they do have very pretty eyes
Mid Atlantic gardens not complete without our furry pals
it is a challenge getting cats, blanket and lighting all to cooperate! Good job
Wow - lots of beautiful pictures!
These are actually not purebred Siamese... they are mixed! They are beauties though and I love them! Both came from shelters, and are not even related! I had had another mixed Siamese (seal) that was adopted from the shelter, and when he passed away suddenly at age 10, I knew where I would go again when the time was right. I could only adopt Skye if her litter brother was adopted with her, so to get her I also got him! But he to is a love and I wouldn't trade him for the world. When I found Remy on-line, they were waiting for her to get big enough to spay, and I was like #5 in line on the waiting list! However, it was around Christmas time, and one by one, everyone else on the list gave up waiting to adopt another animal, so when she became available, I was there waiting on her!
This is Virgil, who must have the genes in there somewhere! He's still a handsome fella though!
Wow, here's some awesome cats!! Norman, Gus,, Sammy & the Siamese sisters. I used to be a cat lover when I was a kid, but I only liked Siamese cats as they were more loayal like a dog, and didn't run and hide under the bed when people came over. They would rub up against your legs when you came into the house. I had two twin brothers, named Jotumato and Balibali. Those were Japanese for 'Hurry Up!! (bali bali) and Jo tu mato (just a minute), per my dad, who spent a year in Japan. Not sure that is the correct spelling, but it was how we pronounced their names.
Ok...let me first say my outspoken butt would chastise folks for letting kids use dogs as horses - I don't believe it's a good idea esp with hip issues etc. (notice please, Makwa is laying down) I've always stood firm that it's not just the dogs but the little ones that need to be educated right from wrong when living with each other. I truly believe that would alleviate many bites. That being said I also like to educate folks that WHEN raised correctly, even the breeds with the bad reps, can make wonderful family companions. So instead of correcting Chloe immediately - I grabbed the camera beside me and snapped the photo....not a good photo from a photography standpoint but to back what I said above - notice 50 lb Makwa continues chomping on his bone while Chloe (less then 1/2 his weight and despite knowing better) pretends he's a horse. Dont' get me wrong if Baby (my younger Rott) had come by him w/his bone he would've growled at her - I've heard him do it...but he, even at his young age, knows the difference between a toddler and another dog.
Makes you proud, doesn't it, Diane?? Your baby threw pups w/great temperaments!!!

Friend sent me and E-mail pic. With warning about not leaving small children alone with breeds that had bad reputations. Included was a pic of what might happen if you do. The pic was of this white Pit Bull and a little boy. The Pit Bull was laying on his side with chalk or crayon designs all over him and the child sitting there holding one in his hand. Might have been staged but it was a really cute pic.
Hey I just saw my first Blue Bird as I was sitting here typing. I so love that I can watch my bird feeders while on the computer.
Such gorgeous furry friends! I love them all! I need to post a picture of Ginger....when I get home.
Chantell: The picture of Chloe "riding" Makwa is sooo cute! You've got to put that picture in your scrapbook!
OMG LOOK at that pitiful face....sooo handsome though!!! Is that a pony saddle?
Is he mortified er wha'? Such cruelty, I tell ya... =)
Yep, it's a zillion yr old itty bitty pony saddle.
LOL Well despite his ear position - the tail isn't completely curled beneath his belly so he "might" forgive you...
Poor dane baby!!!
Shame on you Wrightie!
;o)
Since there is no girth for the saddle, he had to remain motionless for the photo in order to keep the saddle from falling off. Weeeel, right before that pic' was snapped, the saddle had indeed fallen off, so from that point forward he reluctantly put up with my Dumb People Trix, but made it clear with his body language that he was *not* diggin' my idea of humor ... heh
He was well rewarded for his Patience & Bravery!
I'm hoping a T-bone...LOL
You know she's just plotting how/when to pee in your shoe - right? LOL
or the other... LOL
she does that with the blankets... sometimes just a nose sticking out.... we call her Mother Teressa
Awww Amber went out with us years ago dressed like a pumpkin...LOL So not pleased with me. They don't always have costumes that size so I got one of those head bands (w/a pumpkin on top) and then got one of those hunting neck warmers (bright orange)...oh yeah she was thrilled....cough, cough
Chantell, that's adorable. I just can't get over how much Makwa looks like his mama. It's good to know her babies are such sweetie pies too.
Wrightie, the saddle photo is hilarious and mainly because he looks sooo disgusted. LOL
Onewish, I think Lily is thinking, "If I was a Great Dane, right now you'd be in BIG trouble." And in the last one, I think it's, "Please, God. Make me a Great Dane. Right this minute."
I just finished crocheting Jello an Easter suit (aka sweater.) I need to get some photos of her in it to show you all. Java loved getting dressed up, all you had to do is tell her she looked pretty and she'd be prancing around all proud. Jello isn't so sure about this sweater business.
they are ok with the coats... the hats only stayed on a few mins for the pictures
Those poor poochies!
Here's my nephews new pup.
One of those hybrid mixes yorkie/west highland.

oh how cute.... male or female Jen?
They are cute little things. I saw a real cute one the other day a Pug / Jack-Russel cross.
my co worker and I always joke we are going to breed my yorkie and his pug... and make porkies
I'm just teasing you, Onewish. My dog I had for years was half half pug and half poodle so I told everyone she was a puddle. She was a really funny looking dog with buggy eyes, short hair and a curly tail like a pug but longer legs and a longer snout like a poodle.
I told one little kid she was half pug and he said, in astonishment, "Half pig?!" LOL
LOL... that's cute... my dad will only have snoodles now... schnauzer and poodle mix
both came from the pound... and after the first one was so great... he will have nothing else
my sister picked up our third in the family now... all great dogs
male.... his name is Chewie
aaawwwww
OMG just LOOK at them...sweet babies...how much do they weigh?
Between 15 to 18 lbs, I can tuck one under each arm and off I go LOL
You too? (ROTFLOL)
Awww, they're so cute, Chris! What kind of dogs are they?
They are so cute LadyG. Bubbles was just outside helping me weed. Can't do anything out in the yard without her sticking her tail in my face. LOL
BTW Hart, I got 3 chicks for Easter. My son Jamie and his wife started raising them last year and thought I might like a couple, they said if I get tired of them I can give them back. We used to have them years ago and I kept thinking about getting them, then last year Jamie started. When they got more chicks this year they got a couple extra for me. This shot is pretty good of 2 of them. Ones a Barred Rock, one of my favs. There is an Orpington I think and a Partridge Cochin smaller than the ones in my picture.
Ahhhhh!! And isn't chicken poo good for plants?
