
He's taking a nap now... and I get a break. But, I have to go pack him for his flight this afternoon... so I don't have long.

It's been so cloudy and gray all day... but the sun just came peeking through all the clouds, and bathing the lawn in some .... oops... now it's gone... never mind.

Mike has a track meet this afternoon, but I don't think I'm going to it. Actually, I don't think he wants me to go to it... We never really discussed it, but when he left this morning, he told me he'd call me when they leave the school that it's being held at so I know when to pick him up.

School's out Fri and Monday... Easter Break... Kristi was suppose to come stay the weekend with me, color eggs, and we were going to have an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday with her parents here at my house. Well, Kristi wanted to bring a friend, much older than herself, and wondered if I'd mind. So, I call my DIL and asked about this girl, and find out that she's 4 years older than Kristi, very controlled by her parents, and seems to be ok. Come to find out, Kristi just wanted her to come because she's old enough to drive a jet ski by herself without an adult on it with her. So, I told Kristi that I didn't think it was a good idea to bring her friend since it's a family affair, and because it's still too cold to play on the water with the jet skis. So, Kristi tells me, In that case, she's not coming... she's going to hang out this weekend with her friend.

Hmmmm... something sounds real fishy to me. Kristi has been known to be very sneaky when it comes to things like this.

Since Amanda (Oldest G'daughter) isn't available on Sun, and I won't change my plans to celebrate Easter on Sat because it conflicts with Don's schedule... SON and DIL don't want to come at all now.

BJ, get some hard candies to suck on when you get the urge! They do help a little bit.

Sistahs, my Easter weekend has been 'forced' on us. That favorite son decided to come down with his wife, and cook at MIL. You can imagine how we felt. Our original plans were to take Kel's parents out to eat..
To avoid unnecessary drama, we'll begrudgingly eat sugary honey baked ham and do the smilies for a couple of hours and think of MAY at BJ's!!!
Worked a bit more in the garden. Yay.. my bananas are sprouting!!
Gonna take a shower in a bit, and fish is ready. Hope Kel will do take out for himself.

If I were a better woman, I'd avoid the unnecessary family drama too and just have Easter on Saturday without Don... but I'm not... and I'd rather accommodate the one that arranges his life around me... so, there.

LK... the lozenges are suppose to do that for me... keeps my mouth busy like hard candy is suppose to do. So, I just popped a lozenge instead of light up... but thanks... I really don't want to end up needing diet pills after all this is over.

BJ, hard candy 's what got me started gaining! When I started trying to quit, I weighed about 125! Look at me now!

Susan, that is so sweet of you ^_^ TY. Boy it sure is hard to do things without moving my thumb, or bend my wrist. Hope this does the trick.

BJ, when I quit smoking I sucked on menthol cough drops and still do. They help curb the appetite.

Mine was Tic Tacs....not a lot of calories even if I ended up eating the whole container.....

Thanks, Cindy... That's the original attempt of trying to landscape the lower level after that beautiful expensive wall was built... it's so tacky, and really makes the wall look bad.
The tropical garden is really desperate... and I truly don't know what I'm doing down there.

I was hoping that next year someone else might host the get together... so we can get to see someone else's place. But, I'll think about it.

Well that would work too, just so long as I have a second chance at meeting everyone. If we had our property that we keep dreaming about I would host one.

It's bad .. so many homes burned (40-50 homes in Midwest City so far) and none of the fires under control yet :( One firefighter with major burns because the winds are moving so fast and the truck was surrounded by fire before he could get out. He's at the hospital, but no word yet on how bad..they just keep saying major burns.

The closest fire is about 10 miles from me.. the wind is supposed to be changing direction and that's what they're worried about now. Lots of areas being evacuated.

And the East side of the state under a tornado watch!

One of my Cousin's is close to Mid West City......I'm not sure where in the area her kids and grandkids live....can't believe we talked to her brother in Shawnee, and my Aunt in Marietta and neither of them mentioned the fires!!!.......One more thing to worry about...

Midwest City is pretty spread out, so hopefully your cousin isn't being affected by this. Peg (Merpeg) is in Midwest City and it's no where close to her.
A lot of the fires in MWC aren't under control, but are being monitored. The wind has died down some and that's helping. They're saying that there are some flare ups but they seem to be getting further apart and that's good. The wind has also finally shifted, so the fire chiefs are getting ready to go into the air for a high up view to get an idea of what the fires are doing with that shift in the wind.
The main fires are actually in an area that has a lot of wooded areas to it and it's the subdivisions in some of that area that have been evacuated. They're now saying about 100 structures in the state have burned. (I wonder if they're including barns, storage bins, etc in that number or just houses? We probably won't know till tomorrow.)
I'll keep your cousin in my prayers..
