Well, you all have been very chatty this afternoon.
I have a great idea for the next swap! How about a PJ swap, since we all love to wear them most of the day!, and we can always use a new set of pj's. What do you think. We could post our sizes, and our favorite colors... Just a thought.
Glad to hear you all got through the storms OK. We were worried about you.
Laura, glad to hear you found a new place to move to.
Good night all.

Trisha I agree... 100% We need to figure that out on a crafting business,..lol
LK A pj swap sounds fun but heck I dont even know wha size I wear anymore...
Have a great night..
I think Im calling i a night as well. I have my appointment in the morning iwth the housing counsler and Bella will be up early to go ouside..
Huggs to everyone..
Donna
Donna you did a wonderful job with the towels.I posted a while back doing that for a decoration at my brothers reception. Here is the link with a pic of mine. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/931812/
I also did a wedding cake card box and the balloon arch.
Too much to catch up on, so I skipped ahead, but I wanted to let everyone know I was fine.
I think we got a place, it's small and doesn't have much of a yard, but it's close to mom's and very cheap for around here. That will help us save money, which we need right now. We're assuming we will stay there for a year and then find something bigger.
My face is healing well. The puffy eye I had for about 24 hours sucked, but I've had worse, just not on my face.
Well we want to be out of here by the 7th, so we still have a lot of work to do. I also don't have the kids in the morning, so I have to find time to get on here during the day.
I'll try to get on more.
Congrats on finding a new place, Laura. An extra $600 per month will come in handy.
Donna, you did a great job with the towels. Synda's is very pretty, too. I have to admire the both of you for attempting something like that. The recipients are lucky folks!
LK, a pj swap is a good idea. There are lots of inexpensive pj's out there - like those big loose gathered waist pants with a simple t-shirt! I could see some of these talented sistahs getting creative with a t-shirt.
I forgot! Do you mind indulging me? If this link works, here is my facebook album of photos from Lauren's bridal shower.

Do any of my sistahs have a profile on Facebook?
I have facebook!! Just under Stacey Combest
Donna-looks great-I did a diaper cake a while back-I had to use rubber bands to hold all the diapers together!!LOL
Jaye-it is on it's way to you!!
Morning Ladies,
Had a rain storm last night, so nice everything is getting watered. My daffs and tulips are poking their heads out of the ground. I'm going shopping to buy me a new monitor I got my income tax refund already. I wasn't expecting it until next Friday ^_^
OOO-make sure you get a flat panel with an anti glare screen:) And make sure it is a HONKER-the bigger the better-you can get them pretty cheap nowadays-how old is your puter??
Morning everyone! Hope you all got lots of rest, and are ready to go today!
No face book here. I have heard so many bad things about sites like that with virus's and such.
Cindy how are you doing? Yippee... Your getting a new monitor! Are you aware that a tv can be used as a monitor? Sometimes you can get a nice tv, cheaper than a computer monitor.
Marion, where are you at? Hope you are feeling better today.
Laura, glad to see you posting, and hope you get settled into your new place soon. I know that moving sucks, but it will be over soon. Wish we werea ll closer, we could have a help your sister move party!
Anyone else up for a PJ swap?
LK
Anjl has a co op going for brugs, hibiscus, and mandavilla plants.

I've had my pc for 3 years it's a Dell. I saw a Dell montior at Wal-Mart, going to check Sam's first.
I'm doing okay LK, going to hearing aide doc today. Probably will get a new aide. If medical will pay for it.
Morning sistahs !!!
Well, Don's on his way home right now... he doesn't have to go to Florida today... these last minute schedule changes are keeping us on a roller coaster here. But, at least he gets to spend the afternoon at home... then Dallas tomorrow, and back to LA on Saturday again. After that, who knows where they'll have him going.
Turns out that the guy who they hired to EIC the truck in Fla quit to go back to his old job... so now there's nobody to run that truck... I don't know who they've got to work it, but they're sending Don home, and that's all I care about.
Debra, your daughter is beautiful... she's going to make such a lovely bride.
Love the towel gift you made, Donna...
I don't remember why, but Don told me that it's not recommended to use a TV as a monitor... I think it has to do with how the information is sent from the computer to the monitor... the TV just wont last very long. Don's the brains behind our operation, and I'm just on a need to know basis here. So, sometimes I just don't listen after he says "that won't work"...
I'm still in my pj's... but I do have to get dressed now and go out and start some yard clean up... maybe Don will help me when he gets home.
Cindy... my daffs are peeking their little selves up too... isn't it exciting?
I tried to go to the face book, but it tells me I have to log in to view it?
Bj, thanks for the info on the tv for monitors. I was not aware of that.
LK
LK-I got one from myspace, but I am on facebook-with facebook, you don't have to download things to your puter and with myspace you do....
Cindy-I would look on Ebay and Amazon too!!
'm here...today is my little girls' birthday...she was born in Stuttgart Germany in 1971. Yes...I am old... :O)
I lost one of my bird-feeders in the wind last night. The niger feeder. :O( I just filled it yesterday and there is seed all over the ground. I'm hoping that it isn't busted. It holds 3 pounds and I don't have to fill it as often as the skinny ones. I don't need the expense of replacing it right now!
I was talking to one of my GFs daughters last night and she has the perfect job for me..She is an auditor for Krogers. I was all excited until she said the office is in Cincinnati. :O( I don't want to drive that far, plus after I talked to her a bit, she said that the job is 80% travel. Now with a garden the size of mine, I just don't think that will work.
Love the towel tower...great job.
Debra, your daughter is stunning. Bet you're not proud...how many guests are you expecting for the wedding? Do you have other children?
Laura, great news on the new place...hope everything goes smoothly for you.
I'd like to be in the PJ swap, but I'm going to have to chill on most of the swaps for awhile. Food on the table takes priority right now. :O(
Mornin' does anyone have any coffee left? I sure could use another cup today.
I am here Linda Kay. feeling much better now that the fluids are drying up. Have the usual cough that goes with allergies but won't complain as ear is sooo much better.
Donna, loved the cake made from towels. I wish I could find my book with directions for doing things like that. Now just where did I put them?
Busy trying to get my B & W blocks done, cleaning house for company and then at night doing "catch" up with festival work.
Ooohhh meant to say, that Deborah, I think you did a GREAT job! I LOVE that fabric that Jaye sent you, it even has DRAGONFLIES on it!!!
Happy Birthday to your daughter Joyce. Were not getting old, we are getting better! My kids were born in 76, and 81. I have 3 grandkids now 4, 9, and 11!
Too bad the job is so far. Hope something works out for you soon.
Marion glad to hear your feeling better. Those sinus, and ear aches can get you down pretty fast!
Hey Bj, what are you working on outside? You getting anything planted, or getting it ready to plant? I cleaned up my garden a bit yesterday, but mine are not half as big as what you have! Mine are all along the chain link fence. It is supposed to be 82 again today!
LK
Hey-I was born in 76!!
Another centennial baby!
My daughter was born in 75.
I have some seeds starting indoors. Beings I don't have one of those heat mats. I'm using a heating pad. Seems to be working really well. It's keeping the jiffy pot thing humid and warm. Think I need to hunt up more heating pads at the thrift stores.
Stacey, guess you'll just have to start calling me Mom instead of Auntie. :O) Wanted to thank you for my cheer-up card I got when I returned from the cruise. Meant more to me than you'll ever know.
I'd like to see your letter...you should have my email. ♥♥♥
Be VERY careful with the heating pad-you can't regulate the temp on them and they are'nt made run all the time....
it's the ww one right Auntie Cookie??
I know I check all the time
Ok sistahs!!! Are you trying to really make me feel my age? My children arrived in '62 and '64. I was a mere 16 with the first one! LOL Can I get away with that?
Happy Birthday to your daughter Joyce. Hummm, you like dragonflies? I didn't realize they were so popular. My Kim loves them and everything with dragonflies she gets for her deck. Yes, lucky her--has a deck off her bedroom. Yeap, full of planters too!!
Tink, to bad you can't get here by 4:30 tomorrow. You could go visit Stitch with us. Gonna miss you sweetie.
That's right, Fairy brain... plant heating pads are made for that, people heating pads are not... and even the lowest setting is way too hot for plants.
LK... I'm doing basic pre spring clean up right now... but this weekend I'm calling in all the help I can get to get my compost bin sorted out... last year I did it by myself and it took me a solid week to kill myself over it... not this year... I'm hollering uncle before I even start. Plus the fact we basically have 2 compost bins this year... cause Don just piled leaves up against the fence and it's all composted on the bottom now... ugh... it's piled up as high as the compost bin... wonder what he was thinking?
Ok, now... I'm really gone... it's too pretty a day to sit here...
Yes, Fairy dear...It's the wwt one!

ok-sending now....
Maybe you will see something neat that is stitch:) Auntie M-there is always next year-so I should plan for next Feb??
Hi everyone..
Short period online his afternoon so please forgive me if I dont get caught up this evening..
I went to my appointment today and well its was horrible.. The man was mean and rude..
... The counsler told me we didnt qualify for city funding..
3 reasons.below
1.My husband makes too much (they dont count child support comming out)
2. They dont consider the business we started work for me... Even though I just went and worked 5 hours doing landscaping 2 days ago.. Said to go get a job
3. I need to have 600 in the bank... Grrr Im sending everything to the mortgage company as we have it so why would there be money in the bank....
Is the system against everyone now even though of us who try our hardest to do the right thing the right way??
Bella didnt sleep well last night so Im on about 4 hours of sleep.. Finally resorted to pulling out the pack and play from the attic and putting her in t next to the bed so she would sleep.. Been a long time since I set one up.. I almost broke my neck trying to figure it out again.. It wa sthat or her in bed with me..
I just ordered me a heating mat from Lee Valley, plus a pot maker and a rootrainer.
aw Donna-I am so sorry to hear that....can you call and and ask to speak to a boss and let them know what happened and ask if you can see someone else??
I was sent to him because he handles th ecity paperwork.. The other guy told me even if he did it that the papers go through him and if he said we didnt qualify for those reasons there is nothing he can do..
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Donna, so sorry. It doesn't make sense to me. Why wouldn't they want to keep a customer that is doing everything they can to make payments?
BJ, our daffs are poking their heads out also. Little yellow buds on top. It's so exciting.
Hmmm, wonder how I can post an album with those photos without going through facebook. Maybe through Picasa? I'm not too good at this.
Hello everyone.
Donna, I love your towel tower! So sorry this is happening to you, it's kinda disheartening when the govt. willing to help and you got heartless paper pusher like him to put your hopes down. I'll go to your state representative, bring all your documents and beg him to cut the red tape. Sending you tight hugs sistah!
Laura, take care now. We're happy you got a place to live and close to Trisha. You said it's small... so less cleaning!
Darn BJ, there goes Don's unexpected shopping spree! Truly no fun being sent around at the last minute. At least it's for a couple of days, if he were to be sent anyway.
Is it okay to sow some zinnia seeds now, or wait till April?
Yes I have Face Book, Deborah. Will check into that. You didn't mentioned the food serve.. :D Were there beignets, some pralines or gumbo served?
I know Trisha and Laura use Picasa. You might try that.
Happy Birthday to your daughter Cookie. So you like dragonflies.. do you sew? He he he!!
Maid M. how are you TRULY doing? Meds working? Those block pieces can make you scream.. so take more breaks! You didn't tell us what nice things you got from Cindy.
Phyllis, your swap buddy has mailed out your gift Friday. Hope you got it by now. If not let me know please..
Hi Cody, that's a beautiful Camellia. I'll be heading to the nursery this afternoon to look for more. Sad.. could never get enough of them.
Thanks LK, for letting us know of that co-op. Hope she got good prices on mandevillias.
As for PJ swaps... hmm.. interesting :D
Niece, I hope the boxes get here today!! Bought more special pins, so I can use them and proudly display them on my sewing shelve!
Just checking in here while I fume a bit...
I called my son (Kristi's dad) to get him and the family to help me this weekend with the compost bin... he said they're busy this Saturday... got to be in Athens to look at a pasture they're thinking about leasing to run cattle on early Sat morn... so I asked... "how long does it take to look at a pasture?"... he said "might take all day"... (yea, right)...
So, I said that if he would reserve next Sat for me, I'd hold off till then. He said he'd "pencil" me in, but couldn't promise.
Ya know... that really hurt my feelings... I've always jumped when he's needed something... redecorated 3 rooms in his house (with my own money)... taken Kristi several times when he and his wife just wanted time alone... and I've never ask him for his help unless I really need it. He knows that... WHY, do I let my feelings get hurt like this?... I just want to stomp and pitch a fit right now.
The conversation with him didn't end well...
Jaye... I'm tempted to plant some zinnias now myself... I think it would be alright here, but I don't know about in NC.
I'm going back outside to work off some frustrations... BBL
