Good morning ladies... WOW... I feel alone again... I'm the only one awake here... it's glorious, and soooo quiet.

A thought came to me last night... Some of you wanted to know what you can send to Mike for him to take home for his family... well, here's an idea.
Mike's Mom... Rosa... likes to cook... And I'm thinking that if each of you want to send me a recipe that is typically American, or from your part of the states... I'd get Mike to translate it to German, and I'll compile a little cookbook from "BJ's Friends Best Recipies". You can send more than one if you want, and I'll make it a recipe file, of sorts.

Oops... I hear somebody stirring around... I'm thinking that I'll cook a big breakfast this morning before taking Kristi home.

Morning ladies! Today is a NEW day! Dusty says it's 12* here. I know I'm dreading going out to fill the feeders, but those poor birdies are hungry!

Dusty's hubby wrote a book about how they met in Nam. I'm not sure if I've told you all this or not, but it is a good read and you'll learn a lot about our Sistah. It has been released again so there is a new printing out there. It's called "Spooks".

Oh what a cool idea BJ!! I will have the time to give you several now!

I would surely love a copy of everything too!!! When I was much, much younger, I was in charge of doing a cookbook for our church. It was so much fun and that poor thing is really dogeared now! Both my kids fight about who gets it when I'm gone, but my mom solved that problem the other day and says Mark can have hers when she's gone. So there you are!

Up before my two hurricanes this morning is amazingly quiet.. Max went in at 330 again so its dead silent aroudn here..

Weather is somehwhat warm this morning so I will be haeded out to work in the gardens once the kids get up and have breakfast..

I got a card yesterady from stacy...lol its oo cute I have to share as soon as I figure out the scanner.. Which Im working on now.. Its a great big white fluffy cat sittinng on top of the dryer with socks stuck all over it and the inside says .. So how was your day? So cute thanks stace I will head to walmart today for ink and get back to sketching...

You can just take a pic of it-that is what I do sometimes:) Hope I sent enough $$-I wanted to pay for most of an ink cartridge..

LOL, the other night, a deer was out there nibbling on my bush, They have really done a number on the Arbor Vitae and the lil bush in the back. heavy sigh.

Donna I no here that I can take my Ink cartage's To the Drug store Walgreen's and they can refill them and it cost about 6 bucks.
Maybe there is a place for refills I was just thinking (Oh No Not again)
Good Morning all I see everyone is busy I slept late today I am getting so excited This will be a great adventure and may be my last as my rent has gone up and all the bill so I have been looking at buying a house instead of paying and doing all the work on it I might as own it
When I come back I will start to look and they say its the best time for First time buyer so I have an appointment with a guy I work with who is trying to start his own company so I will here him out and look to see what is out there

Its cold again 0 and -15 wind chill so I have no idea what to do Maybe go get a burger later

You can just dmail me your recipes... and I'll print them out and have Mike translate as they come in... He'll have to type them up on his computer, though, and print them out from here... his computer has an extra row of keys on it that has the German letters with the accent marks... strange.
So, I will either get some of those recipe card printer papers, with the perferations... or I'll compile them in a book like something or other... will need to figure that out later...

Dusty... I know you're a very busy lady... but I'd love to know if you might have brushed by my brother before they shipped him home from Nam. He was killed July 5th, 1968. Were you there then?

I have just talked with Stacey and on Tuesday I will be leaving for her House BBBBBBBBBBut why I was talking to her my other line was ringing so I called the Answer machine and Low and Behold It was Judy ( Seedtosser 1) So I am start out with Judy first I will meet her at her house than might go for 2 buck hambergers it will be the First time we will meet So I will start my pictures and not develop them until I get home so you will all have to wait for the pictures. I don't know if I will be able to sleep I am so excited
By The way I try yesterday to call Cody but no answer and no call back yet I hope she is OK. Baby girl get well soon

Cindy we got married at The Wedding Chapel At Caesars Tahoe in Stateline, NV, which is the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe. The night before party and the reception was in Cabo Wabo in Caesars, that was off the hook. We had our pictures taken up on a rocky hill on the lake, it was snowing on the other side of the lake and we were watching it move in on us. Let me find some pics.

Kim after renting, there is nothing like home ownership, and you're actually building equity when you make a house payment instead of building someone else's equity for them. You can do what you want with the house when you want without having to ask someone. I love owning a home.

Oh Crissy how pretty. You look like you are freezing, lol. Yep when were there in 07, when we woke up Sunday morning there was SNOW!!!!!! It had snowed all night and some of the roads were closed. And STUPID us we decided to go home a different way. We took 89 to go around the lake, lol. STUPID!! STUPID!!!! a snowplow passed us going the other way turned around got up along side of us, lol yelled at us to get behind him and stay there. He was shaking his headed. It was very scary especially when I looked out my window and there was the edge of the road and the ground was WWWWAAAAAAYYYYYY down there and then there was the lake. Rick said he had had enough snow to last him the rest of his life. Yep he hates it!!!!

On Chinese New Year, yes, drinking and gambling is part of the celebration. They bring out the best brandy and whisky.
I was reminded when the town's only Chinese restaurant owners invited us over tonight for a "Steam Boat" dinner.
There's this hot pot with broth, over a low flame, where you 'cook' your own meat in the broth. Yayyyyy... last time I had that was in Houston!

Good morning ladies. I've been MIA on this thread but busy working on my Glad Coop.

I'm still trying to learn everyone's name on here. The story of heaven and hell is a great analogy on how we should live our lives. I hope that I'm one who will be in the room all fat and happy.

Hearing all the stores on Nam remind me of one of my favorite movies, The Notebook. I cry everytime I watch that movie and it seems TV has been playing it at least once a week.

I totally missed the previous thread. Yes, I'm guilty. I jumped threads without catching up on everything I missed. I know there's so much going on with everyone. My prayers and hopes are with all that are having difficulties, and of course with all those that are doing fine, praying for continued good health and happiness.

I keep talking to my hubby about looking forward to my trip to Ohio this Spring/Summer. He's nervous that I will be kidnapped and never seen again. LOL. He said something about you all feeding me Lilly's and me poopping bulbs and him having no way in saving me. ROFLOLOLOL. Sorry, just had to share. TOO FUNNY. Wow, what a vid imagination. Just like a kid. LOLOLOLOL.

Anyway, I have my list of homework from Dusty. Not doing so well fulfilling the list. I searched on Friday for a Pasta Maker and even looked to purchase a brand new one from the store. NO LUCK. I couldn't find any in the stores. Anyway. I'm still working on it. Just checking in to let you know my progress. None so far.

Love reading the details on what's going on with everyone and their history. I'm looking forward to some great stories when I get to OH.
