Thanks for the coffee Maid M. Delicious.. you must have roast those coffee beans yourself. Once I had fresh roasted coffee with butter, and it's sooo rich!!

LK, I tried straw bale gardening last year, after following this forum.

KentNC is an expert at this.
It's perfect for me as I can't kneel and my soil is terrible. Last year, we placed a row of wheat strawbales, wet them for a couple of weeks, to 'cook' them. Planted veges, and tucked in a few annuals.. and voila.. a very effortless vege garden.
Only thing is I have to replace the bales this year, as I placed them string side down, and caused the bales to decompose easily. Hey.. no problem to that... just food for the ground. The bales are about $5 each here, and you can start with as little as you want. One plant to a bale.
This was my cayenne pepper with a companion plant.

Was busy this morning helping Kel. And yes Maid M.. Kel will certainly help you too if we're there. He'd volunteer his neighbor who does all the digging around here!!

Jaye, April is not a good month for me. April 22 will be 4 years ago my husband was killed, the 26th would have been our 12 wedding anniversary. So that could be a reason why.

Plus it's also the ending of bowling leagues and my mom always counts on me to make things for her banquets. Plus she gets stressed and crabby and I don't liek being around her when she is like that. makes me very uncomfortable because she gets snappy with everyone.

LOL, Yes he did we started dating when I was 19 he 17. Then he disappeared for several years and had married twice, I was #3 so I was his good luck charm.

Trisha,i have floaters too in my left eye.Mine is called (Toxoplasma Retinochoroiditis)it was caused by my cat i had.I guess his litter got in my eye somehow when i would clean it out.That is why i don't have cats in my house no more.I use some drops called (Systane)you can buy it at walmarts.It's about 8 or 9 dollars for two little 5ml bottles.It helps though,i'm suppost to wear sunshades when i go out side but i don't.

I know that April 1 st is April Fools day But I am hoping that I have a great day and get my closing date. I just lost my sister Moe For cleaning they called her back to work OH Judy where are you ? LOL And the landlord has been good and I only have to pay till May 1st. Things are going good so far Thank you all for putting up with my whining. It was worse it . Here I go I am starting a new Life New home, New Man ( Maybe) and new hair still the same but got it cut shorter my hard hat will still fit my next project will be getting a divorce. Oh I will just wait till he gets the money no sweat from me he can pay for that.
Well I am living out of boxes and most of them are in my way last nite I was trying to make a pass to my bed and one of my plants jumped up with a stick in it an cut my nose that's sons of guns now i have a scrape I hope i don't get a scab it will look like I have ( My mind can't think how to spell) berger hahahah hanging from my nose .

Jaye, I read that article about the straw bale gardening, and it looks nice. I might try that for some gourds I want to grow. Straw bales are cheaper than another load of dirt! Plus it will help the soil here!
Jaye, what kind of aprons are you working on? Are they for a group? it sounds like you are making so many of them?

Cindy, sorry to hear your not looking forward to April. I think we all have those times we don't look forward to. My Mom passed away the day after Mothers day, 3 years ago this year, and it is still hard to get through! Chin up, and take it one day at a time!

Yes,that is how i got that was through my cat litter because i would clean it out everyday.I guess that the price i have to pay now.I was on Prenazone for a long time for it,i don't know if that is the correct spelling.I will always have the floaters.They will settle down when using the eye drops.

I am legally separated from him for 5 years now and in the paper work he has no tie's to me or I to him Also If I haven't brought a home in the last 3 years I am called a new home buyer. When I signed the paper I had to sign off on our house. I am sure he wants nothing to do with me and he is also living with one of my girlfriends. So why wood he want this its in the some what city He is 350 miles away from him and he has a 100 acre in Michigan.
So I sure I am very good but I do get his pension and If I don't get married I can also collect his social security. so I have about 7 more years before I can collect Thats Bad HA HA HA HA

Got all the Christmas stuff up in the storage space that Don built... YAHOO...
Went to the grocery store and stocked up on JUST what was on sale... came home and cleaned up the chest freezer, Don moved it, plugged it in, and it's actually getting cold... YAHOO (again)... in the mean time, I crowded everything in the fridge freezer.
Then, I moved all the plants back outside again... watered all of them... and I'm about to move the others down to the gazebo... Don will have to help me with the big ones. Then, I can vacuum the sun porch... do you know how long it's been sice I could get around out there well enough to actually vacuum? LONG TIME.

THEN... tomorrow, I start painting the door that's waited a year to get painted... and the chairs that got sanded last year.
So, those will soon be off the sun porch too.

I'm one happy camper to get all this done...

Im taking a quick break today too.. The kids are off on spring break so we went through the closets and sorted out clothing with a major fashion show on tristens part.. lol we took both dogs and alked up to the park so the kids coul dplay for about an hour and then we got rained on walking home.. I packed up the decor in the living room, cleaned the ceiling fans and floors.. Now th ekids are on the frot proch reading twilight and ahrry potter.. Im so blessed to have GREAT kids..

Cindy Im sorry to hear April isnt good for you please do keep your chin up.. My moms wreck was in April 12 years ago when she lost her fiance and every year we celebrate the kind man he was and she knows she will see him again. Tonys birthday is the 22nd and Maxs twin daughters birthday is tomorrow.

Well I guess since its 330 I need to get dinner rolling for Max when he gets home. H actually ended up having sat, sun and last night off and was in much better spirits with sleep and relaxing with the family for a few days.. He really is beginning to hate where he works. He wont admit it but I know he is ready to go home. His dad has been sober since his hospital scare and is building an ultra light helicopter in his garage and Max said it will be nice to spend some QUALITY time with him. We are all so proud of him for stopping drinking..

OO Please everyone pray for my efforts tomorrow.>> Im going COLD TURKEY on quitting smoking.. We cant afford $5 a pack and I quit before the same way.. Im gonna need alot of gum.. lol

Cindy, I can relate oh so very well to what you feel in April. I am here just be there in September as I will be facing 5 --it is better but never is perfect again. Thank goodness for my grandchildren!!! I have to make myself stay busy or the month drags for me.

The diagnosis......I am getting older.....everything is fine....just made me really nervous after having a detached retina awhile back....I do not want to have to go through that procedure again!!

LK, you could plant more to a bale, depending on how much room your plant will take. Just don't use hay bales.
I think I'll plant zukes in one of the bales. Just don't plant anything too tall like corn and okra. Seriously, this form of gardening has given me back the pleasure of growing my own produce.

Supposedly if you put in Microsoft. com in the search and can open the site you are okay. Do sure if I trust that or not. got great sleep after my pill, but had a bad time waking up, just couldnt'. Randall got me up in time to go to aquatics class. could barely walk, my quads hurt so bad, all knotted up. class unknotted the right one. jacuzzi took some of the cramp out of the left one. Guess the up-down-up-down of weeding so fast was too much yesterday.

skimmed through end of last room. Today I went looking for an old fashioned watering can, and none to be found. Then went to plant 18 more irises. Randall's car needed to be picked up from the shop, and he dropped by to pick up Chinese for dinner. Orange chicken anyone.

I'm about to fall asleep. Think I'll record Dancing w/stars and go to bed. Night everyone. did any of this make any sense to anyone?

Thank heavens I don't hve to worry about that worm, I use a Mac and we don't use microsoft.

Please, may I ask for prayers, I had a cousin that died today of cancer that he's been battling now for 7 years. Can't remember what kind it was, but the family could use a few of your prayers. Thanks so much.

Robyn, so sorry on the loss of your cousin, our prayers are with you and your family.....I lost my cousin Joe to cancer in his twenties....it looks like we will be losing my uncle (Joe's dad) to Stroke and Pneumonia. The latest word is that he is not expected to make it through the weekend....looks like I have a quick trip to Oklahoma coming soon.....

I am beat....think I am headed for bed and don't plan to set the alarm! Everyone have a good night....or maybe I should be saying Good Morning at this point.
