I got 1:16 and then went straight back, certain I would do better, and got 1:23. I'm deteriorating so quickly, Folks. Send chocolate!
Stir crazy, but there's nothing much in the nurseries yet
First time: 1:18
Second time: 1:12
Later I went back and did it again: 2:10
I have brownies baking.
My best was 56 sec. but I still want chocolate and brownies!
Darn it! I can't bake. One of the cats sprayed on the side of the stove once and now I never use the oven except in emergencies. I've only used it for the cats' Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas hams for the last three years.
Zuzu,
Please don't even think of baking ever again. That could be a good enough reason to rid yourself of the stove.
CalifSue...sure would be fun if you all could just come on over. I'd share.
Maybe if you close your eyes and inhale....
No, I need the top burners for my wok cooking every once in a while. Besides, they don't smell when I turn them on. The oven, on the other hand, yuk....
I can't help with the oven, Zuzu, but today I tried something new for cleaning the kitchen floor and it proves I'm stir crazy. I used the leaf blower. It worked amazingly well and I even did the radiators in the kitchen. Afterwards I washed the floor. I had blown out the garage first so now there shouldn't be as much sand (from the town sanding after the snowfalls) coming in on Jack's shoes or on the dog's feet or bits of leaves hitching a ride on Harry's hair.
I'm sure JD will have a comment on my sanity.
Oh, Pirl.
Do you think you could bring your leaf blower and come to my house.
I have no sand but there are little wood things from the storm debris, and dried leaves, plus I am not sure how long it has been since the radiators were cleaned...
I would feed you chocolate and rattlesnakes.
I have a few more rooms to do, Sharon, but I'll put you on my growing list of people who want my service. We can skip the rattlesnakes if that doesn't hurt your feelings (and even if it does).
Pirl,
You have never had one of my world famous rattlesnakes. And it contains chocolate.
But that's OK. I will drink it for you.
Maybe it's one of life's pleasures I'll be forced to live without.
Now wait, not so fast pirl! I think Sharran has an excellent idea!

1 part Southern Comfort® peach liqueur
1 splash sweet and sour mix
Mix all ingredients and Shake well. Sweet at first, with a BITE at the end.
I'd only be able to drink it sitting at the side of my bed.
Yep, it's the first one, Sue, but the others aren't too shabby either.
Pirl, how 'bout we prop you up on pillows in the recliner.
Oh yum. Sign me up too. I would like Pirl to come blow out my kitchen too, but as it is sunken I don't know how well it would work. The kids were here yesterday, and were playing Bakugan from the dining room, and rolling them across the kitchen floor, stirring up all sorts of stuff. And of course they had to run in and out, in and out. And how their sneakers accumulate so much dirt in the snow is beyond me.
I thought of you today, Polly..
I had a medical thing and when I went afterward to fill my Rx, there was a rack of bulbs beside the area where I was waiting. This was Walgreens, and I had never seen bulbs there before today.
Anyway, there was a package of Dutch Iris...something like 18 bulbs of Miss Saigon.
Well, of course, I grabbed one. With a name like that, I had to have it. Now where will I put 18 Miss Saigons? I am an impulsive/compulsive plant buyer. But I will have another spot that will not have to be mowed.
One advantage of living alone is that I no longer have to have grass.
I think I might go back tomorrow and get 18 more of something.
I love the dutch iris Sharon. They just aren't quite hardy here. If we have a mild winter they come back, if not, gone. But they are quite inexpensive so that's not too bad. Miss Saigon does sound intriguing.
Be sure to post pics!
you know I will post pictures....I have been sitting here planning where they will live.
Reading about pirl's recent cleaning escapade with her leaf blower has confirmed my worst fear: She's lost it ,folks. We knew it was inevitable.
This is almost as bad as when she tried to mow the shag carpeting in her living room.
I think a visit to the prayer thread forum is in order...

Lovely Sharon! Those will look very nice in the garden. What does that copyright say? It looks scrambled.
LOL, JD!
I found it in Plant Files, saved it, then it superimposed my name over it.........I am guessing, I dunno! I think the photographer was bootandall. The picture that came with the bulbs is much deeper in color. We'll see what they do here. I am still looking for something interesting in red.
JD might be one that needs a prayer or two.
Long ago I had shag carpeting in my sons room and he'd lose pieces of toys in it. Never did try to mow it.
The medications should have worked better, JD.
Oh, was I ever tempted to tell this person about blowing out her muddy chicken coop (not co-op) with a leaf blower but it might have left the chickens in a panic:

I can envision chicken feathers flying through the air and lots of naked squawking chickens.
You got chickens pirl?
Only in the freezer, Sue.
LOL, just wondering why you were in the Poultry and Livestock forum, unless you accidentally went to look for the coop instead of the co-op! (pet peeve of mine ^_^)
I fell the same way about co-op vs. coop.
Zuzu - we need a part 2.
Okay, Pirl. Proceed with the crazing at this location:
