Meant to post this. These are neat plant stands but very pricey. I'll have to see if Rick can make me some out of rebar

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

WHOOPIE... I just talked Don out of the canoe... !!!
We're going to make a ship wreck out of it... with masts and a cabin, and a poop deck... it'll be a centerpiece in another section of the lake level tropical garden... wouldn't that be neat?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Yea!!! That is a fantastic idea. Can't wait to see it.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

bj have you ever heard of this site http://www.collectionsetc.com/index.aspx they have wonderful things cheap. But they have lights for outside that would go with your ship wreck theme great, here is the page http://www.collectionsetc.com/See_the_Light_Border/product.aspx?Ne=100000000&categoryname=Lighting&N=107190153&productname=See_the_Light_Border&productid=211&rpg=12&cs=190&No=0&src=featured look and tell me what you think.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

That is one of my favorite places to order from, lol. Synda those would look cool.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I'm an addict, just not to drugs, alcohol or gambling. But I will be back in a minute need to go get a cigarette.......LOL.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Synda... those are really cute... but I've seen some that are solar, and individually controled, so they don't have to be wired one to another. Good idea though...

Now, I'm off... got to get to Canton then out to eat.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

YUKKIE those will stunt your growth LOL

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Enjoy a good steak!!!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

OMG ---- I hope they stunt my growth......LOL.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

We have a Canton also and I Want to go out to eat....LOL That's why I need my growth stunted.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL I used to smoke or I should say I would light a cig then lay it in the ash tray and it would just burn up. I was always busy with my hands so that is one reason why I gave them up, the other they are too expensive to just burn up. That was about 20 years ago.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Cookie, good news about your DM. Hope she has a full recovery.

BJ, with your creative mind, I'm anxious to see what you do with the canoe.

Long day at quilting class again. My blocks are done but I want to do more to add some contrast. The quilt will be larger than originally planned. Jaye - I told them about your quilt blocks with 40 pieces each. They were impressed!

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Wanted to share this warning with my sisters - especially with the weekend coming up.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra that is great! Love It!

Thanks for the info about the daffs!

Oh Dave's up, got to go see if he's working tonight, hopefully Not!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my my Debra!!!! ROFL!!!!!
Also, the consumption of Margaritas will give you the inclinations to finish off your ex.. like you had promised to do ;)

Crissy, I've never heard of Jeff Dunham, and to download Youtube right now will take forever with this dial up. Is he a comedian?

Synda, we go broke at that site! Such good deals and I'm sure 3/4s of us are on their mailing list!!
Those will be pretty next to a pond or a pool.

Susan, I hate to hear you have the cruds again :( Bummer!!!! Now stay away from the golf clubs and rest, you hear!!!

Cody, how's my Mocha? You must have been busy today..you haven't checked back since :D

Hi Audrey! How are you doing?

Think there's an Aussie DGer who uses a boat as a huge planter. Can't wait to see what creative BJ plans to do.. a mast?? So, you need a cut out of JD too ;)
Must try American Meadows... this should be the year for us to sow some wild flowers.

Well LK, I thought I'd be getting some zzzzzs, but my church sister came over unannounced this afternoon wanting me to help lay out her yoyos for her new grandaughter. Never thought they'd take forever, especially when they all are of different coloured fabrics.. and that urrrghhhh pinks...
And she had some whites that she wanted as a cross in the center. My advise to anyone that want to make a yoyo quilt, GRAPH it out if you intend to use multi colors!!! Better planning!

Had a nice meal at Sticky Finger's again. Kel loves the ribs there. So fortunate that I don't have to cook again.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

But Jaye Margaritas are soooooooo good!

been up to nearly dawn last two nights - I'm crashing.

My girlfriend won't eat. Says she can't. all kinds of medical issues. wish I could get her to go on a road trip over to see Taters or BJ but it's not looking likely. She wanted me to help clean, she cleaned because I was coming, did too much and now is sicker. Her DH is diabetic and needs to lose weight, so I'm trying to do cooking both ways! She's allergic to black pepper, most peppers, so I can't cook with them = I ADORE pepper, and am trying to remember which herbs I can sub.

Also counseling them. Roy was laid off recently, like a couple million others. I'm trying to make helpful suggestions. Helps that I once was the one doing the hiring.

am having fun reading and catching up on everyone.

Don't forget BJ - daffs are like everything else hybridized these days - some bloom very very early, and others bloom all the way to very very late, about a seven week or more spread. I get very annoyed with those companies that sell "collections" of bulbs - they always show them blooming together, but mostly they don't!

Cindy - hoping Curves works out fine. I'm back working out at the Y - need the indoor pool to workout without harming old joints. in my water aerobics class for active older adults (AOA) we have a very spunky vital 93 yr. old. She motivates me! man am I missing my classes right about now.

Cookies' mom's in my prayers. My sis had prolapsed uterus - had to have histerectomy in January. wonder what else can go wrong with this old carcass of mine - Mom always said I had to trade having periods once a month for having to shave my face every day. She never said when the periods stopped the uterus would fall out, and she sure as heck never mentioned I'd have to take up shaving......

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I try not to drink, because I'll do thing I ot not to do.If ya want to know I'll tell ya or show ya....LOL.

Cute, Debra... good think I don't like the taste of Margaritas ... huh?

Well we had a nice dinner, but the steak house we liked closed down... a diner moved in there... so, we drove back to the Ranch House in Gun Barrel City and had a steak there... not bad. During dinner we talked some more about the "canoe" project... Don thinks it will junk up the yard too much... I think we need some kind of a focal point in that area... so, he probably won't let it happen like I want, since I would definitely need his help to do it. My other plan was to build a thatched roof shack like thing to make it look like a bait house to put our boat stuffs in. Maybe he'll build that for me... he did like that idea.

We're going to bed now... I'm so exhausted, have a full tummy, and already have my jammies on. NO ALARM clock in the morning YEAH !!!

Good night everyone. Sounds like you all stayed busy and out of trouble!
Yep Cindy I love that site too!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Yes, he's a professional comedian and ventriloquist. Maybe you can Google him, I didn't have the patience for dial up, plus I'm an addict. LOL

I love margaritas, and that is so true Debra!

Yes, Dave is off tonight, going to work 2nd shift tomorrow night, and we are not going anywhere. I told him I'm just too tired from last night, I just want to sleep. Tomorrow we have to go shopping, lots of laundry, and other miscellaneous housework Blah.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm going to bed, was going to hang out for a bit but I'm falling asleep at the computer. Have a great evening everyone!

A good morning to those who are already in bed......

A good night to those getting ready for bed......

Have been with mom or running errands all day....going to dinner in a bit then still have grocery shopping to do......:(

Good news from Laura.....they will be able to start moving stuff to their new house on the 25th instead of waiting until the first....that will reduce the stress a good bit.

Just took a very fast skim through and know I missed a lot, may be able to catch up later...

Cookie, great news about your mom!!!!

At least I get to play with clay a little while I keep mom company....will see how the latest project turns out.....

Time to eat so talk to ya later!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Night BJ, Crissy...
there are a few of us that find housework therapeutic, Synda.
Hate to say, I don't belong to that group!!!! LOL!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's terrific news for Laura!!!! I'm sure she can't wait to move into their new home!
Show us what you're doing now Trisha.

Bonnie, what you're doing for your friend is truly admirable. (((((Hugs)))
Takes a lot of courage to leave your family and rearrange your whole days and nights around them. Will be praying for you and your friends too.

I'm off to bed.. and I hope to get a good night's sleep.

Night everyone!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm home and yes, I came back by the quilt shop. Behaved myself and only spent 75.00 -new record for me.

Debra, quick, pass me the margaritas--it will help me overcome my shyness and fear of speaking up. I feel better already know there is something out there that can help me bashful me!

Joyce, saying prayers for your Mom's continued recovery. I know that was a stressful situation but TTL she came through fine.

Good news for Laura. Oh how exciting she must be getting.

I am tired, cold and mind hurts from the meeting last night so I am off to beddy bye. Didn't have my favorite pillow so didn't sleep well. Tonight will be different.

ZZZZZZZZZZ

Raleigh, NC

thanks for the hugs Jaye. I could use the prayers - i'm frustrated.

Night All. I'm dead and ate too much dinner, my tummy hasn't let me lay down yet. think my brain stopped about an hour back.

BJ - is it legal for a Texan to dislike tequila?

Coushatta, LA

Hey Linda Kay,good, don't have nothing plan.

Hey Jaye,Mocha,is doing good.We went to Shreveport,to get 4 more rabbits.

Coushatta, LA

Good night EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Morning sistahs !!!

The trouble with going to bed at 8:30 is that I get up before the crack of dawn. Slept really good though.

Bonnie, it's legal... but frowned upon.

YEA!!! Laura... good news indeed... now you don't have to rush into it.

I agree... housework should be outlawed for anyone except those who do it for a living. It really sucks to be me cause I just have to live in the filth since I don't hire it done.

It's suppose to freeze tonight here, and I already set some plants out in the ground... so, guess this evening I'll be out covering things up.

It's another 20 hour day for my poor DH... two games back to back today... first Hockey then Basketball... same stadium... no break... and I didn't even pack him a lunch... it's gonna suck to be him today.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning BJ. I got the coffee on. Help your self.
Marion, glad to hear you restrained yourself at the quilt shop! ^_^
Bonnie, sorry to hear your having problems in San Antonio. Let me know what your schedule is on Sunday. I can meet you in Uvalde for lunch. That is only about 1 & 12 hours from you, instead of 3 hours. 75 miles. It will be half way for both of us. Dad and I like to take Sunday drives, so I can meet you there if you can make arrangements. Bring them along if they can travel. LMK

LK

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Good morning!

Bon, good to have you back. I've missed your humor. Hoping things start looking up for your friends soon.

Marion, only $75? And you call yourself a fabriholic.......

Trishia, that's great for Laura. Having that extra time will take some pressure off. Hope they are happy in their new place. Moving is no fun but having an opportunity to start fresh and organized is a good feeling.

Off to work on my quilt blocks. Need to replace some I'm not happy with. When the blocks were laid out it was clear that it needed more contrast. Here's a little taste of spring for you.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

GOOD MORNING!!!! Have some cleaning and crafting to do today-need to get my seeds sorted through and started this next week too-I am a couple weeks behind-shame on me!!

Debra-I am so jealous-we are getting another big snow storm today-we are only getting about 4", but Mom is supposed to get more like7":(

Not real happy as I wanted to go to Joann's and HL today to pick out some fabrics to go with my fairy fabrics to start cutting out my squares:( Oh well, guess I will start on that next week...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning!
Cody, more rabbits? Show pictures please!!! There are wild rabbits around here and thank God, our cats don't try to chase them.

Oooh I hope LK can have that chance to meet Bonnie!! If Bonnie hung around long enough we might all get to see her at BJ's!!

Oh please, I hope it won't freeze for you BJ! It's supposed to get colder here, most likely a frost, but I haven't sowed anything yet.. so no fear there. The old folks around here have taught me well.. not till after Easter :( Poor Don, well at least he's not plane hopping.. then he'll surely get more aggravated.

Debra, sometimes I throw in 'surprise' colors... so to 'arouse' the complementary fabrics. I take my lessons from our surroundings. Nothing in the garden is of the same color palette, but seen as a whole, somehow they all come together. ^_^ You have a sharp eye, and no matter what, your quilt will come out SMASHING!

Niece, don't be in a hurry to start, till you get your supplies ;)

You all won't be seeing me much today as the quilt show is on! Marion, proud of you! $75 !!!! Wow, you must have hit some sales rack!!
Kel is so good and as usual, he had most probably set aside too much for this quilt show:D It's always me that know when to set a limit.. whereas him, he'll keep on saying, why stop at a yard.. get another!!!!
Luckily, being it's a local quilt show, there won't be much vendors.

Ladies, have a wonderful day!

Forgot to add.. won't be on much at all this evening and tomorrow too. Kel's cousin died this morning, he's only 40.
He had been complaining of pains along his left side.. not on the chest. So, he passed it off as appendicitis. Turned out to be his heart..

This cousin here is just as witty as Kel and they are like 2 peas in a pod.
BJ, I'll certainly give Kel that hug.

Jaye, so sorry to hear about Kels cousin passing! Please take care, and will be praying for the family.
Enjoy the quilt show! Take pictures if you can.
Stacey, I know you will find the perfect fabric, once you get the chance to go shopping!
