My friend provided me with the shirts she wanted in the quilt. Her partner said, get some of those out of here, since they were piling up all over. She collects shirts like we collect fabric; got the picture?
My DD sent me the ones for her hubbies quilt.

Cool idea.............I wished I would have kept my late husbands 49er shirts. They would have made a super quilt.

That is going to be a wonderful quilt....what a great idea!

Lady D, are you using a good quality thread? I've found that some of W*M's cheap ($1) THREAD DOES THAT WITH ME. i QUIT BUYING IT, THE OTHER SeWs good.

That is true. Maybe the thread, although it happens with more than one kind of thread in there.

Kim i got a Camcorder for christmas.That was my son got a kids camera for christmas.It's made by V-tech.Yes i took it my self that is why my mouth is not in it.

Lady D when is the last time you changed your needle? What size needle ......is it properly in place and securely tightened? Also are you using bobbin thread in the bobbin or the same thread as your top sewing thread? Sometimes the balance between the top and bottom, if out of balance.....can cause breakage.

I just jumped on for a couple min. so I just scanned, but wanted to let everyone know there is nothing wrong, just don't have the kids to force me onto the computer and I have new toys to play with.

Got home late tonight from GD sitting as DIL wanted to work late so as to have a half day of tomorrow. Just dropping bye to say I am alive but tired.

Jaye, no I don't get down on the floor and roll around with the girls. Truly my knee will definitely not allow that. Do spend a lot of time pushing them in their swings, doing crafts, reading books and 1 movie a day. I truly am enjoying it and getting an education all at the same time. Oh my, I don't remember my children know what they know at this age. The challenge for the day from the 3 yo: Grandma tell me about starfish's tentacles! Duh!!!!!!

MORNING!!!!

I just trucked into work after getting about 3" at my house, but only about an inch here-funny thing was last night at 11 when I watched the news we were supposed to get under an inch and here at work was supposed to get 3-4"-looks like the storm shifted...Freeways weren't too bad, but the 40MPH winds kept me at 45MPH all the way here-everytime I tried to speed up the wind would catch me and push me all over the place, so I peed off about 50 other cars this am-teeheehee;)

I am having the hardest time deciding on my wood patterns-I have my $50 GC from my Bday from you all, and then I have $50 from Xmas from Gpa and I want to get the grinch pattern (and maybe the garfeild one) from Ebay and want some wood to make some too-I still have the pavers to do too:) I know w/ the CG I am getting 4 patterns and some carbon paper....

I had such a great time with my mom and my Aunt, Uncle & cousins....my mom thought my craft area was TOOOO messy, so her & I cleaned and organized it up!!LOL It is my aunt and uncle I am the closest with-he was the one that taught me to drive and did a lot of the "dad" things with me....

I need to find a mini pug calender after work today-I always have on hanging at work and need one for 2009....and I want to hit up this Michaels by my work to see if they have better Xmas crafts left than the one by my house did.

Well, I haven't heard from Lisa, she's having a hard time hearing, so I'm waiting to call her.
My knee is no better yet. I slept great, but kept waking up sweatting. Guess my sugar was sky high, he told me it would go up.

Pork and sauerkraut at our house tomorrow. Son called and said would you guys and GMa and GPa come for Honeybaked ham on New Years Eve? and are you having pork and sauerkraut on the 1st and what time do you want us to be there? So LOL I guess I'll be having some in for our OH traditional NYD meal.

Went to the mall yesterday and had a ball. Got some great Christmas presents for 2009 now to just write it down so I remember and don't buy for those people again! There is a new Crate and Barrel store there and I had never been in one before. Love it... Had lunch at Cheesecake Factory (GF and I split a salad, drank water and didn't have dessert...are we good or what????)

Have to head to the grocery store. I'm making 3 cheese Mac and Cheese to take to son's tonight and I don't have the cheeses. Well for that matter, I don't have the pork and kraut for tomorrow either!

Wish Cedric was here to go to New Year's Eve party with me. Just friends so light supper and then table games or just talk. Probably all home before midnight. We're all getting old!
Cutting out the T-shirt blocks for DSIL quilt today. Looked them over last night and I love the designs. Lots of color, all different towns and meets. Should be fun to work on.
I'm closing the black and white quilt block swap tomorrow. We alread have 12 in just a few days. This gives everyone two months to make blocks.

It did help, but was a pain to assemble-the weird thing is on 1 side, 4 of the holes aren't big enough for paint bottles:( Will have to find something else to stick in there!!LOL It looks so pretty now!! For a couple days at least!!LOL

Sorry I have not been on much, is always busy here... I worked on re potting some of my plants... I love my plants but hate that job... took me almost all day....
I am in awe of the quilting you all can do... I tried it once and no go for me... Your are all beautiful....
We are getting very high winds... The trees all around our house are bending like twigs... It still amazes me that they can do that and not snap... Well at times some have but most of the time it is beautiful to watch...
Kim, when are you leaving on your trip? You better call me before you leave!!!!!
I have an appointment this afternoon with a new doctor and I could not sleep at all lastnight.... I was going to the orthopedic and he found bone spurs in my knee and elbow but he really does not feel this is the reason for my pain... I do have Fibro but he seems to think it is something else then that also... I hate new doctors... So I will keep you posted... Today is just talking and more then likely he will send me for some blood work ups...
Well be back to chat later... Do you all have plans for tonight? I am hoping to sleep...LOL

Well some kind of critter is waking me up the last 3 nite than I get out of bed and start banging on the Walls than I am up and can't get back to sleep till about 3 in the Morning So now I am up. I need to go to the store And Make BBQ Meat balls for tonight I am going to my sisters.

Been mulitasking this am. Look what Rick brought home for me yesterday. 23 of them!!! Now I need to buy some plastic paints and get busy ^_^. Might do alot spray paints or maybe airbrush if I can get my compressor to work. :(

Hey Everyone. My DIL just called and said they are the way, so I have a few hours I can check in here. Got the house all cleaned, and dusted!!! I know, I surprises myself. But I have to say hubby helped too!
I just found the little frog fairy, while searching Google images!

I have a question for all you decorators out there? We got a new love seat, which is a double recliner, and I love it. It is a real pretty dark sage green. Well, nothing else in the living room is green, so I need to at least paint the walls. Right now they are a beige color. Pretty neutral color. So what color do you think would go in the living room? How do I go about picking something to go with it?
Here is a picture, but I can't get the true color to come through. It is more green that what the picture shows.

I have been married for 19 yrs and got out due to emotional abuse(he'll deny it though) and we own a home.What are the benefits to me for either a divorce or a seperation??

I think you would be better off if you hired a lawyer. Is he living in the house? If so I think he will have to buy your share of the house or pay you rent or something like that. When ever I want to know stuff like this I go on line.
