LindaKay, so glad you are going, it will be a blessing for sure for all of you..you also get to visit Arizona...will you be able to get some sightseeing done? look forward to hearing about your trip...
My Jeff lived in Phoenix for 6months when he worked for American Express (yep followed in mom's footprints) and I kept meaning to go for a visit but never did..at that time he was spending 6 months in different countries implementing a program in all their offices...next was to have been in Australia however his wife did not want to travel anymore with first child shortly to be born so he changed job..
I as well purchase extended warrantee Tubby..I even pay a premium on my mortgage which covers incase furnace gives up..think it's about $10 per month but worth it..already had one claim a few years ago when the motor died...

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
Oh, good morning, everyone! Having a bad day and would like to share it with a couple of others in my life (DH and DS), but they are not here. And I won't take it out on you.
The pictures posted are so interesting. I love the ducks! Isn't it so amazing that they remember where to go year after year for a good meal!
Anyone want a baby cockatiel? Our breeder pair just hatched 3 babies. We now have 7 cockatiels: the pair, 2 from last year's brood, and now the 3 babies. I'm getting ready to sell all but the pair. I just can't handle all that whistling and screeching. On the other hand, when the daddy bird does his "woman whistle," that's the only time someone whistles at me. Sometimes (jokingly), I tell him thank you!
My son will not be visiting for Spring Break. I bought the baby's Easter things yesterday. When I packed the Easter basket to get it ready for the mail, I just cried when I put in the chocolate sucker. I have a picture of Colt eating his first chocolate bunny sucker and he has chocolate all over him. He also has the biggest grin on his face! I so wanted to see Liam eat his first chocolate sucker and take a picture of him. I miss Liam so much!
Hubby is in his off-again mode. He kissed me Sunday and then of all things, he apologized to me yesterday for doing it. He said he didn't want to make me feel uncomfortable. HUH? He waited a whole day later to say I'm sorry I kissed you. Is he the one who was uncomfortable? Is he playing mind games with me. I told him that what he said made me feel uncomfortable because it made me feel like he regretted doing it. Men? They're not from Mars; they're from the Twilight Zone!
Anyway, I'm in that mode again where I'm thinking, "I'm getting stronger. I am woman. Hear me roar!"
love to all, julie
This was the machine we saw at Hancock's that I liked:
http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Janome-8077-Computerized-Sewing-Machine-Standard-Sewing-Machines_stcVVproductId48446267VVcatId539684VVviewprod.htm
Finishing up ragging the last quilt today, so after all is said and done I will post pics of the 3 I made:)
Betty-I was too excited and told Mom the feeder was part of her Bday pressie early!! She loved it!! She also really liked the blackboard too:) Her machine worked fine, but with all the tension problems, I am a little hesitant to take it-we spent a lot of time dealing with that-makes me a little nervous since I am new to this and not sure if I have the know how or patience to deal with that. I know I want a button hole option and I want a double and triple stitch option and while the seam guide would be nice, the ruler worked just fine...
Stacey, I can't believe you got all those quilts sewn, must not have been on 'slow speed' you must have had it on 'high'..you are comfortable with all machines from the sounds of it..the machine you are interested in is perfect for what you need..beautiful..think the feed dogs go down as well so that if you want to do random quilting you'll be able to do so...doesn't that particular model come with the attachable seam guide? it's a must Stacey..
LOL at the birdfeeder...and you did it on your own..no wonder she loved it..you're getting to be quite the crafter...
tubby, love the stove..don't recall seeing 5 burners but then you know me, last appliance I use in the house is the stove..
Julie, hugs coming your way...you've got a good sense of humour today if nothing else..you have me chuckling..only thing I have to say is 'what's wrong with that man's head' to say such a thing..shaking my head with hands on hip here...do hope your day improves...
Vicki, look at those cornstalks...your grass at least is taking on a shade of green..
Brought lunch back to the office..MUST eat it before it gets cold...although the wind is cool it sure is sunny...was at the Bakery (service italian food as well) and they had rock n roll music playing..guess who was dancing....lol
No-I have found that unless you spend a TON ost of them don't have the seam guides-but since the ruler worked so well, that isn't a huge deal I guess. I did have the machine on low speed, but with the petal totally pushed, the low was the speed I worked at on your machine-the high was so fast I felt as if the machine would take off from the table!!LOL
I also found a Brother on Amazon I like-not sure if that is a good brand or not though....
http://www.amazon.com/Brother-CS6000I-60-Stitch-Computerized-Functions/dp/B000JQM1DE/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1238522296&sr=1-12
Julie ROAR away..LOL
One bad apple spoils the look of the whole basket..LOL
I'm shaking finger Opps bad finger bad finger..LOL
LK that is the correct site..Only have to enter model # 94464 In bisque color to match frig.
The price there is higher than we paid. "A little" LOL
They must have changed pic of open oven. It shows diff. food..
Betty 5th burner not real burner .Just a warming zone..
I just had a thought Nice in winter when I come in with cold hands..LOL
Be carefull with your emails, and what you click on, in the computer. There is a big possiblity, that there will be a nasty worm going around for April fools day. If this is a true story, it can freeze up not only your computer, but the web servers as well.

Nice sewing machines. I need to hit the lotto, so I can go and get one!
froggie girl, Just take it one day at a time, but please don't stay with him, because of the kids. That was my mistake with my first hubby! Thought it was the right thing to do, and for the last 4 years of the marriage, we all suffered. My oldest son then only 12, came to me one morning after hubby left for work, and ask me why I stayed with someone that picks a fight, even before we get out of bed? So with that said, I called home, borrowed $500.00, and moved out the next week-end.
Best thing I could have done!
Now I am not telling you to leave your hubby, only you can make that decision, but don't make your, and your kids life miserable!

Taters55, thank you so much for the advice. I know I need to leave, but the boys want to stay with him. I'm just going to have to sit my boys down and let them know I cannot leave them. My husband cannot take care of them with the hours that he works, so the boys will just have to understand that they will have to stay with me. My husband needs help, and I can't help him. Thanks, Taters55, for helping me realize I can't keep doing this. love, julie
Julie,
has your husband expressed an interest in keeping the boys? If he knows he cannot care for them, then maybe he could explain to them that they need to be with you.
I dunno....what a difficult situation to be in. I wish I could fix it for you.
how is the young student who was in the accident?
Great advice LindaKay...
Stacey best you order one of those machine..I cannot believe the prices..next one I purchase will be across the border that's for sure..
Tubby, warmer would be great for me, that way I wouldn't burn water...
How are you doing Shar? Is it a gardening day for you?
Hi Betty...
No gardening, it has rained bucketsful.
It was a writing day, then had to run to the pharmacy to get meds, and now it is back to thinking about dinner. Don't think I can live on cheese and oranges, so need to do something about cooking, I guess. I am ready for the day I can graze on tomatoes in the garden. In the meantime, gotta think about cooking. maybe tuna salad....
Shar, much the same, can live on cucumber and tomatoe sandwiches, then for special treat, yellow beans in butter and dill with a few baby potatoes..don't even care if I've meat...
Got home to a surprise....I must take time when saying my prayers tonight to once again thank the Lord for all my earthly angels...not only did Tom come to measure the washroom closet door, Mike called to say he'd try and come before I'm away to put the bedroom door up, then I took a walk in the gardens, I cleaned 2 but that Cathy and her mom were here to take Sailor for a walk and I see another 3 gardens have been cleaned and half the back yard..unbelievable...
Cathy doesn't drive and don't think she goes many places so once I'm back I think I'll take her Buffalo side for the weekend, mom wants to go so one more won't hurt, kids can care for the animals...I'll surprise her...
I made homemade bread and a big stew on the weekend..froze most of it but enough left out for supper tonight and tomorrow..at lunch there was enough lasagna left that between both, no cooking..ask me if I'm sad! lol
Worked off and on basecoated the pieces for the table/chairs for Suzanne's grandaughter..I love decorative painting, just NOT fond of the basecoating..so boring..I was amazed actually at how much there is..I probably only got 1/2 done today..tomorrow is another day right...
Would go out and put all those leaves in the firepit and burn but the wind is up..what I'll do is go have a bath, vacuum upstairs and then see how much energy I've left for the evening..
Betty, such nice surprises for you when you got home. Very nice friends indeed!
Love the chairs. Can't wait to see them finished.
LK
Well, we had some bad wind today and lost some shingles off the roof, so I need to go clean my house; we’ve let it slip with the dog sitting and being sick. While he’s here he’s going to take a look at the bathtub facet to see if it’s leaking into the wall so he’ll be inside; just trying to catch up on here first.
Sharran, thanks for the compliment on the webpage, I’m fairly proud of the ones I’ve done.
Janice, for a second I thought the “kitty bird feeder” was in reference to the ducks and the food dishes :o)
I had to share my excitment. Lalalambchop put up one of her daylily seedling for grabs and I won it by being the first to ask for it. On the daylily thread it is way down and is a small red bloom on top of a white car hood. Go look. That made my day. And also I haven't had but 4 cigs all day long so that is a bonus. Sorry I haven't been on but starting busy season for me. LOVE ALL BEV
Hello To All;
LK - Good warning....our IT guy at work had us do a little something with Internet Explorer, "tools", "windows update", then follow instructions.....
He doesn't usually warn about upcoming viruses so I want to do the same on my home computer....Must be because it's April Fools Day tomorrow...
Hello Sharran! Tuna Salad - yum! I keep trying to remind myself to make one for dinner....we've got these little critters getting my basil and some peppers and thinking I need to try the 'beer in a can' trick. So I need a tuna can.
Something else seems to be eating the petunias and rooting under the marigolds....I guess it could be squirrels...
Hey Betty - Homemade Bread - YUM! I do believe Stacey has ratted you out....you MUST be a wonderful cook!
Tubby - Congrats on the new stove....we've slowly over the last 5 years had something break down every year. one by one replaced all but the dryer. DH is a 'trash pirate' though...he was able to get our stovetop for $5 at a garage sale, and got our oven (brand new) at auction for $35! (He works at the auction though ...gets bargains from time to time.) But we def paid full price for the Refrig...and should have gotten a warranty....the ice maker has broken down twice....$200+ each time!
Rough day at work today. Boss giving me a new account to handle albeit, when she gave it to me she said it was because it was "difficult" and she knew I could handle "difficult accounts"....I guess that means everyone else gets the easy ones! LOL
Okay - headed to send off emails....
Back shortly!
Hugs,
Mary
Mary your boss gave you a complement. That is cool. You should have said, Oh a raise for handling the difficult accounts would be nice..LOL.Of course you might want to say that with a smile..LOL
Yes extended warranty's have been good for us..I just extended mine on my truck a few months ago.
Betty ya a cook in crafters cloths..I've heard of this before..LOL
AS for your friends act of kindness..I'll bet its like "What goes around comes around"
Nice to have good close friends.Huh
dragonfly62 congrats on winning the lily.
Laura we had crazy winds here too..Don't know if anything blew off..I did see a 5 gal, bucket go bye bye across the field.LOL I sure wasn't going to chase after it..LOL
Nite All
Tubby
Hello All;
Hey Tubby - Yes - That would have been nice but we are on commission....so I was "supposedly" getting a "raise" by getting the difficult account.....quite a surprise when my Boss put me on probation 2 years ago (For being 'negative') then forgot about it....
HA!
I guess everyone else can be "positive" when they get the "easy" accounts.... :)
So Nebraska is getting some weather tonight? We were supposed to...they cancelled DS's tennis match and lo and behold we had sunshine at 5p. DS doesn't understand .....they need to cancel Tennis Matches when the forecast is 90% Heavy Thunderstorms!
Don't know what' s going on with the weather....
hello all..
well i had a nice surprise this week. the postman bought me a beautiful top that i will be wearing to my husband work do next week!
thakyou my dear.. hugz to u.. ur such a sweet heart and it brightened my day.
well, the arm got sore alright and guess what happened? the shot poisoned my blood!! apparently cos my immune system is so low ..... i had red lines running from the needle site..... i got so sick they panicked so no more flu shots for me... sigh.. ya gotta laugh or u would cry eh? i was misserable.
but ont he mend now. my big boss has not been here for 3 months! woot!
Morning, getting back into my early routine, already up for 1/2 hr.
Laura, must have been quite the winds to take shingles off the roof..if the landlord is already coming and looking at the plumbing issues it sounds as though he wants to maintain the house so that's a plus...when life gets busy the housekeeping sure can go to pot..before visiting Laura, Stacey asked if she could make Janice a feeder the same as I sent her in a swap..it's a cat just waiting for birdies to come feed..she'll have to post it..gave her a few painting tips, she caught on immediately and now Janice is the proud recipient and happy as can be...
Bev, what a beautiful photo to wake up to this morning, may I use it as my screen saver...omg you'll be at the post looking for your daylily..is it a color you don't have? How have you and Scotty been feeling, better now that you can get outside gardening I'm sure...it felt wonderful Sat. being out..did too much but been a long winter...
Laura (Wonderhug) guess all and all 3 weeks wasn't a long time for your parcel to arrive...glad you like it, hope it fit...sexy isn't it? I'm sure you'll look terrific wearing it to DH's due! Work must be going better now that she's not been there...hope things improve with your health...
Mary, you sound much like my Suzanne, the more she does the more she's given to do because she's so capable but right now she's working early hours, late hours and takes work home on weekends..not good...so make sure they don't take advantage of you...
Tubby, I can only hope that I'm as good a friend to them as they are to me..don't think I can reach that magnitude but I keep trying..
April fools day..my sister's birthday..she turns 57..must give her a call this morning...
Off for coffee and breakfast..need to go through my paints, a few missing at the office to finish basecoating..then maybe at daylight before I dress for the day I'll collect all the leave piles and put them into the firepit..
Weather here is suppose to be nice today, rain for the next few days..I'll accept anything, as long as it's not snow....
Of cource Betty. You are welcome to use any of my pics. The daylily is one of a kind that she hybridized so I can name it what I want. It is a soft red with Three thin petals and three bigger ones I think, It was going to be culled anyway. I will be axcious to see it next yrs bloom. Been to wet to work outside but won't be long now. Here is a pics of my little 4 inch daffodils. I am going to dig them and get a fairy to put them arround. Morning all and HUGS BEV
i am one sexy mama for sure! rawr!!!
as for the health im just going with the flow on a daily basis and being happy with what i have. doesnt always work but im gettin there.
the house is hectic with the DD and GD here... and always messy lol
oh well..
hugz all
Bev, sounds like a beauty..where is the site so I can view it? when you say cull, does that mean it was going to be thrown away? Have you thought of a 'name'?
I can see in your photo's, plants tags, lots to come up yet...
Light rain when I left this morning but not enough to stop me from walking the gardens and seeing what is coming up..called Cathy to thank her, told me to leave all the other gardens and gradually she'd do them all..
Guess as she lives with her mom and dad she's not free to do what she wants..i.e. gardening..her dad says it's much too early to rake so she makes herself at home and rakes mine..
Laura (Wonderhug) it's nice to feel sexy at times..glad it got there in time for your event.you must take photo for me..hard when you are purchasing for someone and don't know their style...I just thought it was 'you' ... once your DD and DGD have found a place of their own, you can clean house, right now know that they need you... not all parents take their children in...
Now you've had family living with you for a few years..you and DH won't know what to do when you are finally alone...what's that pooch up to...growing to beat the devil I bet...
My girlfriend Liz from Ireland just msn'd me to say her niece's husband died at 62...that's 3 deaths this week...
I must give my brother Bernie a call..he goes for his deposition tomorrow regarding his 'house' fire suit....let's hope he gets somewhere..prayers please...
Trisha, think you are the only one so far who hasn't gotten their pattern..let's hope it arrives today..
AnnMarie..worried about you..
Somebody has been doing a lot of sewing..your hands must be tired of clipping Stacey..they are beautiful..nice work doing pattern on both sides..your graphs worked to your advantage..lol...boy you have the sewing bug? I'd really go for one of the models you showed us yesterday..which is dependent on your budget...Recipients of the blankets will know how much effort you put into them....lovely..what did hubby think of them?
Love it Stacey...you used the green material you purchased here...
Janice loved her black/white/silver thread material..anxious to see it made into something...

Stacey you did really really good for your first time out!!! I'm very proud of what you got accomplished and you should be too. Betty and Janice get big hugs too for being good teachers. Now tell me; did you enjoy it? Was it fun for you? What do you think of your quilt???
Again he was like "they are nice babe"LOL He isn't happy about the fact that I clipped them in his chair so now his robe has little threads stuck all over it!!LOL I don't have the $$ to get a machine right now, but thought I would look and see what I want so when I do I know where to get it:)
stacey, beautiful job!
what size are your squares?
I did have fun and thoroughly enjoyed myself:) I tell ya I am a pro at bobbins and thread now too after all the loading I had to do for these!!LOL I LOVE my quilt!! I love the colors in all 3 and love the way they came together-I love the backs too!! It was a smidge complicated as mom said, only I would make such an easy quilt so complicated, but when she saw the finished product and my vision realized, she was impressed too:)
they are all 8" finished squares-I wanted them large enough to display a good amount of fairies-I snipped the edges about 1/4 & 1/8" apart to make it raggier
You must be thrilled with the finished project Stacey..
Now raining heavily, can see blue sky far off, perhaps it's moving this way..
Got my paints out so that will fill my day....
