Linda Kay, thank you 'sweetie'..I keep thinking how I can enlarge my friendship garden, so many seeds to plant..I'm just excited/excited...should go back into threads about this time in 2008 to see when I started seeds..didn't have luck because I did start weeks before I should have..

Do you all find you have just as much luck planting seeds inground versus starting them indoors..

No, I can't take credit for the card. It was made by Trisha. I have a whole box of cards she made. They are pretty. I am glad you got your card, and love the seeds. There will be more delivered to you, by Stacey, when she comes in for her visit.

Betty have today off and plan on doing more seed starting. Will start some bulbs in containers also. Just fun to do. I started Stargazer Lilies last year and some cannas. Will do the same this year.

Bummer did come so only stayed for a few. We stayed up late.

Back for awhile...those girls sure know how to live Judy, bonfire and all..I miss having fires, all the debris that was showing on my front lawn and back gardens are wet, thought this weekend I'd start picking them up and putting them in the firepit, waited too long, once again they are covered in snow..sure hope they stay covered while Stacey is here...lol...ugliest part of the season...


AnnMarie glad you dinner party went well and especially pleased you'll shortly get your 'breadmaker' catch 22 with it though..each weekend I make bread, tempted to eat it hot so I say 'no/no/no I'll have a slice later' then later comes and I don't eat it because it's cold and out for the birdies it goes...

A lightbox Judy can be used to get better perspective when doing portraits, and if you are doing stained glass..sometimes you use glass not knowing the true colors in it when lit..this way you see it - better for color choice..you know me, I'm a gadget person..I won't purchase the large one, not for the amountof time I'll use it..a 9x10" is fine..if I find I do need a larger one I can purchase another and leave this one in the shop...

How nice for you to spend time with your brother..is Jacob going to school today? speaking of brothers..Bernie gets operated on Friday..opps..Friday the 13th..

Sitting here looking at the packages of seeds LindaKay sent..it's the state flower for Texas...Home Depot has a little (maybe 3' by 6'high) metal frame - cheap in construction..has perhaps 2 or 3 shelves..thinking it might be ideal for me to play around again next month with planting..

Gilli, how wonderful for you to have company on March break, you've not seen them since last fall have you? so much to talk about..will they be doing some shopping for you all - items you can't get up there?

A snowmobile..now won't the children enjoy that..we've always been snowmobiliers..gave my 'mock' to Jeff a few years ago, getting to old to be out in the cold...he put it in as a trade in..now he rides in style...

That's a lot of work Gilli to make bread, but then you know me, not fond of cooking..your March break is earlier than ours..think mine are out starting the 20th..they are all praying for snow so they can enjoy just one more blast of winter re snowmobiling, tubing and skiing..hope so for their sake...

Must tell you, a man just came in, wanted a loan so I explained we are not a finance company, he said his credit was bad..wanted at $4,000 loan..told him again we did not give loans...he wasn't moving..went on to tell me about ex-wife left him with bills, that one of the banks said they'd write off one of his loans because he is on ODPS and pension but neded a letter sent to the collection agency showing his expenses so they might right off his debt..so I listened, just WAS NOT leaving..

Said the bank or finance company would not loan him money, again I said 'sorry, wish I could help you!' still doesn't leave..finally I put Wordperfect on, did a financial report re income/expenses, got him to sign it...my good deed for the day, or was it...now he wants me to 'fax' it..so did that as well, made 2 photocopies and send him on his way, otherwise he'd still be here and I'd have had to take him to lunch...

thanks LindaKay, I've kept in good standing with ex-daughter-in-law..throughout their divorce there was a lot of things I'd like to have said but kept silent..actually her mother wrote me and couldn't understand why I'd sit idly by and not try to have them work on their marriage...Jeff no longer talks to his ex-MIL but I still have a nice relationship with Lisa..goes to show you..

Wasn't sure about getting her boys because it's Easter and her family do so many religious activities..she told me she knew they'd have a wonderful time and thought it was great..she did think I was off the wall taking all 4 of them..ages 10-11-12 and 13, but tubby you are right they are great for me..of course they know if they misbehave the car can turn around for home just as quickly as we started out for a fun time...you have no idea how I'm looking forward to this..

Managed to pick up Stacey's rag quilt scissors and sewing box, then a few for me...girls who painted here today asked Darlene to call me as I had left her 'goodies' and wanted me to see if there were more...yep, got 7 pairs tonight a a few more boxes...because I was such a good customer...lol...got anothere 'sewing is my bag' bag...

Going to put the floorcloth back on the tables in hopes it settles and I can give a few coats of varnish tonight, other than that, jammies here I come.

Betty it couldn't thaw ..Might have gotten colder in the fridg..I have small light fixture in refrigerator in shop so pop wont freeze It's ME that's defrosting LOL Must be the wind that made it cool down in the house so quick..That doggie door don't help..They aren't very good against the wind..I'm going to have to build a little shelter around it on the outside..LOL

BEST: Beautiful Day in Baton Rouge LA today. I got to watch DS win his Tennis Match (on his 17th bday!) Rushed home and warmed up a home-made Lasagna, his Norwegian Girlfriend(s) (ask!) came over, dinner, American Idol.

Worst: Indy (14? yr old greyhound) is probably on his way out - prob's with both ends, on the carpet...Don't know how long DH will put up with this....

What I learned: When applying for the ACT exam...make sure your student is in the room...better yet - make your student DO the online application!

Well - DS has been "dating" the Norwegian exchange student, Line (Pronounced, Lina)....but Line has a friend that has come to visit her for 2-3 weeks from Norway, Katrina. :) (Yes - she is VERY tired of being compared around here to the devastating hurricane of 2005!).

SO DS understands that everywhere Line goes, as of late, Katrina should go as well....

SO DS Basically has 2 "girlfriends" as of now...he has to bring Line with Katrina... :)

I think Katrina goes back to Norway in a few weeks.....but until then... :)

Morning....you got me laughing Mary, when a teen I had a boyfriend Justin, his friend Don went everywhere we went..such a drag at the time...finally in order to get rid of Don I had to rid myself of Justin..lol

Thought it was going to be an early to bed evening, no sooner did I get something in my tummy did I get a call from Noah asking if he could come over and do his homework with me..it was a french project and as grandma Betty is french well it stands to reason I'd be the one to visit..

Melanie was running late from the 'jewelery home party' her friend was having, so Greg and Kyle came over to pick him up then off they went, by then it was 9:30 and my bedtime..

Just to funny..told the boys about Caleb and Braedon coming with us, Noah is 11..I'm saying to him 'Aunt Lisa thinks I've totally lost it taking you for on a trip, thinks it's too much for me' so Noah says 'grandma she probably thinks we're still young children, doesn't know we've mature and not likely to be pushing and yelling..'

kids who think they are almost adults they are...lol

Shouldn't have trouble with time change but for some reason my early morning I try to get an extra hour or so sleeping then have to rush like the dickens to get out of here by 8am...best I get a move on..

Greg gave me a terrific idea last night..we were talking about my trip with grandchildren, said he can't remember ever doing that with my or Roger's parents and what memories these kids will have when they become adults..

Brain was ticking, will do each of them a photo album, go back through the past years on our outings together, just me and the boys...I've 5 years of 'outings' then each year coming up I'll just do 'scrapbooking' sheets for them to add...so excited about that...

LOL, yesterday was in the high 60's today it's 17!! I think we are to get socked with a snow storm too, woohoo last one i hope.

So my brother came back yesterday early evening so we enjoyed a wonderful visit longer. He went home now, lol was telling him about calling the police on Steve for not calling, lolol he promised to call when he got home. We had a good laugh over it and he said he didn't want the state troopers banging on his door.

Well, today is is going to be slow so guess it will be laundry, oh great joy!
