Whew Im tuckered out.. The rain cleared up and Max and I hit the nursery and yard hard today afterwards.. Lots of work done and we are getting closer to a finishing p spot.. Hopefully all will be done when Donna V comes back on the 7th.. Will add a fe pcs along with this..

OOOO daffies... I love the pretty Yellow daffodils.. Theres a house up teh road that mowes over them every year but They are not friendly gardeners or I would offer to dig them and give them something else..

Well... Matt put in a full 8 hour day... and got lots done today...
He's gone for the weekend, but will come back to work everyday next week... we should be done with everything by next Friday, if the weather holds out. Yea, I'm so happy to get someone to actually show up too... it's hard to do out here.

I'll have to check with Matt about going on the road with his strong back... he is looking for a job. No, he's not a JD... but he is a nice looking young man... a bit stocky ... and well manored too.

I'm exhausted though... cause I was out there along side him almost all day... my body isn't used to all this.

Mike is suppose to spend the weekend with my granddaughter. Her church is having a "Disciple Now" weekend where they spend the weekend with one of the teachers for all kinds of activities planned. So, he's spending tonight getting his laundry done and packing a bag.
Don is off work tomorrow again... so, wonder how much I can get him to help me to save a bit of Matt's pay?

Remember that 15# I lost last year while I was sick? Well, I think I've gained 14 of them back... but I do appreciate food a lot more now.

I'm so jealous of some people around here... I drive down the road and see all the daffs in bloom... but mine aren't blooming yet... they're about 6-8" tall, but NO blooms... and I'm so excited to see blooms.

OH, and also... I caught another neighbor today while he was down to see the progress of a room addition that is being built on his lake house. He's the one that built our retaining walls. I have concrete blocks left over that are just piled up in the side yard... and I want him to give me a bid on the labor to build a couple of short walls in the secret garden for me so I will have the middle section that is level. He's going to come back again tomorrow with his tape measure and spray paint to give me a bid.

Also finally some good news... I spoke wit hthe wife of the not so nice neighbor with his roof attatched to the post and she said it was fine to take it down.. She so spoke with the renter next door and he will no longer trim anything on the fencline since we are pulling the old wood fence down.. On to pof it all she gave us teh go ahead to to pthe big maple out that is leaning towards our house.. She was really nice and said her husband is suffering from dimentia that effects his motor skills and she appreciates that I spoke with her and our help.. WOW what a difference from her husband even before he was illl..

I finally got all the plants sorted and counted so I know what I have to sell and will have at bare minimum 1.50 each and will be half way to the mortgage problem bein gone.. My best friends hubby said if we got half he woul dbe sure we had the rest as soon as we needed it.> First nice thing he has ever done for us, He and I never hit it off well from the beginning.. he said he appreciated that I cared that much about my friends happieness..

Things are looking up finally.. Just need them to keep headed in teh right direction..

OO sorry I forgot the pictures of what we were up too today.. So the pic is below.. Neighbor gave me 2 bags of red mulch because she knows its what I love and she had it sitting since she uses rubber mulch.. lol I missed pictures of the newest work from later today but I will take more tomorrow after we are don playing out there..

I'm needing smoke and prayers tonight, ladies. Dad called and said they were at Sycamore Emergency. Mom was bleeding from her vagina. So we hopped in the car and went up. Got almost there when Dad called back and said they were releasing Mom. She needed to see the surgeon tomorrow. Her cervix has fallen and it looks like she will have to go under to get it fixed. I hate to see anyone go into surgery at almost 89 years old, but she's got a strong will so I think she'll be okay. Especially with all your help.

My mom was not feeling well today....turns out she didn't take her nausea meds before taking the pain meds.,..at least she did eat something before taking it.

I'm actually doing Mike's laundry tonight... as tired as I am... He's got his homework to do too, and he didn't have a full load of anything, so I'm doing doing some of our laundry at the same time. I'm so sore, I really didn't want to do this tonight.

Some of the seeds in the shelves under the lights have little itsy bitsy sprouts popping up... isn't that too exciting?

Jaye I just sent out a 600 payment today so it shoul dgive me roughly 30 days before they move further.. As soon as I et my plants listed I will send another.. I just keep sendin gthem payments and the balance is starting to drop for what they want.. They did go pay the taxes and add escrow bu Im happy about that anyway its one less thing we have to worry about paying for in one lump sum..

When we finally get some daffodils Im going to plant them in bunche running through one of my beds. I already have giant liriope grasses waving through it and there are a few spots that are bare and needing som eearly spring help around my princess flowers that are sticks after the cold..

Thanks for the thoughtful ishes on my greenhouse area.. This year we are hoping to get everything in order the way I want it.. we are using the posts from the old fenceline for building a new shade structure/pergola type building on teh other side.. I have two black net tarps for shade that are still in good shape and we are re-using the old tarps that ripped off for flooring on that side.. The side from the first pictures are roofing shingles that were curbside and never used.. Perfect for killing weeds and makng paths o walk down that dont hold water.. If I ever have to pick up and go I can clean it up, rake it out and let the grass grow back in with no worries..

LK that is a very pretty stone..

Right now we are getting back up and running but I do Gardenias, Ferns, (want to vines), trident maples, bannanas, azaleas and mostly I sell wholesale to a byg board.. The same system that Donna V started with.. I do more during the summer but we lost our timers to lightning last year and structures fell apart.. Just bad timing for everything last year but we are boun to make it work this year..

Watched the Tour of California Bicycle Race.....today's race ended in Paso Robles, a town where we used to live....sure has changed.....I recognized a lot of stuff on the highway into town....did not recognize anything once they hit the city limits don't know why, it has only been about sixteen years! Sure did like it there. I still have a cactus I picked up out of the ditch at Mission San Miguel just north of there.....should probably re-pot it this year....I am amazed I have kept it alive this long.....it has lasted longer than most of my plants.

Hey everyone... we need some serious prayers for Cookies Mom... They rushed her the ER earlier this evening, decided she needs surgery and sent her home and about 10pm she had to be taken back to the ER...They transported her to another hospital for emergency surgery that will be done tonight...I will keep you posted as soon as I hear from Cookie...

I am sending lots of Smoke.. It's going to be a very long night...

Yep... it's 38* here, and is suppose to get up to 70* later... so, I'll be out working out some of this soreness in a bit.

Don's going after more propane to heat his shop, so I guess he's going to build on the bridge today... won't get any help from him, from the sound of it.
