Oh Tante-I love the rooster quilt even though I am scared of brids-I think the colors in it and the patterns are so pretty!! Thanks for the fritters-my fave!!

I woke up this morning with my back killing me and a headache the size of TX!! I took some ibuprofen and am sure I will be good as new after they kick in-maybe a hot bath too....

Deb-sure I will take some and see what I can turn them into:)

No bruise yet but it is puffy and sore......grrrrr dang dog just had to go get her fanny back in the yard she went across the road and was headed into place across the road

Stacey, you over did it yesterday. Take it easy, girl. I need to deep clean my area here where I do all my crafting and on the pc.

Cathy, hoping you'll be able to see this. So glad you are ok, but so sorry to hear about your house. How scary that must have been for you.

BJ, did you get your heat gun? Funny that you needed one, I had been looking at an add from Harbor Freight they had this heat gun for $7.99. This puppy gets HOT!!!! low is 572 fahrenheit and high is 1112 fahrenheit. I got for toping off the candles, but I think it will be to hot, I'm going to play with it.

And I also got this little Butane Tourch for $5.00. Can you see that little blue thing on my finger? It's a Finger Light, man it is cool. I use it when I'm sewing or embrodery (sp). It is really a bright little bugger, lol. Rick got himself all kinds new little toys and we kept it under $100, then went to IHOP for an early dinner then home and watched tv. Slept until 6:30 this morning. It is raining now, and is suppose to rain until Tuesday. If it rains too much my pond and creek are going to become 1, and some little fishies might go swimming up stream, lol.

Deborah, dear sistah are you sure you want to part with you aunt Lisa's book. I'm honored that you want to give it to me. Thank You. Tell what do you think of the Gerogia Sunrise? I'm trying to stock up on as many scents as possiable so I can get orders out faster. Some scents I don't have on hand and when someone orders something I don't have it takes about 10 days for me to get it. If any of you have any suggestions on some scents, lmk and I'll stock for future orders. ^_^

Cindy... I've never had any luck with any Chicago Electric products. I've vowed not to ever buy that brand anymore. I did find a good one at Lowes... Wagner brand for $25... and it works great for what I'm doing. I'm curing Kato liquid clay with it to get the clear, glass like finish...

Ouch, Phyllis... I know how that must have hurt... I tripped over Don's shoes one night after turning off the bedroom light and finding my way to bed... fell right against the wooden chest at the end of the bed with my knee, and actually couldn't walk for a few minutes... that was last week.

Well, we solved our problem... we're both going to pick up Mike... LOL...

Hi everyone! I'm going to read this thread later, I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Good Morning!

I have the crud and feel like crap. I caught it yesterday when I was out shopping, my throat started hurting and all went downhill from there. I don't have a fever this morning like I did when I went to bed last night, so that's good, but my chest is all congested, I have body aches all over, and my throat feels like there's a porcupine stuck in it.

I'm going to go read some of the paper and ads, eat, and take some medicine, maybe go back to sleep. I didn't want to get up but the sun is shining so brilliantly outside I couldn't help it. It's not warm though, 46 with a bit of a wind chill.

See ya'll later.

Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everybody has a bless day.

Heeellloooo???? I haven't had a chance to read all the posts, but wanted to let you know what's going on!

Here I am. I slept in until 9:00 yesterday I needed it so badly, and then Dad called shortly after I got up and said he'd talked to Mom and she said 3 Drs were coming in for a consult and she wanted us to be there for that. So I said OK, I'll be ready when you get here. I was really nervous about that and Bill said, Joyce that doesn't sound right. Why don't you call her nurse. So I did, and she said, Bless her heart, she's confused. Her surgeon had come in to see her first and he was pleased with her progress. Then another Dr. and the Surgical team came in and I'm sure he told her they were just there for the consult so they would know her case history in case anything happened on their shift and she misunderstood. They said that she wasn't making enough urine and the debate was rather to give her more ice chips or take some fluid off, and they decided on the chips. That did the trick.

Anyway, Dr. came in about 2:30 and said, she didn't need to be in ICU any more and they were going to send her to the trauma floor. He said it would take 2-3 hours to get her a bed. Well, at 5:05 I told Dad I thought we should go get something to eat, and Mom said they'll come when you're gone...I told her that the nurse said it would take at least a half hour after they found a bed for her and they didn't have one yet (the RN had just checked). So we went to get a bite in the cafeteria. To make a long story short, at 7:00 I said, do you really need us to be here for the move? She said, you're not going till they move me are you??????????????? So I said, No, not if you don't want us to. At 8:10, Dad finally said, it will be 9:00 before I get home if we leave right now, don't you think you'll be okay? She said, Oh, yes, probably. I called this morning and she's still in ICU. They still don't have a bed for her. I called again a little after 10:00 and they STILL don't have a bed for her, but they have included 2 more floors in the search, so maybe soon now. Dad said let's go up about 1:00, and I said, you're not going to stay all night are you?????? He wants to ride together and I'm not sure if it's because he got lost the other night, or just doesn't want to drive all the way there. Anyway, as a dutiful daughter, I will go and stay...Poor Bill, when I got home last night he said, Who are you?

Okay, need to check a couple more threads. Hello to everyone!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Joyce-so glad to hear the good news!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Afternoon all. Jaye, my thought and prayers for you and Kel. Also for Kel's cousins family, such a young age but then we don't know the plans in store for us, do we?

Phyllis, that hurts!!! Caused my sore knee to start all over again. Please take care of yourself--we need you here keeping us straight and not into trouble.

Well, ended up having to buy a new computer after all. The repair job was going to be as much as a new unit and besides it was 4 years old. Still haven't hooked it up but that is for this afternoon. Felt lousy last night--think a front was trying to come through.

Debra, post pictures of your quilt dear. No, I was being very good this time at the quilt shop ad they are having a huge quilt fest on March 14 and I wanted to save for that. Mostly replace my rulers that have been nicked over the years and now are off on each corner. I did add some new different type for cutting also. Now, I won't tell you what I spend when I go back for the Quilt Fest day. That will be my dark secret!!! LOL

Sorry to hear about Cathy and the bad weather. Hope they are all doing ok.

Need to go check on my dinner stuff and will check back later.

Hey Y'all.

Yesterday my friends and another couple surprised me with a trip out to LBJ ranch. Ate brunch at BlueBonnet Cafe first. Then spent a marvelously relaxing afternoon out at the ranch/park. They've opened up LBJ's office to the public, too. Their friends invited us back to home for PizzaHut take out and Mexican Train dominos. a marvelous day. My friend Pat did extremely well all day long.

But today is, though weather lovely and good church blessed, a very difficult day. She is all ugly out of sorts. this is not the way my friend is. saw the Alamo - it's so small!

My Marieke daffs will probably be bloomed out before I can get back home. There was a near freeze warning down here, too, BJ. but the weather is already warm - it's to be in the higher 80's later this week.

Can ya'll withstand one more boat comment? meant to write in here, several iris folks take boats and bury them to create instant "bogs" for growing bog, species and Japanese (JIs) iris. I know several folks that have grabbed old row boats and such for this purpose, put sealer on them to even more waterproof them, and created instant water/bog gardens!

Quotes from Cathy.
"The insurance adjuster just left. He was going to come yesterday, but it was raining. There was so much damage in so many counties, they are having to work 7 days a week. He said we were lucky we didn't loose our roof. He will let us know in a week or two what the outcome will be.
We have 1/2 inch cracks all over our living room walls and the floor has seperations in 2 rooms.
Will let you know what we find out later".
Cathy.

Lets all pray the adjuster and the insurance company does them right!

Wow, I didn't realize the storms were that bad where Cathy is. Very glad they were not harmed, but sure sounds like a mess.

Here's my first quilt layed out the way I think I'll piece it together. Suggestions welcomed. The fabric to the left is the border fabric. I have 17 blocks left over - almost enough for another quilt!

Your quilt top is beautiful Debra! I love the color combinations! You incooperated so many different blocks and all of it is pulled together nicely! Are you going to machine quilt it?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

It's beautiful, all the pics you guys have shown are.I've always wanted to do a quilt but have never taken the time.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Same here Synda, but I will be. I've got an eagle panel that I want to quilt around. I've been in 2 fat quater swaps so I'm hoping to start putting it together soon.

Debra, that is fantastic!!! Are you sure you are a beginer??????

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

LK, Please give our best to Cathy and tell her they are in our prayers.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes, it will be machine quilted. (would never get done if by hand) The instructor said we will be quilting it by the 'stitch in the ditch' method. this is a beginning quilter class. I really learned a lot. Mostly what NOT to do. lol!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Oh I've seen that term, "Stitch in the Ditch". Haven't a clue how that is done. But the term is in my quilting book and on several of my patterns. Another one of those given terms that should be already learned. I think I need to buy a very basic beginner's book. LOL
