Betty, wonderful (!!!) eyes...dont know why you are nervous about this class...you have great artistic talent!
Mary, fremont is about 35 min south of San Francisco ...right on the bay. oh and my kids...lolol! well DH and I have 8 kids all together... Kody is 12, Colleen is 15, Sabrina is 19 (has 1 yo DGS), Alesha is 20, Patrick is 20, Megan is 21, Keith is 21, ^_^ and YES !! Eight is definitely ENOUGH! teehee! I already did years and years of boyscouts/girlscouts, ballet soccer, baseball, football, and karate.... so poor Kody...I'm just too worn out, old and forgetful now!
Had a nice time tonight...plenty of Lemon birthday cake left over for you milk drinkers on the night shift :o) took lots of pix, but being lazy right now and dont wanna wait for them to download teehee....may download them later tonight if I can keep my eyeballs open long enough! lol!
Best/Worse/What did I learnt today...visit with friends #91
Sharran, the fire looks good......it is snowing again here.....
DH just got home, I need to get Sage to bed and get our dinner.....
So Trisha you got Laura moved and you need a rest.
Judy your brother is coming.
Anjl has 8 kids...
Mary has an old resume...
Now what did I miss???
Somewhere up there my first fire picture got lost in the shuffle of posts, but I thought the shape of that first one was really interesting. Looked like a dancer.
Hello To All;
Sharran - your pics warmed me up! (DH has AC going on HIGH after highs in the 80's today)....
LOVE a bonfire with Smores! Seems like I had to "explain" smores on this blog a few months ago.....learned about them in girlscouts but we have them often....the girls love them... :)
I just yelled to DH (snoozing on couch) "Can we have a bonfire for DS's bday party"? With Smores of course :) !!!
Trisha - SO glad you have that done! Now you can come back and gab with us. :)
Anjl - do you have a couple sets of twins? Do you have "His" and "Hers"? I know - I get asked that..they are all "ours" but yes some are "his" and some are "hers" technically. :)
It's been ages since I've been on DG. Things have been very hectic around here. It's so neat to see how spring is coming for some. We just bought a snowmobile today. We've been wanting one for a while and I noticed that the store was having a mid-season clearance so we got a pretty good price. We should get at least another month, possibly more of being able to use it this year. One of our friends has a sled that we can use too so we can go to the bush and bring back some firewood and tipi poles. Three of our poles broke last winter.
My parents are going to be coming up on Friday for the March Break. They'll be bringing my brother's 2 daughters as well as my brother's girlfriend's 2 daughters. I'm really looking forward to having them visit. It will probably be a bit crazy here with all the people but it should be fun.
Actually, I am not fond of the graham crackers...but man o man, I love chocolate.
It was fun, and I don't have any family here, but they always make me feel like a part of theirs. I had their 2 granddaughters in class, and now the one granddaughter has a daughter of her own, so the whole family has adopted me.
I am so glad Trisha, that you are through with that move. I know everybody else is too.
Mary, could you have a pool/bonfire?? Or just one or the other?
Sharran I am so jealous! wish we could have a fire here and roast marshmallows! lol! best we could do is one of those fire pits from Walmart...but they just dont seem that safe to me.
Crissy I a just like you when it comes to storms...your lucky to have a neighbor thats willing to adut sit...when DH is gone I just have my teacup poodle and he's more frightened than me! lolol!
Trisha, bet your HAPPY that the move is over! Moms down here visiting me, said it ws snowing when she left...then gets to CA and its 68* and sunny here lolol! said she had to borrow tshirts fro me cause she only brought warm clothes.
betty I love the night garden! very pretty... wish my yard was bigger so I could do more garden settings lol!
Oh Gilli, hi.....sounds so much fun, and your kids will have such a good time. How is my little artist?
haha mary, no twins..thankfully! 4 are his (patrick, colleen, megan and ryan) and 4 are mine (Keith, Sabrina, Alesha (foster daughter) and Kody. so funny that we wound up with 4 boys n 4 girls...all our friends call us the Bailey Bunch lolol!
It's almost 11, Mary, g'nite....and have a good day tomorrow.
Hello To All;
Anjl - The Bailey Bunch - I LOVE it :). I see a lot of Irish names in there....Foster Daughter...I would consider that in the future...do you have info on how that works.? I would have to free up a room though, which would mean, someone would move out - possibly to go to college....
Ya'll must have an incredibly HUGE house....
Sharran - DH is the "Trash Pirate" of the century...he found us a Fire PIt (in someone's trash) a long time ago and it has been a joy for the family....for Smores, "End of School Year Assignment" burning etc.
Friday night, weather permitting, we could heat up the pool and spa, and light up the Fire PIt and have Smores....it would be a hit with the kids and a great 17th bday party...but I am concerned about possible rain for Friday so I'll keep you posted on that... :)
Gilli - I have visited Windsor before....a million years ago......You have a BIG party planned! How FUn!
Thank you Sharran - Yes Strict 11pm curfew...Gotta run...Goodnight to all - back again tomorrow :)
g'nite mary :o) sleep tight.
no, not a big house...4 bedroom ranch home, but dH built a 9' x 16' gym/studio in the backyard and Keith will stay there when he comes home. we only have 3 at home right now. Kody, Colleen and Patrick, but both Megan and Keith will be coming back home soon. They are all used to sharing rooms... funny how they cant wait to move out..toget their own rooms etc...then after paying rent for a while they are more than willing to come home and share a room AND pay rent here teehee!
Good night Mary...
That was my thought on the first fire picture Sharran, a dancer.....
Smores, haven't had those in ages.....Sage has fits if I mention camping....don't know what kind of stories her mother has told her...bet if I tell her about Smores she would be a lot more interested....she is a complete sugar addict!!
Gillian, glad to see you back, we have missed you....new Snow Mobile that should be fun!!
The Bailey Bunch... I like it!!!
Betty cool garden Are you able to see it from your back porch.By secret dose that mean out of view ? When your doing spring cleaning maybe you can take camera with for a close up..LOL
Ah Smores..Last time we did that with GKs from Wis..The mosquitoes were vicious ..We managed to get a couple eaten ..Not me ..No marshmallows..Yuck..Graham cracker & chocolate.yes..
Today I start my Tomatoes & peppers & eggplant..Never use to care for eggplant..Sorry Mom ..Didn't like the way Mom fixed it...Kinda like green tomatoes..It depends on how they are prepared
Little Johnny blows up his balloon and starts flicking it all around the house with his finger. His mother tells him to stop it as he's liable to break something.
He continues. "Johnny!" she screams. "Knock it off. You're going to break something." He stops and eventually mom leaves for a short trip to the store.
Johnny starts up with the balloon again. He gives it one last flick and it lands in the toilet.
Mom comes in and while putting away the groceries gets the urge. A diarrhea run. She can hardly make it to the toilet in time and SPLASH, out it comes.
When she's finished she looks down and can't believe what she's seeing. Diarrhea everywhere! She's not sure what this big brown thing is in the toilet! She calls her doctor.
The doctor is baffled as she describes the situation, but he assures her he'll be over shortly to examine everything.
When he arrives she leads him to the bathroom and he gets down on his knees and takes a long, hard look at the thing. Finally, he takes out his pen and sort of touches it to see what it might be and POP! The balloon explodes and diarrhea is everywhere. On him, the walls, etc. "Doctor! Doctor! Are you alright?" she asks.
He says, "I've been in this business for over 30 years, and this is the first time I've ever seen a Fart!"
Slept in, running late, animals to feed, garbage day..yuk, never sleep in..guess the time change..did get to read all your posts..omg smores/camp fire, cake...wow, you girls know how to live..
Not sure I'll have my computer today, drats if I don't because everyone is in today so I'll just be sitting around..nothing planned for this evening other than picking up things for Stacey at Fabricland..then home for I guess a relaxing day..
That garden photo was taken late May..not it's best..all changed now
Tubby this area hides a 'secret room' our Carol has the 'secret garden'
OMG I'm back on-line - oh happy days!
After I posted last night I noticed all the posts made while I was reading the thread.
Shar, the fire sounds like fun. I'm glad you had a good time. S'mores are a big favourite here. We also love banana boats - banana, chocolate and marshmallows, mmmmm.
Trisha, it's nice to see that Laura's all moved out now. We moved every year for the first 6 years we were married and I hated it. I'm so glad we've been able to stay in the same place for the past 4 years. We keep contemplating moving again but we're still pretty happy here so we're not in a huge rush.
It's so quiet here today. I'm not babysitting at all today. I hardly know what to do with myself. I guess I'll have to get things organized for when our big group arrives on Friday. I'm also making bread. I've started to grind my own wheat and use that for bread. I bought a Bosch mixer just after Christmas so it makes things so easy. I guess a good place to start for the day would be breakfast. I'm off.

Good One No Joke
Hands!
! A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million.
It depends on whose hands it's in.
A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.
It depends whose hands it's in.
A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon..
It depends whose hands it's in.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands.
It depends whose hands it's in.
Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will
Produce salvation for the entire world.
It depends whose hands it's in.
As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in.
So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...
It depends whose hands it's in.

MOVING US OVER...
****************
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/961312/
Oh Anjl, you think your in storms until you move back here. In Modesto I was deathly afraid of just thunder in the distance, not any more! Just the tornadoes. You don't know what a thunderstorm is until you're in one back here. California doesn't get storms. And my cat isn't even afraid of them anymore. There's a big difference between a thunderstorm and a severe thunderstorm, big difference.
And don't get me wrong, they don't happen that often, more often than in CA of course, but not that often. There's a reason it's so green and pretty here.
Great bonfire! I love smores.
Well, lots to do at work today, so I'll see ya'll later!
Have a great day everyone!!
This is very good & funny & SAFE
Giving Up Wine

I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.
I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy wine with it instead of dinner?'
'No, I had to stop drinking years ago', the homeless woman told me.
'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked.
'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.'
'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.
'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!'
'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'
The homeless woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.'
I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine.'
Edited Had to delete the or else it was a stupid or else
