Kim, you have a very pretty house. I like the color of your walls. I found a pattern to make a slipcover for my recliner. Now it's time to do some math to see how much fabric I need.

I received some good news and bad news yesterday. Good news is received a letter from SSD saying there was a change made to my benefits. Scared me because the amount was reduced. So I called SSA they told me I'm receiving two checks a month one for widows pension on my late husbands SS and one on my disability. Buy them paying me this way I'm getting $288 more a month. Plus a backpay check.

Bad news is Rick will be laid off come 1/2/09 for about a month. That means he will be underfoot 24/7 for 30 days. OMG what am I going to do???? I think I will call my BGF and go to Reno for a weekend with the back pay check. Sounds sooooo good to me, LOL

hey Kim, you got a great idea there and you're right they wouldn't be painted like I wanted them to be, but he could do all the primer painting.

Good Afternoon Ladies !!!

Don't call the troops out on me... I know I've been missing... but I'm ok... really.
Just working on a few things that have needed my full attention.

Was hungry, so I thought I'd come have lunch here with you all. Ya know, I bought one of those tiny loaves of party sliced bread (know what I mean?) to serve at Christmas with some spread as an appetizer... and I forgot to serve it. So, yesterday I put some garlic butter on it and toasted them in the oven ... making sure they got good and dried out, and crisp... WOW, they're delicious... I think I've eaten the whole little loaf.

Talked to Kathy this morn, her appointment is this afternoon sometime... she said she'd call someone to let them know so they can post here what the doctor finds.
Also talked to Maid Marion this morn... she's babysitting again this morn... and I got to talk to Katy Beth too... such a sweety.

Don flew to OK City this morn, will be home tomorrow, and back to OK City again the next day... don't make sense to me, but that's just the way his company does things... I wish I could have just gone with him so he didn't have to travel so much, and we could have enjoyed some time away from home together... but, he said it's ok because he'd rather come home and put the Christmas decorations away anyway.

Well, lunch break is over... I'm off again... will try to check in a bit later.

Waiting on Sis Kathy to tell us what will be done to her. Hoping all will be good news.

from personal experience having lived and divorced in Illinois...... let me ask this ...do you get along ? can you talk and agree on things between the two of you without a arguing and or have two friends that can sit with you to keep things calm and fair?
If yes then if the two of you can sit down and talk things over as to who gets what and have your list ready (regardless)
if he wants the house and you are both on it then he has to buy you out on your half.
get it appraised for the market value
then he pays you half of that or you sell the whole things and split the money.
Anything that has ever been given to you as a gift is Yours he can not touch it and has no claim to it...including inheritance.

anything you bought together then you divide.

Any bills that he has incurred since your split then he is responsible for not you and vice versa.

If you do not get along and can not talk then yes get an attorney......just know that in the long run if you two can agree on things in talking without an attorney it would be cheaper...and you can go to the court house and get the needed info on the papers to file and the fess would be cheaper then using an attorney you just have to let them know that you are not using one and things are spelled out in black and white and you are both in agreement then it an go through faster.
it would go under irreconcilable differences.
