Good Morning!
Sounds wonderfully full of Spring Cheer!
So glad BJ and Bonnie had such a grand visit.
I am really very happy to, finally over whatever i had, which I think was winter and getting older ickolas! LOL.
Anyway, Having Coffee out on the deck this morniong.
Worked in the yard yesterday and well, isn't it marvelous to stand outside in the dark and not be freezing.
Went to an orientation yesterday about searching for a job. Yikes, couldn't sell myself about working...
but ask me about my play time and i'll sell my fun all over the place! LOLOL.
Making Omelletes for breakfast, anyone want some?
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞110
Of course LK will be at BJ's in MAy!!
Donna-you had me crackin up with the white legs comment-I pictured 2 dogs salivating like in the cartoons picturing your legs as milkbones!!LOL
Jaye-oh, Napa is so much more than the wine-it truly is!! It is beautiful, very temperate and has a sense of peace as you drive through the hills....
I am still debating on the fabric-I do love what I picked out-might get a couple peices-not sure yet...there are a couple 1/2 yd sections that I would just love and the black with the snails ond toadstools-but there are 2 butter ones I am trying to decide between.....maybe some of you can help me...

This next one almost has a batik feel to the colors of the butters...

Like the one by Timeless Treasure, niece. Anything with gold accent appeals to these old eyes!!
Someone say English muffins with cheese?? Me too LK!!! Never had muffins and cheese.. always some sugar free preserves or plain butter. Yummm..
Good day ladies!!
Judy, I'm laughing away when you say you can sell yourself when it comes to hobbies!!! Of course, leisure activities sound much nicer than 'occupation' :D So glad to see you're getting better.
Cookie, it must be a great relief for you and your family that your Mum's regaining her strength.
Bonnie, I am sure your girlfriend misses you by now. Is she getting any other support?
Donna and BJ, as much as I love you both, I don't want to be your shadow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will be spinning around not used to so much activity!!!
Well.. talk about senility.. I think I lost a day this week!! Argued with Kel that today is Thursday until he reminded me that CSI plays only on Thursday, and we watched it last night!!! When I get busy--- real busy--not only do I lose track of time, now it seems a whole day too!!!
Have a productive day!
Hi All.. I'm still painting, so this will be a quickie... I just want to know the date of the get together in May at BJ's...
Prayers for all who need them...Hopefully I can catch up later on...
Dusty, it will be Memorial weekend.. hope you can make it!
Okay.. That is where we have a problem....It it the actual Memorial day of May 30th? or the weekend of the one the Govt decided to celebrate on Monday the 25th, which would make it the 23rd and 24th??
Good question there Dusty. Got to be the weekend of 23rd and 24th. BJ, can you confirm this?
Dusty, what are you painting? Anything we can look at?
Hey Jaye, how did you like the english muffins? I like them with cheese whiz, but a good sharp cheddar is good also!
Bj, please tell us which week-end please?
LK
Hello Ladies,
Well what a few days... I have been nursing my sons dog who ate a golf glove.. This is not the first time she has eaten something and had problems with it... This time we really thought she was going to have to have surgery to get it out... But my boss was going out of town and I took her to my home... There I have been watching her and packing her gut with chicken and rice... Well my son said she kept looking like she could not find a spot to go so that is why I got her... She was not out of the car 2 mins. when she found her spot and thank god she passed the glove.... So now it was just a wait and she how she was.... I am happy to say there is no more blood and she is playing and acting like herself again.... She has a thing for leather... Oh I do want you all to know if she got worse while my boss was away she would have had surgery at another clinic... We had surgery scheduled for Friday... today... but this dogs gut must be made out of cast iron... It is also not the dogs fault that the parents don't pick up after themselves... Or they should keep her in her kennel while they are not there... Ok that's my story and I'm sticking to it...LOL
I have also been getting stress attacks and I have not had these in a long time.... They come then they go... I hate that... If it continues I will have to call the doctor.... Ok going outside to play in the yard....
Hugs,
Susan
Susan, so glad to hear that the dog passed the glove. That could have been pretty serious!
Please take care of yourself, and don't go missing on us!
LK
Yep, I second that LK.. don't go missing on us, no matter what size stress you have.. be it golf ball or the world globe!!!!
Now you're talking LK. A good sharp English cheddar. I can snack on it...
Gonna look for an easy pattern for one of the Jelly Rolls. Already cut strips truly save a lot of time.
So you are going from the pink to the green? I like the green one better. Just my opinion. Looks like you are staying busy!
Don't over do it.
LK
So, you have indeed progress to a better colour Dusty!! :D
LOL LK... That ain't pink honey...Just looks that way.. it is a sand beige, and yes it has gone to green...but I was painting the woodwork white... it was the same color as the walls, but that would have been horrid with the green...I did the dining and living rooms last week, and the 3 halls this week...I just finished cutting in the back hallway, and am about to go roll it...I had to fly to the store real quick before the rains come and get butter and milk...
I will try for a pic later when I finish... ^_^
I just talked to Bj, she said the week end get together is the week end of the 23rd, and 24th of May. Hope that does not throw any kinks in anyones plans!
I will see you there.
LK
Stacey, it doesn't say how much material. Is it a yd or what? I like the second one best but you know you and I don't always agree.
This morning when I got up, Shadow had been sick in the dining room. She had tried to eat some of the material from your black and white sun dress! Why, I have no idea, but she got into the wastebasket that held all of my sewing scraps and got it out of there.
We have 58 degrees here!! Wish I could be out in it but between cleaning, income tax, and quilt blocks I have lots to keep me busy this weekend.
Janice, I like the second one too. The seller sells it by the yard.
It's warming up to the 60's here.
I'm glad that's on a 3 day weekend, I might be able to make it if I throw in going to see Dave's favorite cousin! Yay!!
Let me guess what most of you are doing..
Maid M.. busy, busy, busy, organizing and editing ..
BJ... probably decided it's cheaper to hire someone to do the walkway
Sis Kathy... taking care of Hurricane Pam
Phyllis... throwing up her feet and wondering what tree to cut down next!
Cindy.... roping in Rick or at Curves
Trisha... busy with Sage
Kim... fingers stuck on jeans :D
Cody... chasing Alex
Deborah... crocheting something for Riley
Debra.....finishing the backing to her quilt
Donna... still adding stuffs to her to do list (Wonderwoman)
Synda.... wake up Synda!! Time for some LOL!!
Got a few errands to run... see me later!!
BJ, your home was pristine compared to mine. we haven't renovated this older house because I DON'T LIKE IT. besides, I live poolside or in the iris garden. and when I'm not sleep deprived and super excited, I actually listen to people when they talk.
the last time I traveled was to the Willamette Valley during iris season. 2600 miles on a rental car in 10 days. the Dallas run was a lark. Been there changing planes maybe 40 times, never saw outside the airport before Tuesday! Texas was still on my "never been there" list until this trip. You can tell Mike that Austria is on my list to see, too.
Phyllis, you won't get me outside my iris garden in May! but if I have to go back, will definitely schedule something. July is iris harvest/planting time, but that's likely a time I'll get called.
Jaye, my friend has a strong, loving church in San Antonio giving them great support. They've made wonderful friends of a retired Navy chaplain, too. As care giver, Roy needs help and prayer. Since he's now employed and getting a break during the day from being with her, hopefully life will now settle calmly down. They will be here in court in April, so I'll be able to get a read on how they are doing. Will go with them to provide a calming support so she doesn't get un-nerved by the courtroom. See? the Lord works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Been in so many courtrooms, I'm complacent!
here's a photo BJ of my "back slope" which I need to terrace. that "garage" is built like a pole barn, on stilts in the back, on the ground in the front. that's my plant shed way down the hill. it's my version of the Stairmaster!

Just popping in for a sec...
Jaye... I've been going around in circles too... that happens when you have too many projects going at the same time... seems I pop from one to another...
Then I had to help Don with the lake pump... I sat on the dock to hand him tools, while he stood in the water wearing waders and replaced the PVC pipes and attached them them to the dock. After all that... it still doesn't work... so now, he's taking the pump apart... looks like we're going to have to replace a pump... ugh.
The price was right for our neighbor's crew to lay the pavers... but we're going to excavate to save a full day's labor... I have a skid loader reserved for Sat & Sun. I think we should be able to get it done in that time. Then, they're going to lay the pavers on Tuesday... should do it all in one day. It'll be done in a basket weave design.
YIPPIE !!!
Yep... Memorial day is usually observed by everyone when the govt observes it... so I was planning on the weekend of the 23rd. Hope that's good for everyone.
Better get started on supper... have no idea what it's going to be tonight... how do I forget that we're going to eat tonight? I have nothing thawed.
Aww dang it ... Third time in a row I have lost my post.. Doing this in short spurts.. lol
Jaye.. You are too funny but right always adding to the never done list but Im no Wonderwomen..
BJ sorry to hear about your pump giving you fits. .Sound sliek around here one thing almost complete and then BAM something else happend.. lol
"" People tell me I have ADHD but I --- O look a pretty flower.. """ LOL
Bonnie I love your shed even if i is one a hillside.. I miss hills and rocks OO how I miss rocks..
Been up to North Bend for Lunch you can tell from the picture that it is a really ugly place...
I am at the eye doctor with mom now, we are taking MIL, Laura and Sage to dinner, then helping Laura at the old house. Not sure how much time I will get for the computer tonight...at least until all of you are in bed.
Have a good night ladies...
LK so glad you are happy wit hyour gardenias.. As far as rooting they do very well in mist as softwood cuttings and will do well if you greenhouse effect the cuttings with an upside down 2 liter without mist.. for teh most part pretty easy but getting the right cut can be a pain the ***.. lol
Stacey.. ROFL Never thought of the puppies thinking of milk bones.. Grin :)
Trisha Im in awww. > How beautiful .. Try not to over do it too much..
Huggs
Well I think Im done outside for the day finally.. Now on to the house since I have been on indoor strike..
Spent the day outside again and it felt great.. I transplanted my baby red Buckeye tree, Divided down all my society garlic, moved to clumps of Heavenly bamboo, helped Max clean the fenceline..
The lady that came to buy plants is comming back for another trip later next week.. She said her husband only allows so much each week on her gardening and she blew it here. lol We got along great!
Went to Lowes and got 2 bags of open much for half price so I can cover over a grow bed in the back nursery area.. I also splurged and got 2 bue delphiniums.. Never grew them but they are sure pretty.. Worth a shot at least once..
HI All, just thought I'd drop a note I'm resting as I had a colonoscopy this morning. Was told to just rest and not do anything. But my mom called so while I talked to her thought I'd drop a note. ^_^
Hmmm... Don took the filter off the end of the PVC that suspends in the lake, so that it doesn't suck up lake debris... and WALAH !!!... the pump works... he thinks it was just the filter flap inside the hose that quit working... (WHEW) that's cheap to replace compared to the pump. So, he's gone back to Lowes... this was a 3 Lowes visits day.
Tell you what, Trisha... you just drive me up to that ugly place and drop me off... don't come back to get me.
Sounds funny to have the sprinklers going in the dark... LOL... but it sounds good too.
I will stay there with you BJ. Tiger Mountain and the Snoqualmie Falls area are soooo beautiful any time of year but the fresh coat of snow last night is just icing on the cake!
http://www.snoqualmiefalls.com/cgi-bin/p/db.cgi?db=default&uid=default&sb=0&so=descend&Include=Y&view_records=1
Woo Hoo... Don just brought me the filter and showed me how it works... and let me know all it needed was a bolt that keeps the flap from floating all the way to the end... it must have fallen out and gone to the bottom of the lake ... HEHEHE... A BOLT !!!! And it took all day to find that problem... All together now... SHEESH !!!
He didn't get the bridge finished though... and he's a bit sad about that...
He has to go back to work tomorrow... and won't get another chance to work on it for a while.
BUT, The plants will love him for it... and so does his wife.
What a beautiful place, Trisha... I think I could bring myself to live there.
Oh my Trisha-I am soo surprised your camera didn't break at all that ugliness!!LOL
Awww-BJ-how sweet that Don took care of it for you:) I swear, I have to get mad and yell at my DH sometimes to get him the heck up outta his recliner!! Then other times he is a little ball of energy and does things w/o even asking:) I won't even tell you the stupid thing I have been after him for 3 weeks to do-a tiny thing-of his doing-and the ONLY thing I have asked of him since I have been off-I have taken care of everything else...
Mom-yes-BTY is how it is sold-I think that the snail pattern is at The Door Mouse, so will hold off on that-if not, found a few places online to get it.....
Mom-maybe if that was the only one because I had it on so many times, it has my scent?? Why she wants to eat me thought is beyond me;)
You are just too sweet Niece!!!!
Bonnie, as long as your friends 'keep the faith'.. Proverbs 3: 5-6 comes to my mind.
Pristine is a rare adjective for this house here! Only one regular visitor, a church sister, who doesn't mind stepping over ripped boards.. or an ailing dog..
Trisha, that's a lovely scenery. We were just saying how we'd love to retire in Washington, for such a view..
Cindy, hope you get good results on your colonoscopy. Doctor wanted me to do one, but I think I'll put it off for as long as I can.. :(
Donna, there are a few plants that I'd like to have in my yard. Delphinums are one of them. They are so elegant, when in bloom.
Sheeesh... a bolt!!!! Wow.. could have had a V8!!! Lolol!!! Well at least you're married to a problem solver!!! BJ, that pathway will be classy looking. Love basketweave.
There has been an increase in robbery in this area. Nope.. not due to the lack of jobs, but more to an increase in drug addictions!! They are getting pretty brazen, robbing in bright daylights. Most of the victims are related to the perps.
So, tonight we installed more security cameras for our area. We hooked one up on the back porch where the outdoors cats and possum are fed. Talk about fun, watching their antics on telly!!
That's the hightlight of our evening!!
ooooooooooooooo Bonnie you shouldn't have said Iris' beds...I ghave a list of ones my grandma had in her flower garden and someday I hope to find them all and plant them in a garden in her memory as it was her that got me started as a young child in gardening
Hi everyone!!!Just got back from eating at Lakewood Inn.
Jaye, alex is at his dad's house visiting him.
I have not been on because i'm trying to Spring clean YUCKKKKKK.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their day.
Just popping in before I go fall down..
Everything is quiet , the house is still a mess and I dont care.. lol My mom is begging for us to drive down for a plant sale near here and to bring Bella along so we will see how my morning plays out. She also said she wanted to go tanning so maybe a afternoon visit .. I dunno
BJ YIPPPEE so glad it was only a BOLT.. lol Your DH sounds alot like mine when hes ot working.. Max is always working on something.. We have way to many open ended projects and I told him no new ones until we button up a few things..
Jaye any advice on the Delphinums ? I just thought they were lovely and when I saw that there were 3 plants per pot I bought 2.. I shouldnt have but I did.. I admit I have a problem with my plant addiction.. So pretty any advice on babying them?
O Phyllis how sweet.. I wish I had iris to send you for your memory garden.. I love gardens planted with a story behind them and even better is telling people where each plant came from and what it means to you.. My mom says I get all giddy and smile bigger when I talk plants..
Still lovin that mountain view... Makes me really want a vacation..
Donna, I thought I'd learn from you!!! Well, I'll just find me some and we'll compare notes. I think they're heavy feeders and if they are of the same family as larkspurs, they must like full sun.
I think we are all addicted to plants here! Likewise, my facial muscles will be so intense when I talk of flowers.. growing veges!!!
Phyllis, Bonnie is the queen of iris. Maybe we can do something about your grandma's memory garden.
Hiya Cody. Not too often you and Rob eat out without Alex. Must be pretty relaxing just the two of you.
Looks like it's bedtime.. Kel's snoring in the recliner already.. so what's new in the Buffkin's house around this time!!!
Good night ladies.. sweet dreams..
Hey Jaye,no not that often, only 2 times a month.I miss him when he is not with me.I guess it is to quit when he is gone.I have to keep busy when he is gone so time will fly so he can come home.
Well good night and take care.Love ya!!!
