Why is it we are never satisfied with our own work? I have tried and tried and my "fantasy thingies" never turn out right.......I am still trying to get my "people thingies" to come out looking somewhat human...(that is why I use the little molds for my little Santa and the Mrs.)....I suppose it would be pretty boring if we all liked the same things and were good at the same things all the time?
Okay, I'll just admire it here all by my self.......

I can't wait to see what BJ made!!
WOOHOO-my zip is there!!LOL
I am just feeling very tired and run down today....a little ear ache and a slight sore throat..
I am hopping mad about an email from the boss yesterday-esentially we can accumulate all the vacation time we want, but we can't use it unless she thinks we have been productive enough.....now of course she is taking 2 weeks off for XMas-I wonder if SHE has been productive enough-won't even have been back for a month yet and taking 2 weeks off....I want to cry.......I really wanted to walk out when I came in and read that.....
Good morning sistahs. LK thank you for the link for Annmarie's prayer thread. I believe in the power of prayer that has helped me so much.
Stacey, I'm so sorry sweetie. It's awful to hate your job and have to get up every morning to face it. You will find a new one soon! Hang in there. Don't burn any bridges. Keep your cool and leave gracefully.
Marion, how is your eye this morning? Glad your doctor is keeping a close 'eye' on the nevus (sorry, bad pun) but sorry you have to suffer the consequences.
Donna, that's the cutest picture of your daughter. She looks soooo happy! She's a doll. And congrats to her on her good grades!
Audrey, I immediately added your chess recipe to my collection. Chess pie is one of my favorites and those chess bars are yummy. Always wanted the recipe.
Brenda, hate that your sister had to have surgery but am glad to hear she got properly diagnosed and it went well. Hope she has a speedy recovery. Tell Tony he did an excellent job with the Christmas lights. I love seeing tree lights through windows - we don't have large enough windows on the front of the house to see our tree from outside. Even if we did, there's no one to see it besides the deer and coyotes! LOL!
Trishia, froggie toilet brushes! Lucky you! Bet you're the only one in your neighborhood with anything like that! Yes, model you earrings please.
Yesterday was a long day but my brain seemed to be working. Thank goodness - could not do another day like Monday. It must have been a hormonal thing - long story but several things make me suspect hormones. Some one asked about the MOB dress search. This is the one DD liked best of the short list. Not what I had invisioned, but if she likes it then I'll wear it. Will look a little longer before making the final decision but need to do it soon. (I'll link in a seperate post so I don't lose this one)

Good morning sistahs!
Niece, it's just incredible how some people don't have any conscience at all. And so unfortunate she is one. Take care of that sore throat. Sounds like you has a little infection.
Debra, I love the MOB dress! It is certainly befitting a MOB, so graceful and celadon is a nice color. Just don't wear a granny shawl over it!! Lol!!
Sounds like you had fun Kim, cheering up your sister! Did you bake yesterday, or took the day off?
I'm running late again.. catch you all sweet ladies later!
Well gosh, Kim, I didn't know you collected Santas, angels and harley shirts along with flamingos. You are a well rounded all American girl. "giggle"
granny shawl, Jaye you killin' me I'm laughing so hard! Debra heed Jaye's advice. ROFLOL
You never know Debra.. she might even tote her gun at the wedding to warn her SIL!!!!
Sis Deborah, I found this beautiful poem, thought I'd post this before I go.
Follow the beautiful trail,
wherever God leads you.
He goes with you step by step
with open arms and heart;
trust Him on your journey.
For God is the maker of every dream
and the Keeper of His promises
Linda Knight
LOL! No granny shawls, but it's cold here in March. A pretty metallic parka?
Deborah, we don't train Pharmacy students. We pose as patients for their standardized tests (think ACT tests for senior pharm students but instead of filling in bubbles on a sheet of paper they interact with patients and are scored based on that). We are in simulated exam rooms and the students move from room to room where they interact with 'patients' representing a variety of scenarios. Clear as mud?
I don't explain it very well - this does a much better job. http://www.uams.edu/csc/center.asp
Wow! I wonder if Georgia has such a facility. Augusta or Emory? Every state with medical Universities really needs something like this.
Hi all! Just running through quickly to post for Donna C--her computer is totally down right now and she cannot get online, so if she does not post for a day or 2 don't panic!! I have been swamped trying to get moved and settled in at the new house and have alot of work ahead of me. Hopefully I will be able to either sell or rent out my other mobile home soon and not have to pay 2 lot rents and 2 elec bills!! Lots to unpack still and yard to get in some semblance of order.
Will check in when I can!!
Linda
Morning All,
So Kim, you like Harleys huh. We have 2005 Heritage Softtail. When was the last time you rode? I have been wanting to go on the Toy Run to the capitol, but Rick is too thin blooded. We have chaps but it's still too cold for him. Rick got me the "Bikers" for Valentine's Day. It wiggles back and forth and sings Jungle Boogie.
Debra, the MOB dress is pretty, but I like it in the chocolate better.
Hi Madam Butterfly, how is Aunt Lisa today?
(((((((((((((Kathy))))))))))))))) thinking of you Sis, we miss you hope you are getting better
Good Morning, all! Debra, LOVE that dress, it is just gorgeous! Sorry to hear Monday was so difficult for you... hormones can wreak havoc, I know. Kim, mimosas are a great way to cheer up, LOL! My sister is apparently doing well, I'll be calling her shortly. She (and most of the rest of my family) are back east... small town rural area outside of Buffalo, NY. Thanks again for all your good thoughts and prayers.
I'm grooming all the dogs and puppies this morning, updating the puppy website, then hoping to get on my Christmas baking this afternoon. And, I still have a class to finish writing. Lots to do, hoping you all have a good day.
Brenda
What kind of puppies?
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I'll post some pics later... they are soooo dang cute!
Brenda
A little Christmas cheer ..... for my 'deer' sistahs.

Morning sistahs... dang... I didn't sleep worth a flip last night. First, I remembered when I went to bed (after Don came home around midnight) that I forgot to eat supper. Couldn't go to sleep with my tummy growling, so I had to get up and eat some yogurt and crackers. Went back to bed, and finally went to sleep. Woke up sometime with a foot cramp... then a bad dream woke me up... then, I think I woke up because I heard a strange noise, but I might have dreamed that... don't know for sure. Just a really strange restless night for me...
Debra... I love that dress... but I don't know what's wrong with wearing a shawl with it... maybe not a granny shawl, but a pretty one with maybe a sparkly thread running through it, or something.
Hormones... ugh... that's a mind bending subject.
Kim, what a cute Biker Santa you got from Susan...
This morning I showed Don the "fantasy figures" I made yesterday... he's so impressed what I did with some old ornaments... and he did ask me... "these are actually going to get to stay here? and you really not sending them off to someone this time?... hehehe...
I said, "NOPE... these are staying in my gardens to remind me of all my friends while I'm out working in the yard."
Debra, that is sooooooooooo CUTE. i need to send that to my peeps.
Is there coffee? Did I sleep well last night!! Oh my yes but guess it was coming after several restless nights. My eye is doing okay, thanks all, still not focusing quite right but was told to expect that for a few days. Debra, you pun is just fine!!! Just very grateful it is not anything to really worry about just something I have to have checked yearly.
Love the dress!! Absolutely no granny shawl on that!! Sparkly parka, well maybe. LOL
Are you thinking about going with the green color? That would be wonderful with your coloring. Can you say sexy?
Sistah Jaye, now just why does BJ have to make me happy? Have I been grumpy? Wait--don't answer that!! Eagerly awaiting the pictures of the newest creations BJ. Those are so cute--envy your's and Trish's talents with clay. Just plain adorable!!!
Brenda so happy your sister is doing better. Loved your pictures of the lights. I need to get started on putting our up. Maybe today since I am grounded!!
Deborah, find your information about putting weed killer down? Check the weather forecast please!!! We are suppose to be having really hard rains today and tomorrow along with some nasty thunderstorms. Might want to consider waiting if it is headed your way. How is Aunt Lisa? And Riley?
Flamingo Kim and Cindy, both our biker babes. Love it!!!
Linda Kay when do you go for your doctor's appointment? Tomorrow? Keep us updated on the foot progress.
Tinky, sending a great big hug!!! What do you mean your boss hasn't been productive? Didn't she just have a baby. Sorry sistahs, but couldn't resist. Anyways, Tink, I do wish there was some way to help but know we are here!!!!!
Well ladies, 6 year ago today I became a Grandmother!!! Oh what a joyous day that was. I can still see my son walking out of the delivery room with a grin from ear to ear holding this tiny bundle of joy. Oh the joys that have come since then!!!! Sorry but yes, I am one proud Grandma!!!
Morning everyone. Sounds like you all are very busy, and sick, and traveling. Please be careful in your travels, and hope you that are sick, get better real soon!
BJ, I can't wait to see the new critters! Lets see, there has to be a ladybug for Marion, a fairy for tinky, and turtles for a few of us, and I would like a hummingbird, and maybe a frog too? LOL We can think of more ideas if you need them!
Debra, I like that dress, it is very pretty.
This is what I finished up last night. This guy has a 60 inch waist!!! Talk about t alot of fabric, and trim! Glad it is done. He still has to go and get a better beard, and some gloves, and boots...
LK
Congrats, Marion! I can't wait for that day.
He he, that's one big waistline! Nice job, LK. I kind of like the boots he's wearing. Who's your model?
Oh Debra, thank you. I waited for 7 years. What wonderful times do await you!!!
Linda Kay, show the entire santa please. Wow!!!! He is big!!
Sorry, Trisha, I am having trouble deciding if I like the earrings or brushes best. LOL Who wouldn't have a clean bathroom with brushes like that? Do love the earrings!!!
BJ, hurry waiting for pictures. Sorry you had a relestless night--they are certainly a drain on a person!!
Okay second time I opened it I got the entire picture!! Nice, is that Todd?
He is my Dads caregiver. even though dad has been in Michigan with my sister for a few months now, he still calls, and pops in now and then, He is just concerned about Dad, being in Michigan.
My foot appointment is on Friday, and I hope to be back late Friday night, or Saturday morning sometime.
Marion, you were not in the delivery room? I was with both grandchildren, let me tell you that is just something you'll never forget. We knew what Kain was before he was born, but not with Taylor. But I knew!! Everything was different with my daughter 2nd time. So when we had a baby shower I bought lavender dresses yep. My daughter said Wishful thinking Mom, I said nope I know we are having a girl this time. Wellllllllllllll, when Taylor popped out i didn't give the doctor a chance to say what she was. I YELLED "IT'S A GIRL!!!! LOL
I watched my granddaughters delivery, and it is such an emotional day for sure. Every time I was a baby delivery on tv, I cry. Just a miracle for sure!
LK
Know what you LK, me too LOL. And then they grow up TOO FAST!!! When ever I go over to my daughters I always say "Where did my babies go?" Taylor just laughs and says "Gramma, I'm a big girl now"
No, my DIL had some problems and they had to do an emergency section--only son went in with her. Our relationship wasn't all that good at the time and I doubt she would have wanted or let me go in with them. Thank the good Lord, things have really turned around in the past 5 years. My daughter says the "body snatcher" took the old DIL and replaced her with this one--she really is fun to be around now!!!!
Yes, we knew with both of them and their names. This is my name sake and the youngest is name for her other late grandmother.
I got to see both of my daughter's babies born....I wouldn't have missed that for the world, but with the others...my DILs only wanted their husbands in there...not even their own moms! Husbands may come and go (ask my daughter) but MOMs are forever!!
Well it's good that you are now on better terms. I adored my first son-in-law, but he has some real major issues. Present son-in-law is a very good guy, but really stubborn at times. He is really good with money issues even though he LOVES to gamble. Takes after his mother. She has been in several poker tournaments and won big bucks too. Back in the summer she played in one in Vegas won $3000, then took month long trip to Europe.
I envy both of you but alas I wasn't given that pleasure. Just enjoying the girls now. Was invited to a party Friday night (because I can stay up later Granma) for her birthday. Also informed she is so glad I didn't go to Costa Rica during her birthday. What a gal!!!
Morning Sistahs, not much to report here except ice everywhere.
Biker chicks, whod a thunk!
Surprise Jaye, I've been sewing now for about 50 years. Started when I was 4. We had to embroidered scarves for grandma in KC and crochet doilies for the grandma in CA. I'm not real good but I get by. I make a baby quilt every time a great niece or nephew is born, that means I've done 15 or 16 of them in the past 14 years. Sorry I don't have any pictures of them wish I did now.
Everyone stay safe, warm and cozy today. I probably won't be on much today. Been baking up a storm and still have a bunch to do.
That's so sweet, Marion.
It was so surprising to me, when my daughter was born 26 yrs ago, that my mother was shocked to see what babies look like immediately after being born. (duh, she had two kids of her own) I had a c-section and she wasn't in the delivery room but every family member was in a 'bonding' room immediately off the surgery area. She said she had no idea babies were grey and cheesy. LOL! She said when we were born in the 50's she was knocked out and didn't see us until the next day after we were all clean and pinked up. She thought all babies were born looking like Gerber babies.
ROFLOL nope mine sure did't look like no Gerber baby!!! First question son asked me was "does she look like a troll, Mom?" Even if she had, do you think I would have noticed? First grandchild--no, nada, never!!!
Debra, that was when we had to spend like 5 days in the hospital too. Now they kick them out after 2 days!
Times have changed haven't they?
LK
