Welcome 2009 Gift.
Your gift to your assigned sistah/niece should be in the mail by now. But... like Marion would say.. you can't hurry perfection. So, if you think you're gonna be late sending it out, dmail me, and I'll inform your sistah/niece.

ME 1ST
me 2nd!!
Had to post this beautiful pic of Cookie's old pond which is currently Dusty's. Makes me wish for an early spring. Beautiful pond there Cookie.
Morrrrrrrrrrning Sistahs!!!
Thank God I don't need to use voice, if not you'd be seeing hands, fingers and feet flying! Sinus again... got to get that neti pot that Susan had recommended. Ewww.. can't think of cleaning out snot this early!
Laura, glad to see you sweetheart. Looking for a home is nerve wrecking. We understand completely when you don't have the time to post. Your mind is going through warped speed, and tolerance level will be low. But your mum do keep us informed as how you're doing. Surely will keep sending you POSITIVE thoughts. Things always happen for the better.
Cookie, that includes you too. You got a wise Mum and lucky to have a very supportive Bill. If you have university hospitals closeby, insurance isn't necessary. They are very up to par with their medical implements and service. Unfortunately there's none around me, and having no insurance, I have to pay..pay..pay.
Deborah???? Close call with a train???? Don't want to know the details.. PTL you and Larry are okay.
Our prayers do include the safety of SI family too and He does watches over us.
Tina- Tia, are you feeling any better today? I'm sure you have thought it over very carefully on what's good for you. Only you can decide which course you are going to take.
Sistahs and nieces, I agree with Trisha. Send a card to "you-know-who" (name excluded in case she's lurking). She'll need all the cheering ups.
Sorry I got to stop here.. got to get ready now, Kel's tapping his toes.. It's Saturday, and that means shopping :D
Stacey post your gifts here again, there are some sistahs that haven't showed up in the old room.
Cindy.... I agree.. your candles are to die for!!!
OOO-what cha shopping for?? And I sent my card this am along with 5 packages and 6 envies....
Cindy-PLMK when you get the envie and what you think of the beads-they are the ones that are black opalescent-didn't know what color the peacock was, but thought if he had purple in him that these would be real pretty!!
If I was at home I would be staring and my new wallet, but alas I am at work counting the mins til I get to go home.....only 88 more mins!!
I have to wait til I get home....
Oops.. the throw up there is Kim's gift from Robin (Robynzest). I just love the sayings on the throw..
See you all later..
Cindy-check this thread out:

I did.. didn't know Jeanne is into mini world. She's a great person too.
Thanks niece.
OK.. I'm off!!
If anyone here orders from the clematis co-op, PLMK-there is only 1 on there I want and don't want to pay $10 to ship 1.....
I just went over to the AV fourm and had to check out who was winning in the Bingo of African Violets I didn't sign up this Month cause of my Traveling so I think in March if they have one I will be there.
But I was read a short story that a Ladie had put in the fourm and just loved it I dmail her and asked if I could share with all of my Sistah's Her name is Laura her DG name is (Stovall_Gardens) She Said that this story needed to be Shared I hope that you don't mind that I copyed this But this said it all about my Sister's
I wood have done the quote thing but I have forgot. I got it
A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. So the Lord took him to a room where there were several sitting around a table with very long spoons attached to their arms, there was a pot of stew on the table that smelled so good the holy mans mouth watered...but the people sitting around the table were starved and miserable, they could get the spoons in the pot, but not to their mouths due to the length...The Lord told the Holy man that room was Hell...
The Lord then takes him to another room with the same exact set up, long spoons, table with a pot of mouth watering stew...the people there were all laughing and well fed, all very happy. The Lord tells the Holy man, this is Heaven. The Holy man told the Lord he was confused, as they were the same exact places...with only one difference...one was miserable the other happy and blessed...The Lord then told him...the people in the first room are in misery because they only think of themselves, the people in the second room are happy because they have learned to feed each other, and find happiness in what otherwise would be misery...
I find that almost everyone on here have been more than gracious to share their spoon with me and for that I thank you all!! It is so nice that when someone suffers we all can pitch in and if nothing more, offer to help as you all did when I lost my plants...I thank you all and just want to let yall know...if there ever is a day we are in that room...I am sure we will be fat and happy cuz we already know how to care and share...
A BIG THANKS TO ALL!!!
I posted what Rick and I have done with the doll house so far. Click on the link that Stacey posted.
I saw-I can't wait to see it all done!!!
Kim-that is a great story!!
For the past two weeks this has been our project. And we are having a ball. I had to move all of my other stuff back into my hobby room to make room on the dinningroom table for this. In two weeks my daughter and grandkids are coming to spend the night so we are going to have hide all of this. Oh my what a job that is going to be. ^_^
Stacey when did you mail the envie????
That was really cool, Kim, thanks for sharing.
We own both houses (and have two payments) but Bill has always liked the one we're in now better. So a lot of things taken into consideration we moved back here and Dusty and Jim FINALLY moved in next door. Here is the beginning picture of the garden from this summer at the new place.
Cindy-mailed today-I just found them yesterday:) In a bubble envie...
OH WOW!!! Joyce I love it. That is kinda what I want to do when we get some property
So it will take a few days to get here, like maybe Thursday?
Flamingo Kim, I loved the post you put for us to read. It says it all--especially for this group. It is amazing how so many ladies from so many walks of life have come together to share common interest and have formed such a friendship. I, for one, am truly grateful!!!!
Oh Joyce love the pond pictures!!!! See me turning "green"? Lucky lady, Dusty, and I can only imagine what you will continue adding to the beauty. I want a pond but everyone laughs when they see the lake out back--yes, we are right on the lake! Still want a pond!!!
Hope Cody is feeling much better and gets to come home very soon.
Laura, it was so good to see you posting and yes, we are thinking of you!! Not a fun time and I am sure most of us have been through that situation but that still doesn't make it any easier for you. Hang in there, we are supporting you like the "pandas" Jaye posted before. LOL
Deborah plan to be home all day!! Trying to finish up some computer work for the festival and then find a few minutes to get "intimately" involved with my sewing machine!! Time out for me!!!
Well woke up to the birds singing and was sure Spring had arrived!! Now it is overcast and raining--guess it isn't here just yet.
Waving to all I missed--luvs you gals.
Yes, it was a big job and it was a labor of love. There are still a LOT of things I want to do out there and this Spring with no job will be a good time to work on it. I may be begging all of you for the things I need cause I won't have any money to buy anything!!!! ^_^
This was the beginning of the shade garden..
I don't have much but I will certainly share what I have!!! I deal mostly with shade--what am I saying, I have all shade. Sometimes I think about getting permission to thin the trees but if is a real process. So I live with it!!
Geez, don't know where my brain was when I typed that.

So Dusty you are telling me No shorts
You wear shorts here today Kim , you gonna get frostbite!!! Its 22* here
LOL Kim you're not going to Cozumel again and it is winter time in alot of states. The sun is tryint to shine but very overcast and is suppose to por rain again tonight. Last night it rained so hard it woke me up and I deaf as a doornail without my hearing aid, plus it made me have to get up and go pottie, lol.
The pond is frozen on top?
Joyce, I don't have a lot of shade or shade plants but if I have something that you want I will send it your way.

Well, my thing says it's 40 here right now but I don't believe it, the sun's shining directly on it.
Love the yard Joyce! Nice and big, tons of options!
Thanks for the quote Kim, it's very nice. You know, the yards tend to look blah in the winter. I always just remember what I have to look forward to come spring.
Thanks Jaye, yes I pondered it and gave him the what for. all I know is like Kathy I want my "NORMAL" life back. I think the "what for" gave him some thinking to do.
Anyway I have the perfect place for my brugs then, Morning sun and not the heat of the day. I do not have alot of that but will work it out.
Wow Joyce i remember your water pond now. That is one that has to be dug out, one I would like to have but cant right now until I get the ducks put up. I am hoping that will happen this spring. We do have a tractor and "he" said he would do it. I am taking bets now, I do it!!!!!!!!!! I am in the process of "training" them now, I wont let them into the chicken coop and am feeding them in one area.
I have 5 baby quilts with 1 almost done the other 4 are just tops. All but 1 in pinks, the other is for the unknown baby(dont know the sex) yet and daughter wants non gender specific colors. I might get the energy to put them on my quilting wall and take a pic of them all. I do have the house ALL to myself right now and loving every minute of it.
Its funny this baby (unknown sex) is due Sept 1st and that is my grandsons aka Punk boys birthday. Could it be!!!!!!!!!!!!! He told me (punk boy) want a girl cousin........... I want him to have a girl cousin.
All the others that are having new babies (yours or grandbabies), are there any themes picked out yet?????
Oh Kim, thanks for sharing that with us. Yep, we're not in Heaven yet, but we're already, fat, happy, laughing and just plum enjoy each other here!! Absolutely.. a whole room of Pandas!!!!
Tina Tia, Astrid (Canadastrid) posted some links that you might be interested http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/945564/
Susan, how hard is it to grow AVs????
Dusty I know you are going to enjoy sitting by that pond this spring. I see Joyce put lights next to it too. Aaaawww I'm wishing for one on my dream list.
Aunt Cookie-you can have splits of anything I have or seeds or whatever you want-I also have a place here that sells perennials for $1 each, so start making your wishlist honey and LMK:")
Autie M-what ladies (snortin) I see a group of woman, but not sure about the lady part;)
Jaye,
For me to grow avs from leaf is nothing... I use to HATE THE THINGS... Ok what one would you like me to take leaf from and start for you? They like I think a north facing window but if we meet I can bring you a lamp and you just put a fluorescent bulb in there and keep it under about 12 hours a day and she will bloom all year you....
Hugs,
Susan
Hello everyone
You all move so fast I didnt even get in on the last thread...lol
Max got home around noon just as I was finishing up around the house and doing alittle reading.. He was smiling from ear to ear driving the company truck. He said he had to be back in at 330 am but his boss was meeting him there and he was able to keep the truck instead of the boss picking him up.. Then He smiled even bigger and asked if I wanted to see the pictures of the puppies I get to choose from... They are sooooo cute and Wednesday wont come soon enough for me to be able to see them myself.. He lucked out and they ran up to the fence when he dropped his boss off so he snapped a few pictures on his cell phone.. 3 black and tan and 2 red and tans...
Then after a bit of chatter I headed out to get some yard work done. I mowed teh front yard, Max trimmed all teh mexican petunias back, cleaned up under the old shade house we are tearing down sinc ethe pipes rusted out to beyond repair. Its not doen but I put a huge dent in it and tomorrow the rest is in for trouble... LOL Then the rain ran me inside so Max is cooking dinner and I thought I woul dcheck in...
Joyce Your pictures are beautiful! They really make me miss home seeiing the country like that..
Jaye your pond is to die for!

She is a fellow DG'r and a daylily breeder/grower, and a very special person to me...Her Brother was one of my patients in Vietnam...and one of my prized daylilies is named after him, created by Curt Hanson, the renowned breeder....This is the Jerry Hyatt...
That's not Jayes pond Donna honey.. its mine...used to be Cookies...

Was pandoras box and he smiled so big and sent the guy that was digging my clums to get me a few.. I was so thrilled nad he was so nice.. He dhut down not to long ago due to bad health and I didnt even know until I drove out there and found the signs taken down and a gate up.
