Ok, I have decided to kill my internet provider...

I need to move our webpages from moms account to mine; mom is canceling hers due to only using the air card. I can't figure out how to do this. Comcast no longer supports ftp. The help person I talked to, over the course of 45 min. told me that he can't tell me how to upload/download files from my webpage hosted by his company.

Good Morning!!! Didn't come on last night, got home from work, ate this awesome T-bone steak Dave grilled, then he went to bed and it was such a beautiful evening I went out and dug weeds until it got dark. The dirt had the perfect moisture to dig really easy, weeds just pulled right out of the ground. Wish I could have done the front flowerbed but the Coreopsis from last year are just starting to come up and I don't want to pull those so I just left it alone.

LK nice picture with Mike, I bet you had a blast!

Love the March Flower Lady!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Thanks for the coffee.
Sounds like everyone is busy, gardening, and moving.

Look what was at the Alamo yesterday. I just wanted to stay there for the beauty, and the wonderful smell! This angel trumpet tree was huge. it was at least 20 feet tall, and just as wide!

Happy St. Patricks day!

Raleigh, NC

Goooooood Morning Y'all! got a great night's sleep.

Happy St. Pat's!

well, I've never been a coffee drinker until this last trip. So Susan, shall I put out for us the Earl Grey, Lemon Lift, Raspberry Royale, or the Constant Comet? LOL been an avid tea drinker since college. We used to have "high tea" on Wednesdays.

since we can't find my digital camera after the trip, and Ruth Jean looked so good last night, Randall stopped at Best Buy and bought a simple digital camera so we could take photos. Then he presented it to her for her birthday (we were just going to give her cash because she hasn't come up with anything so we don't have a clue what she really wants). She was so tickled. I was going to give you photos this morning, but she took it to school with her this morning to take photos of all her best buds.

That photo of BJ and Mike is great. And he's just as sweet as he looks. I love the new haircut for BJ too.

Donna, your generosity in the face of hardship is admirable. Got me to tears. You have to let us know where you move to and stay with us, OK? I have a feeling you're not going to regret giving so much away when you get to a new home up north.....

Did I tell y'all I found a thickening in the leaves of one SDB iris? YIPPEE! a bloomstalk. they haven't bloomed yet for me here. They need a fair amount of cold to bloom. guess that last snow did it.

on my way to AOA aquatics. all you AOA's in here want to join me?

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

LK that angel is beautiful.. I havent ever seen one that big and only wish mine would have gotten bigger last year.. I dont even know if I can grow them in Ohio..

Deborah congrats on your new grand baby.. Always nice t have a lil one around.. Who can resisit those tiny lil toes and fingers.. .

Bon Im a true believer in what comes around goes around.. I know its a hard time for everyone right now and if this is the only way I can help at least we can help one person,, I know what it feels lik eto have a house falling in around you and no means to repair it.. Max did all teh work here but we had to buy when we found things on sale or when we had alittle extra to spare.. Just a shame its ending lik eit is but I know its for the best.. Besides Ohio is a mch better place to raise our chidren away from all the violence here.. Heck my dad still sleeps with his front door hanging wide open.. If I trie dthat here we wouldnt have a pencil left..

Well I went up to the barbershop and told my sister we were going. She wasnt aware of what had been happening and was alittle shocked to say the least.. She only wanted to know why we were going home and not staying here and when I explained she just shook her head... I told her mom had known for afew days and I asked her to let me tell everyne in my own time but that I wanted her to know now so she coul dspend some time with Tony & Tristen if she wanted to before we go.. Even though she hasnt seen them in about 3 months as it is now at least she cant say I didnt give her the opportunity ..

Well gonna go flip the last load of laundry so I can get them folded and into the space bags ..

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning,

I didn't sleep to well last night so I slept until 7:30 this morning. I feel groggy need to go outside where it's crisy cool so I can wake up.

Donna, so glad things are moving along for you. You once you get back to Ohio your gonna have a HUGE sigh of releif.

Can't wait to see pictures of Riley Ashton Williams......................

LK, that angle is huge. Did you get a cutting?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Deborah, congrats on the new Grandbaby! You make sure we get some pictures real soon! We would love to see that new little gardener!
Donna, sounds like things are falling into place with you and family? I know moving is one of the worse things to do, but it sounds like it is "HIS" will for this to happen. Take care please, and please keep us all posted with your new address.
BJ, Hope you had a great imeyesterday. I know Dad and I did! After I left Bj and Mike, they went to the river walk, and Dad and I drove home! We had such a great time! Mike looked like he was really into the history of the Alamo.
Bon, you might call the last hotel you stayed at, and ask if your camera was left in the room? They will mail it to you, if it is there.
On my home yesterday, we had to stop for a potty break, and a car full of young adults, were searching for enough money to get gas, then she ask the worker at the convienence store, if there was a courtesy phone. She had to call her Dad and have him bring some money for Gas, and to tell him she lost a brand new, very expensive cell phone. She was told no free phone service. Well, I gave her my cell phone to use, and also gave her $20.00 for gas. She ask for my address to send the payment back to, and I told her forget about it. I have been in the situation before, and it was my way of paybacks. I got a great big hug, and then was on my way! I could not replace her cell phone, but I hope I helped her out a little.
Need to run, I am waiting for a load of top soil for my new garden area.
Anyone want to come and help shovel??? LOL

LK

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL, No cuttings. There were too many employees in red coats watching everyone. I did get some mountain laurel seed pods for BJ. She had never seen it before, and did not know how sweet it smells.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Saint Patricks Day to everyone!

Congrats, Nana Deb! Pictures soon please!

Raleigh, NC

well, LK, no hotel. I had it out the last few minutes at BJ's and literally flung it and me into the car as I was really really late leaving there. I think I remember seeing it in the rental car and saying to myself, "I've got to remember to grab that." I thought I remembered digging around it in my purse at the airport, for my wallet with my ID. but I can't find it. I'm worried that it was left in the rental car. it was a very pricey camera.

Anyway, Randall says we've taken the first steps in finding it, we've bought a replacement!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Don't have much time this morning...our monthly Church Group Lunch today......a lot of people ailing right now....out of a group of eleven I think there are only going to be four of us today. The Illness and the economy doesn't spare anyone.....we just learned that the Church budget is so tight right now that they are going to have let our Youth Director go....that is hitting hard...Tim is a wonder man, he is fantastic with the kids and has the most beautiful singing voice...I just pray he finds a good position somewhere soon...he is going to be missed a great deal.

New Baby !!!!!! How wonderful !!! Enjoy that little one and give Our love and best wishes to all.

Sounds like everyone is busy today. Have a Beautiful Day!!!! Better run and help mom get lunch on.

Talk to ya later!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have a question about my new garden area. The soil will be about 2 & 1/2 feet deep. Do I need to, or will it hurt to put a heavy plastic liner down first, to prevent weeds from popping up?
I am placing about 20 angel trumpet plants there, if they will fit! I know thay have a good root system, once established, so will the liner hurt the roots?
LK

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

LK-if you want them to get BIG then I wouldn't put the liner down. When they get taller they are more like trees and will need a good root system to hold them and to get enough eater during hard times...IMHO of course

NANA DEB!!! CONGRATS!!!!

Donna-you big sweetie!!! What a heart of gold you have!!

Off to do some errands in a few!!

Raleigh, NC

LK, do you mean under all that soil? how would that prevent weeds?

or atop the soil? and would the roots get enough air and/or too much heat in your climate? I don't know enough about Texas except that hot sun and most of those liners are black.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

yep, I mean under all that dirt. Hubby thinks we need aliner to prevent weeds!
But now that you say that about the heat, and it being black, I will not put it down. I don't want the angels to cook!
Thanks

LK
