Oh Tammie Honey, I am so sorry about your plants. I am really tired and must get a shower. We have this entire place mowed, I sold so many daffodils today I had to close at 4 p.m. because I was out of those open enough to cut.

We are to have rain Monday, Snow Tuesday, Wed,. and Thurs. O.K. Friday Rain and Sat. rain in the A.M. Holy Crap.;I am going to hide in a closet until Easter. There was a flood warning for tomorrow. I have to go for groceries and must ship some cuttings in the morning. I think God is testing me. Hmmmmmm. Oh well I survived this long, I guess I will make it until the rain stops. Sure will play havok with my sales this week. This is usually a great week to sell cemetery stuff. Today I sold some but I had hoped to do more. I am not complaining, just bitchy....normal for me this time of year. LOL. Love and Hugs to you all. JB See you tomorrow.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

JB.. I would be grouchy too if I had a bunch of stuff to sell and not much sold.. ( I am in sales) ... hugs to you too {{JB}}

Good article on brugs today on home page.

The weather is playing havoc with everyone's plans. Wish I could send some of our warm weather. Going to be hot today then cool way down tomorrow. Supposed to be time for spring planting, but winter just won't go away for a lot of you.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

O.K., line up everyone, time for your morning Hug. If there is no one home, hug yourself. Works for me, except I usually hug the dog. LOL

Got awake about 6 am and the radio was saying severe storms, hail, etc. So,I turned off the radio and tried to go back to sleep. That did not work, so I showered between storms and took a long walk after the rain stopped. The birds are having a blast with the rain bringing up the worms. I love to watch the robins pulling out those big old night crawlers. Turned up the heat in the GH because the temp has dropped since the rain.

Heading for the Post Office to ship some plants. Hope you all have a good day and I will check in later. In all seriousness.....where is AuntB and Karen? Did I miss something or should I not be asking? JB

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

AuntB and Karen have been among the missing for quite a while.

It really was hot today, sorry to all you snow and rain bound members. One of those days when you can barely get yourself moving. Tomorrow it is supposed to cool down so maybe I'll get some yardwork done.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Pegi, do you know if anyone has sent private emails to either AuntB or Karen?

It has stopped raining and the sun is out until noon then more rain or possibly snow ...oh God is not happy with NJ for some reason. LOL Talk Later.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I don't know if anyone has e-mailed AuntB or Karen, and of course my mind doesn't think that far ahead. LOL

The sun is out this morning and I should go and check on my brug. Can't see it from where I am sitting, too much junk in the way. So, that means I better get rid of the junk. Still cold in the midwest and don't know why I want to visit there this time of year. Well, during Easter break is the time my sister can get away as she is raising a grandson. I much rather go to Florida in June with her and visit Disney World. Really, the truth be known I just as soon stay where I am and play in the dirt.

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

I sent to AuntB... have some cannas going to send to her when it warms up for her.. have not heard back. I have no idea where she may be. Getting a little worried also.. it is strange not to hear from either of them.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Please keep us posted if you hear. I did not want to bother her with alot of dmails if someone else has written. She is obviously busy or God forbid, sick. I hope not.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone, I am back from Arizona. We had a wonderful time, but 14 hours on the road driving home, is a long time for one's butt to be sitting down! Glad to be home. No one has any grass in Tucson! All cactus, and gravel!
Not too many flowers, other than some bouganvillea's in bloom, but that is a form of cacti also!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Glad to hear that AuntB is just too busy with her plants. I hope with all her hard work she gets a beautiful garden.

You have been busy Debra! DH put some new top soil and bags of worm castings in my raised bed. Getting it ready for me to start planting when I get home from Minnesota. Haven't left and already deciding what I am going to do when I get back home. I'll be getting my sink ready too for the seeds you sent.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

thats really nice that you are where it is cool to go back home to your warm place.. gotta go.. talk to you later, pray Pauline passes quietly for us all there with her.. Debra

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I'll pray that you all are with Pauline when she passes. I know what her prayers were, going home to Heaven. I experienced that with my mom, she was ready for a long time before God said it was time.

Pegi

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Debra, praying for Pauline to go quietly, but sometimes they seem to wait to be alone to so. Maybe she just wants to be alone for a few minutes to go quietly? My Sister works in a nursing home, and a lot of the patients will wait till all family has gone for the night, and then quietly just go to sleep, and go to heaven.
I pray when it is my Dad's turn, he goes quietly. He goes in today for a heart monitor, because his heart rate is only 40, and it should be more like 60 - 100. he has to wear it for 24 hours, and we get the results Thursday. Dr. wants to put a pacemaker in, but says he will not survive the surgery, so we will just take one day at a time!

LK

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

who is that Dr to say he would not survive the placement of a pacemaker! does he know what he is talking about!? Pacemaker placement is a relatively simple procedure! I have worked in the labs where we placed many. Mild sedation and local anesthetic only is required. Sometimes, barely no sedation has been used if the patient is OK with that. Overnight stay and you are on your way. There are different types of pacemakers that involve longer procedures and require deeper sedation for testing such as automatic defibrilators... those are for other types of heart conditions... a bit riskier procedures but pacemaker implants require only sedation... not general anesthesia.

Also, a heart in the 40's is more common than you may think in a healthy active adult. It depends on how he feels with that rate. If he is active and not dizzy with that rate then it is something to watch but not panic over. If he is weak and dizzy, it is something to look into. My fathers rate is in the 40's a lot.. he is in his 70's and very active.

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Linda, Tammie is correct. My Mom got a pacemaker in her 80's and lived til she was 96.
She was really sick and the procedure was so simple I do not remember her staying overnight. I guess she did. Hmmmmwhere is my memory going? I would get a second opinion. I wore a heart monitor for a few days one time because my EKG was looking goofy. Never did need anything done, just some simple stuff. I was then in my 70s. I am a firm believer of two heads are better than one, unless I can see for myself in writing that the opinion is without a doubt accurate. That seldom happens. LOL Prayers for you all. JB

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I was told he is at risk if we do the pacemaker. I was told it would be an outpatient procedure, but with his heart already low, he would prefer to wait to see if it will rise on it's own.
Yes he is dizzy, and weak all the time lately! He has not been an active person for years, as his strokes left him paralysed on the right side, and can't walk with out a cane, then it is tiny baby steps. it takes him 5 minutes to walk 10 - 15 feet. If he has to walk 20 feet to the bathroom, he gets very winded, and weak. So I get his wheelcahir as close as I can, as it won't fit through the door. Then he walks about 6 feet! But that still makes him very tired. I have an appointment for a heart specialist next week, and will ask for a 2nd opinion!
Thanks for the info.

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

some blood pressure medicines cause a very low heart rate.

Temp is 87 today.. my brugs are back out.. well, at least a couple.. most are staying in the potting shed until this wind is gone.. tired of shredded leaves. I am still very upsed about my three broken babies.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So far, the Dr, has taken him off of Vytorin for cholesterol, Digoxin for his congestive heart failure, the same day it was re-called! His cholesterol level was 76, and his good level was 20.
Sorry to hear about your babies, but they will come back. Take the broken pieces, cut them off smoothly, and stick them in water to root.

LK

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I put 6 brugs outside over night, the temps dipped down to 39.. they are still perky.. ya'all stay safe.. going back to paulines.. *hugs*

Happy Easter everyone!

I got a dmail from Karen, she is fine, just very busy in the garden!

LK

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where is everyone???

LK

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

Hiding! Actually just waiting to see what everyone else posts and watching the grass grow. Planted a few of the new cannas at my mothers yesterday ... dug up some of my mums and transplanted them to my mothers where my father mistakenly pulled hers up. Second time he has done that.. you would think he would learn! I need to thin a few more of my older cannas out to put in the new ones and prep an area for more of them. Pray for more rain. ... and watch things grow... very, very slowly... please rain!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

It is cloudy here today, nice and cool. It sprinkled a bit this morning, but that was it!
We need the rain here too.

Sounds like you are getting a garden going for your Mom, I bet she likes that?

LK

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Hi ladys, sending rain your way.. got to play in the garden today.. still on vacation and having a hard time dodging the rain, but it is all good.. Pauline is still hanging in there as well.. Debra

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

...been storming everywhere but here... all the storms have been forming within site and we have gotten sprinkles only and they move notrh and east of me... waaahhhhh I want rain!

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Linda, Debra, anyone out there. I have been so busy I have not been keeping up with the forum like I should. I was wondering if anyone has heard from Aunt B or Karen? I write B a Dmail and never got an answer. That was 4/10. Usually she is very prompt in replying. I am truly worried and if anyone knows if she is o.k. please let me know. Did something happen I was not aware of, if so, dmail me privately and tell me to shut up.
Hugs. JB
