spent most of today in a fog. oh well. got some done.

yes, before anyone asks, I've already had my pm pill. and yes, I'm brain dead exhausted and can't sleep.

looked in a couple stores for the minerals, didn't find them but found one young pharmacy type gal that knew of them and couldn't figure out why she wasn't stocking them. will go check out those sites above in a second, and I'll call ahead and ask at Sams - there's one about 10-15 miles from here.

also looking for a "winged weeder" to save my back on the weeding. irisloverdee over in the iris forum swears by them.

trying to get my gardens ready, have a turkey in the house watching tv. most of the day, the hurricane sprained her wrist, went to west va.

Well Hello there Kathy It is great to see you are out there and that you are around You come back and I will have to go back to work. for the summer. I think that we will start around the 15 of April It will be good to get the House set up before I start back to work
I talked with my friend yesterday It was nice Maybe he will come down when I have to move he could help. I was moving some plants the other day and I didn't see a stick and I have tis cut on my noise and it still hurts hope its gone before I see him if I do. I have to drive to WI today and drop off some jackets other than that I have to wait to go to the other house to clean. Saturday we will have a walk threw and I am going to put some bug bombs in the rooms so than it will be settled before we come in to clean

Don had to take Mike to school early this morning for a UIL Journalism competition. It's pouring down rain, and I did not want to drive in this... So far, Mike has not done well in the competitions he's been involved in here in the US... his over all grades are far above most everyone in the school... but competitions are not his thing... say a little prayer for him today... He says that he's not trying to win... just there for the experience. But, I know how wonderful he'd feel if he would win just once.

Oh BJ, I so agree with you, it would be nice if he did place in some competition--think how happy he would be if he did. We are continuing to get the heavy rains and more predicted today through tonight. Serious flood warnings are all around us now. I don't think we are going to have to worry about the water table being low here now--then maybe we will. Who knows.

I haven't been around because I've been sewing and scrapbooking. My husband was gone to California for 3 weeks and I just did what ever I wanted to do. I eat when I wanted and slept when I wanted. It was fun for awhile but it was sure nice for him to come home.

For those Frog lovers Dollar General has some nice ones you can put in your garden.I bought this tall frog in texas at Dollar General to put in my beds when i'm done.I love to buy stuff like that from the dollar store.I will post all my goodys i bought when i gether them up.

Well my son and his wife are moved down to NC now on base housing... I will miss my GS... They are coming up here on Sat I think Matt said... This is for the better as they have been apart for to long and Matt would come home to them if he could on weekends.... Dan was taking care of her GM as she was very sick and she needed to do this for her as she raised her... So GM passed and it was time for Dan and Matt to be together.. So I am happy for that....
Kim I am so happy for you... You will love it... After money settles here I will start putting some away for a fly down next winter.... I will miss your old place... Hey I don't want to go in the basement ok????? No work today as boss had to go to a meeting so I am having a lazy day...
Oh Kim do you remember how fluffy Mikes cat was??? Well he is at my house more then his and I am tired of cleaning up all the hair he sheds so I took him to work yesterday and we gave him a hair cut...LOL He now has a fluffy tail and thats it....LOLOL Will try and post a picture later for you all to see... He is always spitting up hair balls and I give him stuff for this but now he won't have to worry about that....

Oh Jaye, I loved the turtle... When we went to Hawaii they had turtles like that and they get them from the ocean when they are hurt and make them well there and then return to the sea... Thank you so much for showing me it ^_^

Morning everyone, just heading out the door...it is one of those days....have to take DH to work so I can keep the car....Laura has one appointment at around eleven....then we pick Bill up for Lunch, get him back to work, then Laura has the appointment to get her MRI results....then pick Bill up to get for his Thursday Bike Ride....spin class is over, it is back on the bikes Outside now.....don't like the cold and wet, I am a fair weather rider. But it will be a fun day for me....I am taking the giant stack of polymer clay books with me, going through them and marking all the cool projects I want to try....there are soooo many of them!!

I think our Miss Jaye is sick,again. We need to gather her up and get her to where the weather is warmer. Right Jaye?

I use to only sleep 2-3 hours a night when I was younger but now that I am older I can't run on that.. I tried all types of over the counter meds... So now I take prescription meds to sleep. I hated to have to do that but was the only way so I settled my mine on it...
Oh I hope Jaye is not sick... Get better soon if you are sick...

OK you ladiess that are having sleeping problems have you tried like taking a nice warm Lavender scented bath an hour or two before bedtime? Sometimes a small glass of red wine will relax you too. If you aren't allergic to Lavender spray your sheets, pillows and blankets just before getting into bed. I keep a bottle on my night stand and if I didn't sleep good the night before then I spray on the next night and I sleep soundly for 5 hours then it's pottie time, but I go right back to sleep. I buy Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt soaking solution, sprinkle a goodly amount (it's says 2 cups, but that's way too much) and soak for a good 20 min. or so.

colloidal mineral complex, 1 qt $14.99, 2nd qt half price, and Vitamin Shoppe! but it says to take 1 to 2 Tbsp. with a meal. so I mixed it with ice water and a touch of pomegranate juice - yummy!

Oh Oh BJ - I meant to type this in the other night. Tell Mike to try this, I've been doing it for years and years, long before sports drinks got their fame. Tell him to mix the juice, at first half and half with water, then later he may find he mixes it with more water, like I do now. Love it on ice, too. The flavor of the juice won't change at all, although the texture does. He's probably more thirsty than anything else, and kids don't like the taste of water a lot of times. I like mine with a glass full of ice in the summer. in the winter, for juice like cranberry, sometimes I heat the water instead.

Mom was a soda fountain jerk at a five and dime in the late Depression. she's been mixing soda and water and juice and milk for years for us!

Got chased out of the aquatics pool early, so Randall and I headed to bank to get a copy of our truck purchase papers. Accountant says that since I'm now selling irises, and I use the truck to haul loads of sand, compost, manure, etc., my truck is tax deductible! hehehehe then to Vitamin Shoppe, then to Subway, for a "slenderizing" sub - - - - - - - - well, I can dream can't I?

thanks for all your nice thoughts and don't worry so about me. I just need to gripe, sometimes. insomnia is byproduct of irs stress (that's not done with yet) and menapause. have asked doc every time it comes back and he says the PM is safe to take and won't conflict with my prescriptions. it's just that 1/2 of one used to put me to sleep within 20 mins. and a whole one would keep me in bed 15 hrs. within the last 3 months, that has changed. As of February, I'm officially post menapausal.

Stress also acts on allergies like over loading a dumptruck. it unbalances any preventive regimen. Take Allegra or Allegra D now, have had others in past. been taking drugs or shots for allergies since I was 13. shots don't work well for me. we have hardwood floors and no curtains. I've got it covered as much as it can be.

when I was 13, the allergist told me the only kind of grass I WASN'T allergic to was "the kind you smoke" I had no idea what the man was talking about. My sensitivities have come and gone, too. At 13, was reactive to feathers and cats. now I live with 5 parakeets and down featherbed. Randall had cats when we met, I managed that. have had asthma since young. I have an inhaler.

Still very reactive to cigarette smoke, since age 4. of all things my son smokes! I can't hardly hug him.......and I live in THE tobacco state! oh gosh - I haven't called him yet. was waiting for 2pm. he works at night. it's his 27 birthday! time for eye appt. by gotta call my Danny boy!

Oh Thanks I wish it wood come soon I have so much cleaning to do and work should be starting very soon. I have been watching HGTV and I saw a neat way to paint you get a stencil like those Flux(SP) Deborah no's the word I hope but you put them on the wall and use a putty let it dry 20 minutes than paint. and it sticks out of the wall alittle bit it was pretty cool I only saw it for a minute so I hope that is how it go's

I got some bad news today about my Dad. His pulse was only 42 this afternoon, and the Dr, said his heart id failing. He may need a pacemaker, but Dad does not want to go through all that trouble, and pain. So I have talked to my Sister, and 2 brothers, and they all agree, they say, don't force him to do it, if he does not want it done.
So I just need prayers, if not for anything else, he just stays comfortable, and is in no pain please?

We are still going through with the Arizona trip, so I will say good night, and I will post again, sometime Tuesday afternoon, or evening when I get back home!

Ruth needed to do research, so we went down to DH Hill Library (NCStateU). While she looked up the Tang dynasty, I looked up info on what the eye doctor told me today. That didn't go so well. So went looking up irises. they have a whole shelf! [NCSU has a horticulture division] must join the Friends of the Library, for $85, to check them out. I can read them there for free, so I hope she needs to do lots of research! we were there 2 hours.

Good Evening Everyone!! I'm going to try to catch up in the morning but I've had a busy and funny day pissing off the other secretary. She's such a turd!

Here's what happened:

It was 11am and one of the girls asks me for the key to the storage room. Another girl standing behind my chair makes a joke and asks, "So why is it 11:00 and the storage room isn't open yet?" I said, making a joke back, "Because we're a bunch of lazy *&&^&." The other secretary spun around in her chair, glared at me and yelled, "Don't you call ME Lazy, I am NOT LAZY!!!" (as she's kicked back in her chair sending a text message over her cell phone.) I looked right at her and kept saying, "We, WE WE, not you, but WE!" She wouldn't talk or look at me all day. At around 4pm one of the girls asked her something and she snapped real loud, "NO ONE calls ME names!" The longer the day went on the harder it was to not crack up laughing and pointing my finger at her telling her what a turd she looks like. Good thing she can hardly walk because she needs knee surgery and she's my mom's age huh? LOL She's always told me she can beat me in a fight because I'm a drunk. Yea! The more she's mad, the less she'll talk, which makes me a very happy person! :)

eye doc reminded me I've got my dad's eyes. Since Paul went to same church and high school when I was a teen, it's fun going to him. but he was my parents' doctor too, and he keeps finding things wrong with me he's already treated with Dad. oyvay. he found "significant changes" since last visit. we discussed if insomnia is a cause. He says no, but it is exaserbating the problem.

editted to add, Trisha, if we hadn't eaten dinner yet, we would have stayed and stayed. her first time to see a real college library, and she was floored! But they keep changing where the front door is over the years. the last time I was there, the card catalogue was still there, too. it's not only gone, I needed a user ID and password!

This is Laura's description of a Bakers Cyst.....


Baker’s Cyst usually occurs due to some other problem in your knee such as arthritis or even a tear of your meniscus. The swelling from this problem causes fluid to build up in your knee. This fluid pushes out the weakest point of your joint capsule surrounding your knee. This is usually to the back portion of your knee capsule, and a cyst forms. The cyst has a valve made out of your joint capsule tissue. This valve can sometimes become clogged and the fluid becomes trapped in the cyst. Thus, even when the injury has resolved, you still have the swelling in the back of your knee. This is associated with pain usually described as dull and aching. The pain is worse with prolonged walking or standing. It is sometimes improved with rest, elevation and taking pain medication.

Bonnie, we don't know......Jaye said she thought she was getting a sinus infection...she hasn't been on yesterday or today....I talked to Cody, and Cody tried calling yesterday and today and didn't get anyone......
