I just checked the extended forcast for this part of NY State.
I was looking for the next best day to transplant Monardas.
There is a severe off season winter storm coming.
Monday rain will turn to wet snow and all snow in higher elevations. They are predicting accumulations of 6 inches in higher elevations and less where WWNY wili and I live. I hope they are wrong.
I remember an old saying about snow twice on the daffodils befor spring is really here.

Supposed to be cold here the first part of this week too. Highs in the low 40's one or two days. Might only plant dormant stuff if I get the chance today. 45 and sunny now.

It was cold & windy yesterday, but DS got most of the new fence done while I babysat for the 3 darlings all day! Today it was 58, but still windy---I was raking leaves one way---the wind blew them the other way!

Had sun today and it is 50 degrees now. Wind laid down a bit. More rain tomorrow. I hope I can get some plants in the ground in the morning before we get rain. The week doesn't look promising. About the same as Victor is going to get. Patti

It has dropped to the 30's. Rain,snow mix. Poor daffs.

daffs will be just fine they will actually bloom for longer with the colder temps its the heat that make them go past bloom

32 around 7:00 a.m. 42 now and raining; heavy rain predicted for afternoon. The daffodils are up nicely; should see some blooms soon. The goldfinch boys that come to our feeder are getting to be the glass of fashion in their fully yellow sport coats.

my jack russel is tucked in behing my legs wont move, he is cold and he figures it is the warmest spot in the house hahahahah
