Ge1836, I agree with your succinct assessment . Windy, blowing a steady 25 to 35, cloudy, with sprinkles that are going to turn to rain and T-storms. It is 48. No outside work today, I suspect. Dang. Patti

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Giant downpour going on. Day is shot for working outside. Label making time. And housework, eek.....hate the thought. Patti

Thomaston, CT

Oh, yes, housework here, too. It's raining steadily, & 50. So glad the pickup's bed will be full of water as well as the brush I'm dumping tomorrow!

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Jumper2, but not snow! I hated that you might get more white stuff today. Fog has moved in, but he rain is now abating. But I am not going outside to do any work yet. Windy still, but that is less too than this morning. Patti

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

the rain and wind is coming my way for tomorrow suppose to be a real yuckie day

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Raining all day. Had a real downpour a bit ago and I saw that my gutters are clogged! Lots of mulch floated away.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Rain rain had 1 thunderstorm run thru here, then the sun came out for an hour, now it's gone again.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Wow did it come down...of course as we were going out to get pizza...it was coming down so hard we couldn't see out the window

Its coming down and still thundering

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

dark gray windy rain has stopped for now but earlier to was really coming down
and tomorrow is suppose to worst lol

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

It has blown through here in the past hour, with Thunder and lightening. The dogs went to hide, they hate it. Patti

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I actually like thunder storms, all the lightning is so pretty, my mom was terrified of them but I have always had respect for mother nature and what she can unleash

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I hated them when I was little...but then I heard to think of it as the angel's bowling...it actually helped

South Hamilton, MA

Thunderstorm & heavy rain just before six. Power went off, though not for very long. Had to come upstairs & restart the computer.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

coming down hard again and the wind is picking up
lol its going to be a long night

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I love thunderstorms.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I like them. Growing up in Oklahoma we got great t-storms. I love the Greek myth that tells the story of the one eyed monsters, the Cyclops Brothers, that first possessed thunder and lightening and after a long and contorted story, they became indebted to Zeus and in gratitude they gave him their thunder and lightening bolts. Patti

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I love storms but my jack russell hates them and barks at the lightning and thunder lol

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

My dogs hide and shake. If any one is interested in Greek Mythology genealogy this is a great, but expensive book that all libraries will have. here is an article about the book which is fascinating from the NYT's Patti http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/12/nyregion/here-s-uncle-zeus-aunt-hera-the-twins.html?pagewanted=all

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Funny - we're watching Clash of the Titans right now!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the best way I enjoyed thunderstorms was in my horse trailer / camper... open the window shades on either side of the bed... and sit back & relax... I used to turn off all the lights ...where my trailer was it was real dark so that's all I could see... miss that

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, too cool, I assume you mean the 1981 movie with Laurence Olivier which I just googled. I don't see movies, but that one sound kind of interesting. According to what I just reat a remake is due out in 2010. Wonder who will win next time? Patti

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

48 now going up to 54.... very very windy out

Windy with minimal peakage of the sun. Rain later this afternoon.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

After the rain yesterday it is only in the 40's. The snow is holding of till Mon. Of course it's the start of baseball season. We had trouble with snow last season. Too early for baseball up here, snow likes to come then.

South Hamilton, MA

48 degrees & rising wind. Rain predicted for Red Sox opening day.
