It's a good thing that you all seem to be busy this morning since I really must start to limit my chat time. I find I love talking to you all more than getting anything done! The last two days have been bad and I really must have the strength to get off the puter and work.
I did finish one of the T-shirt quilts and got the other top almost done before I quit last night. Today should see the end of it. I am going to St. Louis in a couple of weeks and want to take the one to my DSIL with me. Saves on postage (yeh, sure, air fare!).
Tomorrow back to work...so talk later.

I'm off to run some errands today... got to go visit the school and ask some questions that Michael would like to know (plus, I should probably at least know where the school is before he gets here)... and I have 3 large boxes of books that we've finished reading and really don't want to keep, maybe the library wants them... plus, I have no groceries, so I better do something about that... then Don will be home around 3 this afternoon... so, I'm probably going to be MIA the rest of the day. Then Don is off tomorrow, and we're going to be busy with some other things ... so, MIA again tomorrow, probably.

DSD would love a climbing tree, I hope we can find a good house that has one.

Jaye, we had wanted to move out for awhile, so it’s a mixed event. I don’t think our area has been hit as hard as some, I don’t think there is a huge amount more for sale signs than normal. We also have until the end of March to find a place, which helps, though we would like to be out before that. I wish we made enough to buy, I’d buy this house in a sec. we can afford the mortgage and property tax, but can’t get a loan, even though DH’s credit it great.

Yep Kathy that is what they do to us, but it is well worth it ^_^ You know the plus side of chasing a 2 yr old? Losing weight, lol. Been there done that and loved every minute of it. Wished my daughter would have 1 more a boy.

Hello Sistahs!! Kathy do we need to send a care package? LOL AH, the joys of having a grandchild in the house. My 3 yo eats non stop--mostly fruit but does love marshmellows.
I am so happy you and Mike have Pamela with you--best for all concerned.

Jaye, are you okay? Please let us know as we are definitely "worry warts" where our sistahs are concerned. Check in when you can==provided you want to share.

Laura, I am so wish you luck with what is facing you now. I am still unpacking and disposing of things. Just hang in there and it will all be behind you soon.

Well, I'm so busy at work I don't know what I'm doing or who I'm doing it for LOL! The weather outside is gorgeous, and I'm happy happy happy today and don't know why! Maybe cause the happier I am the more upset the other secretary gets which makes me even more happy lol I'm horrible but can't stand someone whose always frowning and gets mad and yells at others for being happy.

Had a busy day, tired and headache, got some new flower catalogs I am planning to curl up and check out and my 7 item swap is NOT going as planned so I am frustrated and I need to watch the weather for the 4" of snow we are supposed to get tonight:((((

Oh Stacey, not more snow! YUCK! We will all be so glad when spring gets here. It was like 30 when I got up at 7:00 this morning, but it is 64 now, so I can't complain. But still have to wait to plant anything here, till the end of March, then all will be safe.
What kind of seed catalogs did you get?

Kathy, I just got a long handled wooden spoon, and when the kids got out of hand, I just smacked it on the table to get thier attention. It works every time! I never hit them with it, just the table ot counter top...

Well, it is windy and warm here. Now just tow days ago things were frozen and we had fog so thick you could cut with a knife. How would you like to drive in that at 5 in the morning, NOT FUN!!! Talk about scary, I get disorinted.

Joyce, you sound like you are a little excited about going to Bj's? LOL Way to go. I wish I coudl say if I am going or not. I have to wait till it gets closer to the end of May. I am flying to Michigan next week-end to get my Dad, and will have him for the next several months. If I can convince my Brother in Washington that it is his time to watch Dad, I can make the trip to Bj's, but time will tell.
Cindy you gotta be careful driving in that fog like that. Never know what is just ahead! Glad to hear it is getting warmer for you.

LK, Luckily I don't have too anymore. But when my husband was alive and had a DUI so I had to drive him to his boss' house an hour away then drive back home by myself.

Wahoo, doing the happy dance as Tink would say!!!! You are right let the fun begin. I am planning on going provided nothing unforseen takes place. Won't even think about that--thinking positive.

I still have to find out the cost of an airplane ticket. Still planning to go, though! I'll check on a travel agent here, but I don't think we have one.

Cindy I'm from Modesto and drove many years in fog like that, I know exactly what you're talking about!! We had fog here a couple of weeks ago, you could probably see 1/4 of a mile, everyone was freaking out LOL I just laughed and said, "Drive in it when you can't see the end of your hood!" I'm happy with 1/4 mile distance. I've only been here for a couple of years so I remember well.

I heard on the news that 2009 is supposed to be the cheapest travel year that we've had in years. I know cruises are really cheap right now.

Crissy I just hope gas prices say where they are and not go up in the summer months. Speaking of cruises, I hope Kim gets her picture taken with some live flamingos on her trip.

I wanted to get out of CA and Dave (DH) told me when I was set up with him lol that he was moving to Arkansas and getting out of CA. I got all happy cause that's a lot closer to Nashville TN (I love Nashville) and it's still in the South, so he asked me to marry him, we got married April 23rd 2006 and moved April 2007. I love everything about it but the weather LOL

That sucks about the cost of the flights going up. Too bad you couldn't wait a couple of months.

OK ladies, I need help! The sewing machine finally got to me. This stopping every few minutes andhaving to rethread was frustrating me. So I took it back to repair for the third time! They seem to feel it is a little bit of something that the thread is getting caught on and then makes it shred. I agree but hope they can find the problem.
In the mean time, that machine was very old and like a car ,sometimes it is time to trade it in. So I am looking for a new machine and I need your help in making a decision.
I know many of you have expensive machines but I know you have priced all kinds. I want a simple machine that will do quilts, pillows, curtains, that kind of thing. Nothing fancy. I want it to be portable so I can take it to classes and teach Stacey to sew. I also don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it.
The store has recommended a Pfaf, not a computerized one, comes with a floating head, $ around 429. What do you think?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
