I hate to start the new thread with this but it needs to be stated:

Okay...had a call from Sis Kathy. Kathy and Michael are leaving for Florida at 4:00 am to go get Pamela. (The DGD) Seems that after her daughter found out about her "might be gay" husband that she started using crack. Kathy found out from the DDs roommate today. She checked herself in to a clinic to kick the habit, but Kathy is not leaving Pamela with the roommate (male). She doesn't know him and wants to have the baby with her. She said to please pray for her (them). As I know you will. She said she will be back on by Tuesday or Wednesday. She has had a really crappy time of it lately. Said that Sissy will have to wait a few days for her surgery cause this is more important. She needs our prayers big time.

My prayers are with you Cuz Kathy... but I'd be doing the same thing if it were my grandbaby. Have a safe trip.

I've sure got to get up to speed on what to do with an 18 year old pretty quick now... not much time to come up with ideas to keep them occupied... Austrian kids can't be that different than American kids in that they need to stay occupied... but with what?
Hey, maybe she'll enjoy playing with some clay... maybe make herself some beaded jewelry, or something. He profile said nothing about crafts, but maybe she'll like it anyway.

Prayers offered for safe trip for Sis and Michael and they'd get the baby home. They certainly chose to do the right thing.

BJ, you'll be fine. Don't over stress yourself on the house. If she come from the city, first thing she'd be amazed with is the spaciousness of your home and it's a PERFECT home!!
You'd too be cooking with her, just try to think metric when explaining :D

Kim, if you and Susan are coming to MB next weekend, maybe Tina in MB can join us. Would love to treat you all to a good meal.. besides the hugs. Would also set you both up in a motel so you can rest overnight. That's the least I can do for my sistahs.

Maid M... no snacks at all tonight. We can do it!!! Maybe that will take care of our sinus issues too :(

Jaye I am confused what or who is MB I am lost and I won't be leaving until the 28 of Jan next week I am in Cozumel until the 17 I will do some research here and get back soon

No snacks for sure here!! Not even sure there will be dinner tonight as all I seem to want is hot tea--mint at that. It is really bumming me out I can't keep the girls tomorrow but no sense in giving them is mess. They just called to "blow me love" so I would feel better. Oh if it worked like that.

I am just sicken with all Kathy has been through lately! However, like BJ, I would be doing the very same thing. The baby is an innocent in this and deserves to be taken care of by those who love her so much.

That is one lucky exchange student BJ. What an adventure for her to be living with you and Don on the lake. You will be fine and I am sure the house isn't bad. We just naturally panic when we here someone is coming. Relax and enjoy and do tell us all about her. What part of Austria?

Susan and I talked about it to see how far you are from her house it is 4 hours and 16 mintues Susan need to see if she can take time off So we can drive But I have to be at Susan's for the Supper Bowl Game to watch it with her DHubby and at half time go and smoke a cigar that will be Feb 1 Sunday from there we play by ear. We will talk once I come back into the country after the 17th of Jan If you got this far reading it you are doing better them me cause now We all are confused. Story of my life but it works ^_^

Just wondering what ya all would think of a Fabric Round Robin. I have all this fabric that I want to get rid of. It belonged to my aunt who passed away, and she had made clothes for my counsins in the late 60's early 70's. I have no use for it. So I thought a round robin would be cool then it would give everybody a chance to get rid of the old and get some new. These pieces are all different lengths. So it would be like replace what you take, just like they do the seed RR. You could take the whole piece or just 1/4 of yard. So what do ya all think????????

When it get's closer for me to leave I will be a calling I think that I have most of your address and phone numbers. I have to tell you we have coolers in the room and always stock with water pop and beer so A Tomato Juice and beer( Bloody Beer) I will be having in the Morning Cause the bar doesn't open till 10 am than I can have umbrella drinks I will have my sister take some pictures this is a once in a lifetime trip with my sister and I am so happy and she is to away from Phone Kids and her DH she needs a break

Picked up Laura and Sage at 11:30, delivered Sean to work, went to the grocery store, came home and made lunch, then we went over to baby sit Orion for an hour, it started snowing on the way home. We have been working on a leather project and trying to get some photos e-mailed....Program is not co-operating. Have to get dinner, take Laura and Sage home as there is school tomorrow, the have to pick Sean up at 9:30.....hope the snow gives up soon.....don't want any more!

DH had a club meeting at three, rode his bike over, didn't take his phone......now it is dark and snowing. I don't know the people where the meeting is so I can't call. I realize he will probably get a ride home or call me to come get him........but it really upsets me when he does this......after almost 40 years you would think he would learn that I worry and then I get mad!!

WEll, need toget dinner on so we can Sage home by bed time. Talk to you later.

UPDATE... Well, Irene was placed in a host home by another region this weekend, and not taken off the list... so, she won't be coming to my house.

BUT, Michael from Austria will be here in about 2 weeks instead... he's 15years old, speaks 3 languages... (doesn't that blow your mind that Europeans speak more than their native language?)... and loves soccer... he wrote such a lovely letter, and now we're all excited again.

I've got so much to do now to get ready for him... like, get all the pink out of that bedroom and bath, and get all the stuff out of that closet so he'll have a place to hang his clothes... and just basically, clear out that room.

Everyone get well, ya hear? I'm going to need you to be my support group.

OOooo... I just happened to think... Cedric & Bailey will come to my house while Michael is here... that week should be really fun.

Sounds like a lot of fun......and he can help with the heavy stuff!

Still snowing, it is supposed to turn to rain before morning......nice slushy stuff....oh good.....
