Maid M.. what is passion flowers?? Kel says that might be some passionate plants!!

Ahhhh... passifloras!! Got ya...
The lightening is in the distance now. That has passed but the heavy rain is pounding.
If they're that bad, try cutting them back Maid M. The roots might be healthy still to produce new growth.
Sorry Jaye, yes passifloras. Mine looks fried actually frozen would be more accurate. Don't really know what to do with it at this time.
Ahhh, so let it be written, so let it be done--when the rain slacks up that is! Sugar melts you know. LOL
I got some passifloras from Florida... but I didn't mulch them well :( Oh well...
There are some that grow wild in the ditch around here. The old folks call them Maypops!
APRONS!!!!!!!put the pedal to the metal.

Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie... your garden will soon transform into an enchanted one.. Can't wait to see your hordes of irises in bloom.
Cody, you slave driver!!! Even pharoah gave his slaves a break!!
LLLLLLLLOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I am an old folk! This is the first time I have ever had any and it was a gift. Some reason or another I never managed to plant any in Gainesville. Mine might be okay as they are heavily mulched. Come the next dry day they will get a haircut.
Well, we didn't spend much today. Got more polymer clay at Michael's and tools. The cashier gave us a $10 discount! :D Must be Kel's good looks!!
We ate at Dagwoods, great Wahu fish fry and chips. Chicken wings for appetizer and I couldn't eat all my fish.
Then of course, sojourned to Mecca, Maid M., was told to check back in a week.. gonna have the new Michael Miller line. Quilter who wanted to sell her Featherweight changes her mind. Kel's happy, he says, that's for his plane ticket. Don't think I'll look for one on eBay.
Passifloras are beautiful. There are a lot of enthusiasts here.. have their own forum.
I want more this year but need to build more trellises.. don't think Kel will be up to it :(
Oh and I didn't get to go to Mecca with you! Bummer. Did hit the sale at WalMart on clearing out their fabric. Got some "filler" pieces.
I have the trellis and this year intend to add to the passifloras. They can be addictive but then show me a plant that isn't?
Whew... saw the breadcrumbs before Jax ate em all up...
I had 1 passie survive my attention over the winter. I don't know what happened, but had to throw the other one out the other day... after watering it all winter... BUT, I do have 1, and it's my first... and I can't wait to see it bloom... it's climbing my fence.
Bonnie... if your "cant decide what to do with it" garden, and my sun porch are in a contest... I WIN...
Got to figure out what we're having for dinner... BBL
Hi...
Well, i have been just asculpting all day!
LOL wait, till you see my alien muppett! ROFLOL, i am still laughing over it
looks more like a mouse and Breenie, can't quite figure what it is but she did smile while shaking her head! Hmmm, maybe I should stick to material, eh?
Looks like you all had some serious weather, We are cold, cold sleeting rain, yuk.
So nothing better to do then laundry and pretend to be a sculpter...
But, i had some incredible news. My brother's Daughter who was moved to Pennsylvania somewhere when she was 3 has contacted him!!! He is so excited and me too. he gave me her number and i am now waiting to hear back from her. I hope she calls me, when she was little bitty one, We all spent a great deal of time together. I have over the years prayed she would find us. She is now 17.5 years old. So Keep fingers crossed please that she want to "meet" me too.
Oh great sighs, i so thrilled just to know she called her dad, my brother.
Smiling and laughing aloud over here.
Can I jump in here too? I purchased my first passilfora this week. It didn't have a name on it, but know the blossoms are going to be purple. Can see the tint already showing in the buds. I think next to the purple clematis, this is my one of my favorite flowers to look at. But then, anything purple I like looking at. I'd paint my house purple if code would allow. lol
Maid M, it is getting ready to come in on us up here in the northeast now. getting really dark out there and whenever I hear the 'train' rumble in the distance I breathlessly wait to hear the train whistle before it gets to the edge of town. We've been under severe weather watch all day, but the day was really nice outside. I did get one flat of my snapdragons and pansies planted before my back gave out on me. Hopefully the rain will revive them .
Oh Seedtosser! that is such great news! Yes, fingers all crossed that she will call.
Judy, great news sistah!!! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy... a good reason to uncork a good bottle of vintage Coca Cola!! I'm sure your brother's thanking all the angels and old heavenly guardians. Keep us posted. AND I want to see pictures of your clay miracle. Tell Breenie that it's a miracle you're working with clay, even if it looks like a mouse.. hey I can't do mouse!!!
Marilyn, welcome!!!! So glad you pop in!!! Make yourself very comfy here, and I think you know most of the sistahs here already.

Marilyn, back in Louisiana, I had a neighbour who painted his house purple. Well he's a big LSU fan (like me). It always caused some to get a whiplash driving past his house!!
That's ture too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I is here...someone hit me in the head with a breadcrumb...barely made it! Whew! I be tired after all that running...can anybodies offer a gal a refreshment?
Went Kmart today ta get a new patio table/chair. Why on earth do they make them chairs so skimppy? They not be for healthy peoples!
Jax,here some bailey's,but get your own ice, that is for your head.
Jaye,i really enjoyed our chat.
Me too Cody!! Just got through feeding Ali his new food. That old dog may be blind and deaf.. but his appetite is good!
Jax.. ever thought folks like us need heavy duty chairs? Lolol.. no.. no Bailey's for you Jax. You got to start drinking healthy beverages!
Good that he has a good appetite.
Tornado warning's been issued for this area. Well.. my turn to be on edge. Rain's pouring hard right now. Been collecting rain water, so that's a plus..
Jaye,be careful and keep us post on it or call me so i know you are ok.

Could send smoke signals.. don't think that would work.. moreover I hadn't taken lessons from Judy!
Phyllis, we're still in flowering pear/dogwood/plum phase here.. soon the azaleas will follow.
Beautiful..
Storm is here now. Mostly boomimg thunder and rain. I really do not like tornados.
