Well Kim, good for you for being able to stand on your own two feet and not needing a man to help support you. I hope you do hear from your son. I've got to cut out some pj and nightgowns to sew for my grandaughter. TTYL

Kim, Bob is 3 months old so she is small right now but who knows? Her paws aren't too big but we thinkg her Dad was a Golden retriever and heer mom was a retriever/Chow mix. So, I don't think she will be too big, she will probably be medium sized (got my fingers crossed).

HI: Just found this thread. It's good there are women scattered all over the USA and other places that have so much in common and can actually talk abou things. Usually when you have a bunch of women together they pair up into little groups and there is always someone left out. Seems like on this site all the SISTAHS ban together and pull for each other.

It is a cold, overcast, foggy day here in Hardeman County, TN. We missed the worst of the snow and ice. It went north of us and south of us. All we got was a little rain and of course, lots of cold. High of 29 today. But tomorrow will be in the 50's and Thurs. in the 60's. Did have lots of high winds Sunday night. When we came home from church no lights on anyplace on River Rd. Several hrs. later lights were restored. Then again about 1:30 out they went again. My hus. was already in bed and asleep, but I was still up and sitting in the bathroom reading. Had to feel my way to a bedside table and the flashlight. Finally went to bed around 2:30 and the lights coming back on woke my hus. about 4:30. Thank God we have a wood burning heater which will heat our entire house to a comfortable degree. Sun. night I was standing on our deck watching the trees blowing in the wind. Several big pines were swaying toward the house and against the night sky they reminded me of giant fly swatters. Now I know how a fly feels when you swat at them with the swatter.

Guess I will go start supper. We are having rutabagars?, rice, tuna sandwiches. For some reason, in winter, my tastes run wild and I want some funny combinations to eat. My hus. will eat almost anything put in front of him, but is really a meat and spuds man. Everyone have a nice evening. LIZ

Hello,

I feel rude, and would like to start off with an apology to Tater55. I was looking back over a thread tonight trying to find a photo, and I realized she had extended an invitation back in early Dec. to come and say Hi in here. I completely missed it! Bad me...bad me. :(

Tater55
Thank you for the invite from the sewing threads many moons ago. I was in the Christmas race to finish 3 quilt projects and get them mailed out in time for Christmas and I completely MISSED your comment to come say hi to this group of ladies. THANK YOU... If I may...I'll plead menopause over rudeness. ..lol

Hmmmmmm.....I guess I'll quickly introduce me. My name is Felicia (I'm a quilter) and it's been 5 days since I touched my sewing machine...LOLOL OOPS... wrong chat thread. hehe My name really is Felicia... and I'm a Gemini, 56 years old. I have two grown kids, and one heart-melting little grandson who's the apple of my eye (like all grand babies are to alllll grammies!) I'm a long time chatter, and have morphed through a few online chat groups over the years (I can't STAND arguing about religion and politics... it drives me nuts). I don't mind an occasional tongue in cheek zinger, but when people get nasty... I disappear. I've finally (happily) settled into Daves G (several years ago), Block Central (a quilt club), and one other blog/chat a friend of mine set up for a small circle of long time friends. I was also a good friend of Ned Hudson's who passed away just before Thanksgiving. He has a memory garden thread here in DG. He was such a GRAND GUY and I still can't believe he's gone.

I work p/t in a cancer center as a Patient Navigator. We find funding for low income people during treatment. It's a heartbreaking job, but also a very rewarding job. I'm a hardcore crafter...lol However...once I took up quilting everything else went by the wayside.

I love ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL! I even make sure the garden snakes are herded off the lawn in the summer before we mow! I am down to one MOOSE of a dog named Yanna (aka Awful Kanaffle). She's mellowed in her old age, but in her youth could have run Marley (from the book Marley and Me) a close second. However, I'm not a purist... if a spider or yellow jacket dares to cross my threshold...it's squished. I respect them out in the yard...but not in the house. *shuddering*

Well.....that's enough for now... dinner calls. I see another hyperlink.. so we do we play a lot of cyber "leapfrog" in here?...lol

I'll try to pop in and visit, but I'm so bad to get side tracked and wander off. I'm not a snob.. .I'm just DITSY at home...lol

I'm the woman those hilarious internet jokes are made from. You know...the menopausal lady who went to the kitchen to get a drink and noticed the light bulb out over the sink...then when I went to get the ladder (to change the bulb) I spotted a pot in the garage I had been look for...so then.. I went to find the plant I wanted to re pot...but saw some blooms that I wanted to cut for a bouquet... so I went into the house to get some pruners and noticed some dishes I wanted to put in the dishwasher... but...it was dim in the kitchen because the light over the sink was out.. so.. I went to the garage to get the ladder ...and I spotted a scared little bird stuck in the window..........and sew on and sew on and sew on...lolol

Night All!! poof*

Hey Felicia, welcome to our thread. Please scroll up a few post, and follow the link to the new room please. We move pretty fast, so don't feel like you have to read everything. You will like the ladies here. Lots of crafters, and sewers, and etc...
I am going to copy and paste all your typing into the new thread, so come and say hello when you get the chance.

Linda Kay
