Hi Cody....just keeping busy....or sleeping....depending how I feel at any given moment lately.

Jaye, I inherited the Big Bow when my father passed away....two of the Birdsalls and the Munos were gifts from my brother in law...he collects art. As usual you and seem to be in agreement on our likes and dislikes.

This site has some of Byron's works.........

Cody, we really don't know much about you, except for your son and 50 roses!
Tell us, do you like to craft... or is it only plants that interest you.

Cathy you must be feeling better!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Bill will be home soon, better get dinner ready.....talk to ya later....otherwise have a good night!

Coushatta, LA

Trisha hope you feel better soon.

When it's din-din time for Trisha.. it's beddy time for us.
Birdsall's works do reflect "Edo"ism... (ouch, for lack of a better word)
Drawn to "Brotherhood of Venerable Trees". Thanks Trisha.

This is a nail biting game.. Buckeyes ahead now.. 38 seconds to go..

Go on with your bad self Cody!!! That's amazing work!! Awesome!! Sistah Judy (Seedtosser) does that too.
Takes lots of patience, which you evidently have.

Texas won.

Coushatta, LA

That is the kind of stuff i sew.It has to have pictures on it.I scan it on my scanner to put these things on the thread.

Coushatta, LA

Thanks it take time.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I don't have the patience at all Cody. If you could do something painstaking as that, then you certainly have the patience to learn anything and do it well too.

It was a great game, Donna, the Buckeyes did play well. Just Texas had the luck at the end..

Time to say hello to my pillows. Good night Cody..
Cya sistahs and nieces tomorrow!

Coushatta, LA

Good night Jaye talk to you tomorrow. Thanks

Trisha-that is my FAVE santa so far with Jayes in right behind it, but you know I am partial to silver for Xmas:)

LK-no-not yet:( I didn't really put any resumes out over the holidays, but got 2 more submitted yesterday:)

Donna C-you don't even know how excited I am!!! You have made me one VERRYYY happy TINKY!!!!!!

I am just coming as I am in May-short and chubby and hopefully snockered most of the time!!LOL-JK-but I am gonna have a great time!!!

DH and I talked last night about our next project for the house and I think it will be the 1/2 bath downstairs-so now I need to pick stuff out and take pictures and let him pick from the pics-that is how we work it at my house!!LOL If we go to a store to pick something out, he is off in one design style and I in another, so now I pick what I like-several selections, and he picks from those selections-seems to be working so far-worked with the paint colors for the living, kitchen, and bedrooms, worked with the hardware for the cabinets, and the couch....so to my shagrin, not sure if I can get my tattoo-oh well-I will have it someday....but we will have a pretty bathroom instead-I should take a pic of this thing-it is tiny-has a big ole cabinet sink, and a wall size mirror above it, which are both coming out-a pedestal sink and a nice smaller framed mirror will go up, it has one of the old cheap brasslike light fixtures which will be replaced with a more modern fixture w/ brushed nickel like finish, it has vertical green and cream striped wallpaper with various sized stripes and this linoleum that has huge squares of green and white......I can't wait to get it done!!!

MORNING LADIES!!!! Tea and crumpets in honor of the recent hottie Peirce-arrr-that is one good lookin man!!!! My fave James Bond!!

Morgantown, WV(Zone 6a)

Do yall ever feel like you dont have enough time to do all the things you want to do...much less the stuff that needs doing?

I have material for 4 window treatments and a dresser cover.....but before didnt have heat to do those. My house has been wrecked by six kiddos being home for 'vacation'. I wanted to 'winter sow' a few more things. I have several recipes I want to try out.

And still kitchen has to be cleaned, bills paid and laundry.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....sorry just alittle morning whine.

Good Morning! :)

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Heather-that is my feeling every day!!LOL

Cody, that needle work is very pretty. It takes a long time to do things like that. My Mother used to do embroidery, but I never had the patience to do that. She also loved to read, and I never took up that habit either. I like to sew anything. Clothes, crafts, learning to do some quilting now, and I love it. Some day I will have the money to get one of those fancy embroidery machines!
Who all here is joining the black and white quilt swap? Do you have your pattern picked out yet? I am still looking. I find one I like, then I find another one?
Ok, I am off for a shower! Be back soon.

Happy Birthday Laura! ♥♥♥

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kim, that is so pretty. My Mom loved him also, so I would send flowers to her, with the cup and saucer, or teapot, or things like that.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Thank you all for your birthday wishes.

Linda Kay, that cake looks good.

I like to do counted stitch embroidery, though I don’t make the time to do it very often. I love to read, I’ve read 3 books this week.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURA!!!!!!! How are you going to spend your special day?

Cody, that 's beautiful work. You've been holding out on us! Whe else out there has secret talents?????

Trishia, your silver santa is one of your best. The trim is beautiful and perfect for the fabric.

Sistahs, I'm soooo serious about my 2009 pledge to get organized. I spent hours cleaning out my bathroom cabinets yesterday. My muscles are sore today from all that time bending, stooping and sitting on the floor. There were drawers full of cosmetics, samples, hair products, skin care products, etc. I must have found a dozen bottles of body lotion - most almost empty. Once finished with the cabinets (a little more to do) I'll move to the closet. It got cleaned last year so it won't take long. The BIGGIE will be the walk in pantry in the utility area and the cabinets in the laundry room. May have to rest up a few days before taking on that project.

The trees are still covered with ice. It's really pretty. No problems with the roads - which is good. Need to get out and run errands today.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Debra, Thank you, I'm not sure what I'm doing for my birthday. Sean's dealing with the kids this afternoon, so I can do anything, just not sure what I want to do.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Cody, that's beautiful work! I used to do embroidery work, crewel and counted xstitch, but my fingers wont let me, now. I love the purples!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Happy Birthday Laura!! Enjoy to the fullest doing whatever you wish to do.

I sure need coffee this morning. Who has some? Worked until 3 am on this mail out. For some reason my computer just started doing "goofy" things--what! It might have been the person pushing the keys. Hummm wonder?

Lovely word indeed, Cody. Thanks for sharing with us.

LOL so hard Heather. Haven't we all said that at some point in our lives. There just isn't enough hours in the day. Guess what there still aren't for me and I don't have children at home. Hang in there, vent if need be, we are here and at sometimes have felt just like you do.

Linda Kay, nope haven't decided on my pattern for B & W but have it narrowed down to about 5. Will make final decision soon. Must finish with the festival business before doing the fun stuff. Bummer.

Flamingo Kim, just hows you how much value of things like the music box increases. Don't overdo it at the tanning booth!!

Well back to the database. Hope you are doing better Kathy. Thinking of you, sending huge hugs and prayers!!!!!!!

Debra when you finish would you like to come visit me? Share my excess fabric with you for cleaning my cupboards. LOL

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Kim,Linda K and Debra,i did all that by hand.It does take time when you do it by hand.

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Cody, love the embrodiery. Never did anything that complecated. I used to do counted cross-stitch, may again someday, but now quilting has caught my eye again.
My favorite, hot love scenes are of Pierce Bronson and Rene Russo in a movie whose title I don't remember, but he is an art thief and she is with the insurance company. They start at the front door and go up a flight ot stairs into the bedroom shucking clothes the whole way. You only see it if you rent it cause they cut that part when they show it on TV; but oh, boy it can curl you toes!
I have caught the cleaning bug from you all. All I could dream about last night was cleaning out my house so I can retire and move. I have so much "stuff"; needs to be divided into keep, give away, throw away!
I cleaned the whole house and the basement in my sleep last night and woke up tired! Need to get all the kids together and have them do the heavy work and take what goodies they want before "out they go".

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Audrey and Marion.

Coushatta, LA

Thanks Janice.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Janice, no matter who you dispose of getting ready to move, you will be surprised how much more can go when you do. I am in that stage now. No idea why I kept some of the things I did. Guess I still felt guility as some of it was hubby's but really no sentimental connection--ie: match box collection, book matches so on and so forth. Yeap, all gone now. I even had a box of about 200 keys with no idea what they went to. Son took those--why I will never know other than being like his dad.

Good luck with the process!
