I think we all come here for companionship that we may or may not be lacking in the world around us. I think my lucky stars every day for the wonderful peeps I have met on DG and for the ones I have actually had the pleasure to hug in person!! I have to say that every person on here gives me something I need. Be it Terry and a good laugh, or Betty and a warm hug, we all tend to serve our purpose for each other....

Liz, Bernie is about 1/2 way from my house to work here, probably about 20 minutes away..I pass there when I drive in, usually always in a hurry to get home but tonight I'll make a point of dropping in..

With Noah at the house last night Sailor was as frisky as a pup, loves playing with kids..she sure missed playing catch outside..maybe when the warm weather arrives I can throw the ball up in the air just having her catch and not run..but thanks for asking..

Never think going on e-bay to purchase things, always think one might get scammed but Liz you purchase much and have good luck...I did though if you remember, last spring bid on a cross stitch queen size quilt kit..got it for 1/3 of the price and it did arrive and in good shape..hey maybe I can go look around, pass my morning looking for bargoons..

Ohhhh another hour and I try out that new hairdresser next door...yikes

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

I have purchased several items on Ebay-I just always look at the seller's feedback and rating and really read the descriptions-if I have have any ?? I send them a mess and won't bid til I get the answer...had good luck so far:)

Victoria Harbour, ON

AMEN to that Stacey...I've so enjoyed meeting all girls I've met to date all are exactly as are on here, kind, loving, fun...great to be with...hmm our own admiration society going on here..but that's okay, can't go wrong being loved..

Failed attemp in Canada you say..hmmmm regular post or puralator??? Liz, how many in total are you trying to get done?

Funny, anything I bought would just be an old think that was in the closet for forever when Roger would ask...either than or one heck of a sale item..lol..don't we all do that..gee I'm on my own, free to spend where I like and still feel when the boys are around to lessen the amount of my purchase..old habits die hard

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear,

I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape.

In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet.

I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight.

I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.

However, I could hear the noises and smell the food.

I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.'

I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage..

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches.

The dog receives special privileges.

He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return.

He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant.

I observe him communicating with the guards regularly.

I am certain that he reports my every move.

My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe.

For now

Betty-you just wait for my visit:) I will squeeze you in a hug til it hurts!!LOL BTW-I am bringing your Bday pressie with me instead of spending a tank of gas worth of $$ to mail it-hope that is OK...

Okay this is the last one for TODAY

Cherokee Legend

Do you know the legend of the Cherokee
Indian youth's rite of Passage?
His father takes him into the forest, blindfolds him and
leaves him alone.
He is required to sit on a stump the whole night and not
remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun
shine through it.

He cannot cry out for help to anyone.

Once he survives the night, he is a MAN.

He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because
each lad must come into manhood on his own.

The boy is naturally terrified.
He can hear all kinds of noises.
Wild beasts must surely be all around him .
Maybe even some human might do him harm.
The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but
he sat stoically, never removing the blindfold. It would be
the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he
removed his blindfold.

It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the
stump next to him...

He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son
from harm.

We, too, are never alone.
Even when we don't know it,
God is watching over us,
Sitting on the stump beside us.
When trouble comes,
All we have to do is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story:
Just because you can't see God,
Doesn't mean He is not there.
'For we walk by faith, not by sight.'

Betty I'm sure Bernie will like having you on that stump next to him

Victoria Harbour, ON

Linda Kay, that would be best..you know, think you all told me to do so but I didn't change my address...off to do it..puralator is same as UPS..not sure why they didn't leave it on front deck unless Liz said I had to sign for it...

thanks Tubby....

Betty, I didn't know you opened up your house as a B&B, how cool!

I'm trying to catch up LOL I'll have to do it after work I guess.

We went to see Jeff Dunham last night, he's absolutely hilarious! His opener, The Guitar Guy, was equally as funny, what a great show!
