Cathy thank you for posting the story above, Mom really enjoyed it....and it is so true.

She slept for a couple of hours and I just fixed her some clam chowder, crackers and a salad to go with her pain meds.....all she has had except a few crackers since before midnight last night.....she was hungry. Brownies for dessert!!

Trisha,tell her she is very welcome,and get well soon.

She is doing real well except the pain med makes her sick to her stomach.....says she will take a lot of pain before she take another one of those.....think we will try a half of one or maybe just the IBP and see how it works.....may be a long night.

Trisha,make her comfortable as much as you can.Sorry that the meds.are making her sick.Yea it's better to try half then none at all.

Guess I will watch some TV and play with Clay for awhile....I think Bill is bringing home pizza...I shouldn't be eating pizza......but I love pizza....

Thank you Cathy. Many of us are new bamboos! And Chinese consider the bamboo as a very important plant. The shoots are used for food.. besides bamboo furniture, bamboo kitchenware, the whole bamboos themselves are used for scaffolding in Asian countries. Tough.. that's what they are.
Debra, calligraphy is a lost art. And you need patience for that wonderful old world penmanship. I'm glad you let your feelings be known to her. Sometimes kids need to be told NOT to take things for granted. Your DH could jolly well be doing something else, instead, he set aside precious time, and applied an old world skill to make her wedding special.

Trisha hope your momma rest well for the night,I to have taken pain meds that made me so sick.May need to call her Dr. and get a different kind.

Cathy I have come in late in this thread and don't know the whole story.But no one in this world can possibly know the pain and agony you are in,but make the pain make you stronger,reach deep inside and put up a fight.I have lived in pain everyday for many years now,and at first I gave in,but I was wrong and got mad.I learned my limits and I'll push til there is no more.And then the next day I start over.I'm 46 years old and I'm not going to give in to my own body.I'll take a pill to get up and start my day and then one so I can even lie down to sleep.But I refuse to crawl in a hole as I have wanted to do many times.If I am out of line please tel me and I won't be mad.But please find a focus and fight.My momma just ask me why do you want to get all of those flowers and seeds you know how bad you hurt.And I said momma I can't give in.I have to have a purpose,even if it's to make my yard beautiful.

And if you don't agree with your Dr. find a new one and do that until you find one that really listens to you.

We here love each other just as God does and hate to see you or anyone in pain or sad.If you ever want to ,I'll say this lady like Complain ,Dmail me I'll listen.
