It has been a rough day today....I don't want to think about tomorrow.....#1 I am out of my meds right now until our insurance kicks in......#2 we stopped out at the hospital today to see my BIL....I left in tears....I don't know if I can spend the day there tomorrow....Peter is on a ventilator, and all kinds of tubes....a broken nose in addition to all the other breaks, so bruised up...it hurts so much when he tries to talk and can't....he didn't want us to leave. I have worked in the hospital before and I deal well with things when I don't know the people....but when it is one of my own, I don't too well.....add no medication on top of that....I know Jackie is having some of the same issues....not sure how good we will be for each other tomorrow....

Its been crazy here.. to say the least..

I have most everything packed up and will be finishing up this afternoon with Tristens disaster of a closet. The water heater pipe busted yesterday while max was at work and I had water all over the laundry room floor. He came home and fixed the pipe after work but now the water isnt heating at all. I think the elements got wet and are out now too.. Uggghh just one more thing wrong with this darn house..

This weekend I had a few friends come over and we had plant digging parties and things are clearing out fast. Its so disheartening seeing my beds so baren after all the work we put into building them. My mom brought us more boxes and space bags as well as a new wrm comforter set for once we get home with all the trimmings all packed up in a space bag.. I also may have the ac unit sold but wont know for sure until this upcomming weekend.

Maxs mom, dad, 12 year old brother and 18 year old sister will be here late friday night or early saturday morning. They are headed down to Disney for his sisters senoir band trip and will be staying here a day or two before they go on down.. I just hop ethey leave out before easter morning as they dont celebrate and I have told his mom before, I respect that they dont but we do and I wouldnt feel right leaving baskets for our kids and not giving Darla or Nathaniel anything. Im bad I know but same goes for Christmas once we are home.. If they come over the decorations will be up for every holiday just like they would be if we were here. My mom is comming up to meet them for the first time as well..

Maxs work is treating him really badly right now and working him like a dog. Hes so fed up he said he almost called me to come and get him yesterday on teh way home from the vets office with Bella. He said he was watching but didnt see me drive through so he stuck it out but boy o boy was he in a foul mood when he got home. He said we may head out earlier tan planned if they keep this up.. Of course thats ine with me as long as I can get all teh loose ends tied up this week as I had planned..

Grrr sorry Im rambling.. lol

My best friend (Jessie) up home is going through a rough time right now as well. Her husband told her last night it was over and he wanted a divorce after almost 7 years. He told his 5 year old daughter that he wasnt going to be her daddy anymore and he didnt ever wanna see her or her sisiters (twins 18 months old) ever again.. She called me in hysterics and was out driving around in circles in the middle of nowhere. I felt so bad and wanted to leave last night, I cant stand knowing she has no-one to turn to in her time of need. Th egirls were so upset and I had to get her to pull off the road to calm down. She was headed to get a room last night and headed to the bank this morning to pull everything she can out of savings. Waiting to hear from her this morning still but she essaged me and said she was okay and would call shortly..

OMG, Someone want to tell me what my problem is??

For the last couple of weeks I just can't sleep! Thought my regular sleeping was back from transistion of being home...
Then bam all the sudden, I go to bed by 10:30 only to sleep a couple of hours, like a nap and then first tiniest noise I am up! and I mean up like to 3in the morning, toss and turn then it's time to wake by 7:00 to get kids to slchool. It's just so weird, and agrevating too.

Anyhow, Hope you all have great day. Snow's gone again and still too cold to plant. so Guess I will just have to go shopping for my windchime buddie, lol.

BJ - my quit date was March 26. I'm on day twelve and went cold turkey. After 50 years of the d>>> things, it is not easy. I hate to say it but money was the thing that got me to quit. Not that I have bad health or that that they are not good for people around me - but D>>> money!!!!! I'm ashamed of myself for that but at least it's finally happening. Judy... can't talk about it here... It's very political, and controversial, and I'll get in too much trouble from DG if I talk about it here. Let's just say that I'm protesting some decisions that were made. And, I have a feeling that I'm not alone... judging from some comments on some other sites I've been reading.
If anyone wants to make any money on the stock market... invest in "stop smoking aids"... they're flying off the shelf.

Donna... sorry, but I have a strong opinion about your dilemma about the Easter celebrations while your in laws are there. CELEBRATE sistah... don't change your normal way of doing things for those who don't celebrate Easter. Tristen and Tony should have their Easter Baskets on Easter Morning... regardless of who's there...
Should the 12 year old and 18 year old feel left out, then they need to take that up with their own parents.

Morning all. First, I am sending huge hugs to all those who need them---BJ, Barb, Donna, Trisha and all those I might have missed!!!! I am here also-just remember that. Bit chilly this morning and after having been where it only got to 69 for a few night--was a shock to go out to get my paper.

Jaye, your beautiful card was in my mail when I got it this morning. Thank you and Kel so much--what did I ever do to deserve such wonderful people as this group in my life? I will just say a prayer of thank you!!

Guess we will be going to an Easter gathering this Saturday. Ross' very best friend all through college and ever since lives near and is having a get together. This should be fun with the girls attending. Other than Saturday, we are planning on a quiet day, baking a ham and coconut cake. Have to have coconut cake as that has been a tradition since I was a small child. My grandfather insisted there be one every Easter.

Deborah, I agree with BJ, put Riley down long enough to say hello! However, if you just want to sit and rock and smile, I will understand. Best feeling in the world!!!

LK... it's not the price of cigs that anger me... and, it's not so much the tax imposed by the govt... although 300% tax rate on them is a bit extreme, IMHO... MAN, this censorship is hard... so, I can't say more... got to get up from here before I get in trouble.

Mornin' Marion... I covered everything yesterday in prep for a hard freeze last night... didn't happen... so, now I have to go out and uncover it all before all this sunshine cooks them.

Jaye, TY for the sweet Easter card. I told Rick and my mom that I was NOT making any plans for Easter. We usually go to DD's MIL for BBQ, but with Eileen (DD"S MIL) having cancer and starting her chemo tomarrow I don't think that will be happening. Plus Rick's stepdaughter said she was coming to spend the weekend with us. UGH :(.

I spent all day yesterday cleaning up the old dog yard and turned it into my gardening area. i worked from about 9 am to about 5:30. When I went to bed I passed out, lol. It was suppose to start raining this am and suppose to on and off for 4 days. So far it is a little breezy and in the high 60's. I want to be outside but I need to get these geeky birds made for the bowling banquet which is the 28th. So I will be inside for the next few days.

This is going to where I will keep my Brugs until they get bigger. Inside the container is brugs, passis and tomatoes. To the right is the back of the hot tub. So come next winter I will enclose that little corner and some how have the hot tub keep the warmth around my plants. This is still churning in my head.

This side of the house gets sun all day long so this is where I'm going to have my veggie garden. Back by the stairs in the corner I will be putting a 100 gallon water trough with my fish in it. They are at my mom's right now. I must have over 150 gold fish and they are laying eggs now. Underneath the awnings it stays shady all day except for early am, so I'm thinking I will be able to put some Brugs there.

Hope everyone enjoys their day today.My baby comes home today until Thursday then he goes back to visit his dads again.I will get him for a half of day for Easter.So the only time i will get on is when he goes to bed at night.So every one have a great day.I know i will once i get a big hug from my baby.Until then later gator.

Bj good for you on quitting and Im with you on the unspeakable as well but thats all I will say.. I attempted to quit and did well for a few days and then fell right back into smoking again but I have cut way back in comaprison to how much I was smoking before.

I think I have decided that I will put the baskets out even if the MIL is here. She might as well get used to the fact her son and his family celebrate even if she doesnt.

Cindy it look slike you have your work cut out for you but I know it will be beautiful when you are done.. I will be watching for picture updates..

Well Tristens room is done other than her barbies and ponies that I left out for playing along with all the legos.. The closet system is don and I stacked one side full of boxes out of the livng room. The boxes and totes sitting everywhere was making me crazy and there are still a bunch on one wall but at least i can get to my dvd shelves again.. Have found I absolutely love Space Bags.. They are saving me alot of room with getting things stashed away..

O I heard from my friend Jessie.. She stayed at a hotel last night and went home after he left for work. She says he left a note and called 57 times last night but she didnt answer after all he had put them through. Apparently the note says she can stay at the house and he will leave, he will pay child support and give her all of teh money from the sale after paying off teh mortgage but he still wants nothing more to do with her or the kids.. He is such an A********** and it makes me soo crazy I wish I was there.. But then again wit hmy temper probably a good thing Im not or I would be in big trouble. Max was so furious last night he couldnt even talk about it.. He knows Jess is like my sister and we have been friends since we were 5 years old nomatter how far apart we were.. I told her to get a good cry in before he gets home, take the kids to a sitter and get mad.. Its time she stands up for herself and makes him see he isnt going to get away with this as easy as he thinks he is.. Alomony and the whole nine yards..

Well I guess I better get back to work and start boiling some water as Im a bit stinky now from all the running.. LOL Darn water heater is toast so I will fill te ht ub a bit and then add boiled water so I can clean up or maybe run over to teh neighbors if I can get ahold of them on teh cell.. They gave me a key to the house but I wont go over unless they know before hand even though I was told I could anytime.. Just doesnt feel right being in someone elseshome without them knowing..

Donna, I felt the same way about my beds and I’m sure I had less there to begin with and less I took out.

How can a parent do that to their kids? It’s something I will never understand. If DH and I broke up, may this never happen, I’d still want visitation with Sage and she’s not “my” kid. I can’t imagine being a parent and not doing everything in my power to have visitation. Especially the mother; I accept that a father could have had no chance to bond, though I find this as distasteful as not wanting to see your kids.

Sage’s mom has gone through long periods without seeing her, though I will give her that she hasn’t missed a single supervised visitation, without fore warning, for over two years, and just has to get Mental and Drug treatment to gain unsupervised visitation. I’d do a lot more than that to be able to take my child (including Sage) to the park, lunch, or whatever and I’d do whatever it took to do it.

Though I suppose she could want the structured visitation so it doesn’t affect her life and she still gets to see her. Before we went for custody she’d have us watch Sage over night and then disappear for several days, or at least ask us to watch her one more day, several times in a row, and then show up out of no where and want her right this second. I think DSD’s mom loves her and means to do the best for her, but has “doll” syndrome.

Judy, sounds to me like you are insomnia cycling. Most people don’t know there are 3 types of insomnia. Type 1 is the standard, just can’t get to sleep, type two is when you can get to sleep, but wake up after a couple hours and are up for a couple hours and then crash and have to go back to sleep and type 3 is when you get to sleep fine and then wake up and can’t get back to sleep. If you don’t want to go to the doctor I’d try taking Benadryl Allergy or Tylenol PM (same medication), if this works, even a little, it’s likely insomnia, if it makes you drowsy the next day it likely isn’t insomnia. If it only works a little or not at all I’d go in and talk to a doctor, you might need prescription medication.

Barb, the money thing is what’s making me want to quit, but it’s hard when you don’t really want to quit smoking you just don’t want the side effects. Last time I tried a drug that blocked the nicotine getting into your system. It worked really well, but too many of my coping mechanisms are tied to smoking. I realized I should get a dog; a dog would serve a lot of the same needs I use cigarettes for. Unfortunately I’m allergic and rent.
