mY SURGERY HAS BEEN POSTPONED! i HAVE TO HAVE A HEART CATH FIRST. (Sorry) So I don't know when I can have it done. Mt cardiologist wouldn't OK it till they do one. My last ct scan wasn't normal. They didn't even call me to tell me! I
m really disappointed!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Audrey, so sorry your surgery is delayed, but those test are needed first! Pretty sad, they did not tell you about the last one!
LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

BEAUTIFUL Roses, Cody...

Audrey... LK is right... If the doc had gone ahead with the surgery without making sure your heart was stable ... something terrible could have happened to you. Sounds like you have a conscientious doctor there.

Well, I planted some spinach, english peas along the fence, and some string beans... I have no idea what I'm doing... but I'm having fun.

Raleigh, NC

only read for a few moments. Trish, your family in my prayers.

ohhhhh my ars.......and my neck....and my knee....and my back.

Went for first time this year to PDN. Jeremy wanted me to help spred the Plant Tone, but there were no masks to be found, so back to weeding! in trial seedling and colocasia/baptisa beds. These beds are more than all my gardens put together. really pushed just to do two solid hours of high speed weeding trying to keep up with Jeremy. the things I can't bend anymore! he rewarded me by digging a trillium that was in the wrong place for me. itsy bitsy little thing, it will take two years to bloom. also had me dig and keep some Poligomums(?) that were in the Trillium trial bed. After lunch, we looked over the fairy wings trial beds (epimeniums?). so adorable! one was blooming neon pale orchid, I swear under a black light it would glow.

then went to my 2nd iris garden. was pleased with growth on the ones planted last November. The ones planted in February are stunted, but the majority are not dead, that's something. Weeded and fertilized half the bed. My friend was cleaning house and giving me all sorts of stuff he doesn't need, like some wonderful teas, a pain creme, which I tried on my neck and got instint relief, and a "girl toy" tool. ["girl" because it was just the right size for his girlfriend Pat, but he had an extra] He wants me to come plant the remaining irises this week. going to be hard to do, but I'm going to try. There's still 100 there to plant. How do I tell him there's 200 more than he hasn't seen yet?

came home, potted my new babies and went back to weeding my iris beds! applied BenGay. now I can't move! Dancing is on, them I'm going to bed. I think, now that I'm in the garden all day, I'll sleep! yeah!

My first ever SDB iris is blooming, "Wizard's Return" will take photo in morning

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

From recipes to beautiful flowers to down to earth veges! You ladies have been chatty!

Cody, I had 2 Lady Banks.. they died from that Jap Beetle attack. There's a neighbor with an old fashion yellow rose. Might ask her for a cutting.

Hmm.. Robin.. good idea.. just let Kel harvest the zuchinnis.

Now BJ, I'd pick my green beans young and tender. They're sweeter too. Would blanch them and flash freeze them by layering them on pans. Then straight to ziplock bags. Taste better than canned.

Got us some wheat bales, and the price hasn't changed. Wanted to get 10, but the bed of the truck could only fit 5.. so we'll return to get more. I want to plant more eggplants this year.
Anybody else want me to plant something .. but I get to eat it?

I'm keen on trying out Stacey's Ant Zapper method. Grits are safer for my curious furry babies.

Cindy, congrats for pushing yourself on losing weight. Give me some of the will power!
Maid M.. so, were you sucessful in getting your DS to help you? I so wish he would. If not get the drains cleaned out.

I want to hug and squeeze and kiss Riley too!!! And what a sacrifice you made Deborah, to make sure she won't be exposed to any viral stuffs. That's love!!
Only Flaming Kim would have thought of ear plugs!!! Good job Kim!!

Well LK, I am glad you asked. Another site to ignore. You'd be surprised of the number so called, established, reputable sites I had ordered from and the plants are of sub-par quality. Don't be led by the discounted ones they offer.. normally, they're ready to be trashed!

I agree Audrey, it's better to do it right than hurry and have grave consequences.

Trisha, there's no limit to the amount of prayers asked. If the Lord laid that down, we will all be in trouble. Will certainly pray for Sean and Laura that one of them get the job. All according to His will, and He knows the plans He has laid out for them, will be the best ;)

Donna, soon you'd be saying goodbye to the friends you've made that have become your family. Just tell them, your address will still have AMERICAN zip code!

Wow Bonnie, your internship at PDN will certainly help you in becoming one of the best iris breeder. I must say that you have an amazing drive to do the best you can for what you like!

When Kel got home, he dragged me to eat at the local Quizno's then off to just browse at a Tractor Supply store.
I must have really feel bad today as I don't even feel like bidding on what interests me on eBay! Been dozing on and off this afternoon.
But don't worry, if it gets any worse.. off to the doctor I will go!! In the meantime, I'll be drinking more milk. It helps with mucus production. Don't want anything to stay in my lungs.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Good evening all.....Laura and I went out to the library and got a load of Polymer clay books, up to JoAnn's and got their very last block of the flesh colored clay....should have some more in two or three weeks! Guess I will have to start getting it on line....my experience with JoAnn's is it will be more like two or three months! We checked out Harbor Freight and I got a great set of carving tools for use with the clay for $5.99....they also have a lot of cool Gnome and Frog Solar lights. JoAnn's had a bunch of really cute gnomes and frogs and flamingos!!!

They say our BIL is doing well but are keeping him sedated for several days as due to the broken rib pain he doesn't want to breathe when he is conscious....

This stuff floating in my eye is driving me crazy!!!! I keep wanting to clean my glasses, but that isn't the problem.....grrr.....

Isn't this guy cute!!!!!

Trisha, sorry to hear your eye is bothering you. Make sure you make an appointment with the eye Dr.
Love those gnomes, and little froggie with the turtles. They are so cute, and will look nice in your fairy garden!
Jaye, please take care of your sinus. Get the netty pot and give it a try. What do you do with the wheat bales?
BJ, Can't wait to get pictures of your veggies growing.
Bon, please give your back a rest, we can't have you on the injured list!
I am off to sleep, later

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I envy you that live in a big city, Trisha. All the big craft stores.. Only Michael's at the beach, and it stocks up like, quarterly..
That turtle and froggy on a toadstool.. is that a garden lamp? Nice find Trisha.
I can imagine his pain. That was me. Begged the doctor to 'morphinize' me for a few days after surgery. Worse when they want me to cough..
Keep us posted Trisha.
LK, I don't use the neti pot. It's something else that the doctor gave me. I guess if I hadn't use it, I'll be like the old Jaye, always getting sinusitus. Learnt that having your nostrils flushed doesn't prevent ALL infections, but most.. :*( I know I followed the directions well, and it's not written in Chinese! :D

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Trisha, I like the froggy in the wheelbarrow. Where did you find that one?
Get that eyes checked please, before space ships come into your field of vision!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks LK, my eye Doc is getting me in at 7:45 in the morning! I could have seen him today but would have to have driven to his other office in a town about 25 miles from here...

How about these Mushrooms? We found this out in the woods when we went for awalk with Orion yesterday...

Cindy, I love the “You think women are the 'weaker sex'? Yeah right. Bite me..”

But you missed the annuals, not to mention bleeding for 5 to 7 days once a month. There was a saying I heard somewhere that said never trust anything that bleeds for a week and doesn’t die, which isn’t something a man could do, but at least part of my “PMS” is being pissed that guys don’t have to go through a period ever month.

Jaye, I do believe that what happens, happens for a reason. I rarely ask for something specific, like right now I’m praying that I get a job I like that will bring enough money in to make us comfortable. I do have the two jobs in mind, but there is the “be careful what you ask for, you might get it” and you never know…

I’m not sure I’d call Olympia a “big” city. It’s big enough to have stuff and close enough to big cities that you can get stuff that isn’t carried here. Like we’ve been looking for doll house furniture and no one in town has any, or any but Barbie type stuff, but I’d bet there is a specialty store that is mainly miniature stuff somewhere between Seattle and Portland. We just have Michael's and Jo Anne's here in town and Wal-Mart. It's better than nothing, but hard to find some of the stuff we're looking for, like Lumiere acrylic paints, glycerin in larger than 1 oz. quantities, etc...

Linda, we just took pictures for ideas, we would prefer to spend money on materials than stuff.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You got that right, Laura. Be careful what you wish for..
That truly bit me in the behind more than a few times! Now I just pray for Him to do what's best for me!

Mind's not functioning right .. work starts early in the morning.

Sleep well.. and Laura, so glad to have you back, regular.

CODY!!! GO TO BED!!! :D

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

My standard prayer is "Help me to find the right road and have the strength to walk it" though I've sometimes wondered if I shouldn't make it less poetic and change it to "Help me to know what is best to do and have the strength to do it"

We got a call from my cousin tonight....Uncle Rex has pneumonia in addition to the stroke and treatment is not going well...she said it does not look good and she doesn't think he will ever make it out of the hospital.....our prayer now is that he is not allowed to suffer.

Coushatta, LA

Thanks LK and BJ.

Jaye,i won't stay up too late.

Trisha that is so sad.I would never want anyone to just linger on and suffer,I'll prey that if it is his fate to not recover, to go home to the Lord quickly and painlessly.Big hugs to you my sistah.

well, I'm back up. my knee hurt every time I moved in bed. took a whole tylenol pm - I ususally only take a half. waiting to get drousy.

doing a bit of skimming. y'all have been chatty, haven't you?

Laura, my mom always told me that women had periods once a month and men had to shave every day and sometimes twice a day. that was the deal. what she didn't tell me was that, when the periods finally stopped, I've be shaving ......

Trisha, praying for no suffering now.

ahhhhh, I'm getting to drousy to type. sweet dreams, sweet ladies.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Bon, Shaving your face and shaving your legs I think works out equal, if not more on our end, and both are expected in this society. I once had a friend who's boyfriend was bugging her to shave more often and she told him she'd shave more often if he shaved his legs every time she shaved hers.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Bonnie ,me and the dear Lord are going to be talkin all night long,Wonder if he's ready for me tonight....LOL.Praying your knee will stop hurtin ya so you can at least get a good nights rest.I know first hand what having pain is like and feel for you.Hugs and kisses.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Rick will let his face get jaggy and I hate it,and I tell him I'll shave my legs on the days you shave your face.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

My DH lets his shaving go sometimes and I do prefer him clean shaven, but with the price of razors...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

To let go, and pray for a painless and quick passing of a loved one, takes a lot of courage.

Like Synda and Bonnie, I too will pray for Uncle Rex an end to his sufferings.

See you in the morning.. God bless your family Trisha.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Synda, Bonnie, Jaye....thank you. Hope you can all settle in and have a good night....((Hugs)))

Coushatta, LA

Trisha, sorry to hear that. Are they pumping that stuff out of his lungs,or are they able too because of the stroke. My heart goes out to you and your family.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Cody. They are trying to to but my cousin said it isn't working well....I don't know all the details, my info is all second hand from my mom...

That is such a precious picture of Mocha....the last time I visited this aunt and uncle they had a little Chi that looked just like mocha...except she wasn't a teacup...she would lay in my lap and if I stopped petting her she would push her head into my hand until I would start petting her again. She was a very sweet little dog.

Think I may call it a night....my eye appointment is very early in the morning.....

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Good luck with the eye DR ,can you see to drive yourself? Like if I'm close enough to come and take you,see how my mind is thinking....LOL.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Synda, Oh, I can see okay it is just like one lens of my glasses is a little smudged and the smudge keeps moving around....can't take the eye out and clean it off like I can my glasses......it is very weird......do wish you lived that close though, we could get into all kinds of trouble together!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Well let's pray it is a quick fix.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thanks, good night.

Coushatta, LA

You are very welcome Trisha.I hope they can do something to make him better. Thanks!!!Mocha is the type of dog where she wants to stay in your lap all the time.Every time i put her on the floor she climbs the couch and gets back in your lap and goes to sleep.

Good night Trisha,sweet dreams
