Thanks for the coffee Maid M. Delicious.. you must have roast those coffee beans yourself. Once I had fresh roasted coffee with butter, and it's sooo rich!!

LK, I tried straw bale gardening last year, after following this forum.

KentNC is an expert at this.
It's perfect for me as I can't kneel and my soil is terrible. Last year, we placed a row of wheat strawbales, wet them for a couple of weeks, to 'cook' them. Planted veges, and tucked in a few annuals.. and voila.. a very effortless vege garden.
Only thing is I have to replace the bales this year, as I placed them string side down, and caused the bales to decompose easily. Hey.. no problem to that... just food for the ground. The bales are about $5 each here, and you can start with as little as you want. One plant to a bale.
This was my cayenne pepper with a companion plant.

Was busy this morning helping Kel. And yes Maid M.. Kel will certainly help you too if we're there. He'd volunteer his neighbor who does all the digging around here!!
