Next installment of Susan just posted!!!! Such a good story!!
This is neat
Perspective
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered: !
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing m! e how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!
Bravo!!! I love that one!!!

which he is loved and blessed by.

Wow what an ordeal
If you don't laugh out loud after you read this you are in a coma! This is even funnier when you realize it's real! Next time you have a bad day at work think of this guy.
Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana .
He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs. Below is an e-mail he sent to his sister. She then sent it to radio station 103.2 FM in Ft. Wayne , Indiana , who was sponsoring a worst job experience contest. Needless to say, she won.
Hi Sue,
Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother.
Last week I had a bad day at the office. I know you've been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my dilemma with you to make you realize it's not so bad after all .
Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job.
As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It's a wet suit. This time of year the water is quite cool.
So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of equipment sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature.
It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose. Now this sounds like a darn good plan, and I've used it several times with no complaints.
What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wet suit.. This floods my whole suit with warm water. It's like working in a Jacuzzi.
Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my butt started to itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse.
With in a few seconds my butt started to burn . I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done. In agony I realized what had happened.
The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit. Now, since I don't have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn't stick to it However, the crack of my butt was not as fortunate
When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into the crack of my butt.
I informed the dive supervisor of my dilemma over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with Five other divers, were all laughing hysterically.
Needless to say I aborted the dive. I was instructed to make three
agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling thirty-five minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression.
When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass
helmet. As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of
laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my butt as soon as I got in the chamber.
The cream put the fire out, but I couldn't poop for two days because my butt was swollen shut.
So, next time you're having a bad day at work, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your butt.
Now repeat to yourself, 'I love my job, I love my job, I love my job.'
Now whenever you have a bad day, ask yourself, is this a jellyfish bad day?
May you NEVER have a jellyfish bad day!!!!!
LOL/LOL Love my job "Tubby" your company gone?
Didn't get out into the garden, by the time I got a perm and haircut, picked up something to eat the temp was dropping, so instead, into my jammies, watched a movie as I nibble on popcorn, came downstairs to feed Sailor, kitties wanted out, going back upstairs with an arm full of books and yep, just going to laze arround..
Best of the Day..laughing and having a great time with the girls in the office..
Worse...Greg just called me to tell me a friend of mine just passed away...
What did I learn..bad haircut can really be cut to look nice..oh happy days...
No they are here for the weekend.
Everyone is preparing dinner,,NOT MY THING..LOL
So I'm playing
I like this one too..
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right and pray for the ones who don't.
Sorry to hear about your friend Betty.
Tubby, That was a great laugh! and I like the next saying too.
LK...Thank you, the beads are strung approx every 7 and then tacked every 3rd. They take 6 hours to make the stockings, lol and I have tried every short cut and still takes 6 hours...I used to make key chains but they take longer because each and every bead is added individually. I don't have a picure because i never thought to take any until a couple of years ago. LOL now I photo almost every step, which drives my kids nuts!
I just found a photo of a bear I embroidered a couple of years ago, That was lots of fun to make, not with beads yard and floss...It's one of my own creation, lol I designed it witha coffee cup!
If you are interested I post a photo.
Geesh, Steve still not home...don't know if I should worry going to start pacing in a few.
Judy you know us! We Always want Photos!!!
Tubby - of course the worst job is in Louisiana !
:)
Mary
That is great Judy!!!....don't think I could do that.....
Thanks Trisha...With all of the incredible neat things you make! LOL, i used to think well it's just sewing...something to occupy my time, now I am a fanatic about keeping my patterns...didn't keep that one, it's definatley a one of a kind will never use that techique again...It was really rough with the yarn....
But oh My gosh i do have the pattern...duh the picture I can always copy. woah, it's like haveing a V-*. lol, well bust my buttons.
Judy - the bear is a cutie! Hey Trisha!
Finally back from dinner....had to take Sage out for Potstickers to make up for her having to come home from Climbing Class early last night....she wasn't too happy about that...

I'm looking around at the yard, so much to do, don't know where to start..my first incling if temps go up to where I won't freeze to death is to empty the pond/clean it and start fresh trying not to disturb the fishes should they have survived the winter..it's about a day and 1 1/2 job..best get on warm snugglies, first check to see if the hose will work and if so I've got me a project to do..lol...
