Tina, that is what they did to both of my mom's thumbs. I think I will need it done also. Sometimes it hurts to twitter them, know what I mean?

LK, you're just moving right along aren't you. I'm sewing the girls dress right now and ran out of lace ugh! So I'm going start on the boys shirt until I get more lace from my mom's.

HI Everyone.. Waving to alll

Sorry I dosed out last night. I didnt even turn the heat on just went to bed... Will go hunting for the camera for pictures of my wonderful box reveal as soon as I get back from picking Tristen up from school. Max is in th eroom sleeping with the blackout curtains up so i will need to take the flashlight in..

Would have checked in earlier but I was moving furniture this morninng for my friend Christina.. She een sleeping on a matress on the floor and when my old neighbors sister offered a bedroom suite for $150 I told her just to get the money togtherand I woul delier it to her. The neighbor has passed away 2 weeks ago so her sister is just looking to help out someone who needs it with items cheap. Shes even giving us a couch later this week. Anyway Max helped me load the truck this morning and then I delivered to Christina and we unloaded it.. Of course I couldnt just leave so I helped her re--arrange and get everything set up before heading out..

So I am finally home... Whew feels like someone is moving but they forgot to show up... GRIN The smile on her face was more than enough though..

Kathy Bigggg Bearr HUgggss are comming your way.

Will check back in a bit...

Pittsburg, MO(Zone 6b)

Love the SW pottery and the little ponies are so cute. My daughter used to collect those when she was little, now it's Breyers or the real ones (we have 4).

That wax dip sounds fantastic, I could use it after work this summer when I've been on my feet on a concrete floor for 14 hours. I'll see if I can't find one at Wally world and put it on my DH's Christmas list.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

BJ has to make a Frog for Jaye and I !!!

Those Take Alongs sound great! Did they get posted in the recipe thread or do I need to copy it?

Keeping Kathy, Dixie, Lisa and all in our prayers……..also would like to hear from Bon, Jojo, and several others not heard from in awhile

LK your Reindeer are so adorable!!!

Stacey get warm and take care…we don’t want to end up with Fairy Sneezes for Christmas!!!

A hug and Hello to all I have missed…been running today…had to take Laura to Dr. Appt. then she and Sean took Bill and I to lunch for our combined birthday (his was the 3rd) and they gave us a large framed print of the Bridge in the Snow in Carrbridge Scotland that she entered in the photo contest….I have been wanting a print of that ever since I first saw it !!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Well, it was Cindy that gave me the idea, I got the material from her, and I got the lace from BJ. So thanks to all my Sistah's for the Christmas decorations. My granddaughter will love them.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Didn't know which forum to ask this question so I'll start with my gardening sistahs. How soon after spraying a new bed with weed killer can you plant dormant bare roots back into that bed?

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Deborah... I usually wait at least 6 weeks... depending on how much rain you have in those six weeks... if you water the bed yourself... wait about a week before you water.

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

If I water the bed how many times before I can plant?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Beautiful Christmas decor, Brenda. I love a house all lit up for the holidays.

Love those reindeers LK. You really can sew!! I can imagine you will do more for your grandaughter. Can't wait to see your runner once it's finished.

Then Robin surprised me with the statement that she has to "sew" for her grandaughter!!!! Wooowieeee.. more sewing sistahs! Now waiting on Donna.. :D Not that my non sewing sistahs ain't amazing... Lolol!!

Susan, you're amazing!!! I love the pottery you surprised Donna with! ANd surprising her kids too?? Wow.. you're an amazing sistah, Susan.
Look at Tristan!! Her eyes are beaming with her ponies!! Congrats Donna..you're the first to Welcome to 2009!!
I bet Christina will be thanking you once she sinks into her very own bed tonight.

Sis Kathy, listen to your sistahs. Leave everything in God's hands. Admit you're powerless and CAN'T control situations, and turn everything over to Him. He'll have it done, but all according to His will.
In the meantime, give thanks for all your blessings, no matter how little they are. We just love you oodles and hate to see you hurting.
(((((((((((((((((((Kathy)))))))))))))))))))

So Tina-Tia, you won't be playing much with us, once he comes home?
I bet all you'd want to do is feed him huh? Lolol!! Then watch out, Punk Boy would be showing off his moves!!

Tina in MB, Kel has that problem with his thumbs. He takes Motrin for now, and is made aware he might have to surgically correct them. That's a dreadful thought.

Maid M. Are you back from the eye doctor? Hope you don't have to use one of those high powered binoculars :D

I agree with Trisha.. frogs for us BJ :P So proud of so many sistahs here who could be so .......... artistic

Stacey, drink lots of warm stuffs, add a jigger of whiskey or eat bowls of soup. Please don't get the sniffles!

Sis Deborah, might not help what you want to know..
I've never used a weed killer on beds but have used Round Up along the driveways.

http://npic.orst.edu/capro/WhenToPlant.pdf
Sis, check that out if using Round Up and as far as I know, it only affects what you sprayed on, but not the soil.

Sis, maybe you could ask that question in the Beginners' Forum?

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/b_gardentalk/all/

There's bound to be some experts willing to answer you.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Aha.. BJ to the rescue!
I have a DG gremlin that eats up postings and then spit them out a few minutes later :(

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Susan ... Tony is waving with big huggs for his gift card..

Having pc issues but I think I may have fixed it Im not sure yet.... Have written this post 4 times now..

Deborah what are you using and what you are planning on planting in the beds...

Jaye I would sew if I had a machine that wored...LOL This old one I have is about to go out the window.. It Wont work...

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am home and nope no high powered binoculars--oops do trifocals count? Wore those for years!! Will admit I wasn't prepared for what was done today but I will survive. I have a large nevus in my left eye that has to be watched--some can be malignant--so today he decided to numb the eye and put some instruments in and check all around the eyeball. Enough said!!! Everything is still fuzzy with that eye and I don't know as I will be doing any traveling on Thursday. He said it could be a couple of days before it felt okay--it is okay but you know the whole thing about thingees in the eyes.

I absolutely adore the bee BJ made. I never cease to me amazed at all the talent here!!! Just inspires one to do better!!! Ladybugs next BJ. LOL

I do hope (and pray--for sure) Kathy is doing better. She has had enough going on lately.

Tink, take care of yourself. We can't have our resident fairy sick right here at Christmas.

Well looking at the monitor is not so good yet so I am closing --probably for the evening. Give this eye a rest and headache a chance to go away.

Take care everyone, sleep well and hopefully tomorrow I can see better.

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Hehehe Christina is working until 2 am but she already called me before work and said she had layed down like 3 times and she likes it alot.... By the time she works all night and comes home she will really love it.. I have been trying to talk her into subscribing as she just lurks every now and then ... She says she thinks she will do that as a present for herself for Christmas..

She's a hoot... Makes me crazy at times but I love her like family and she knows it...

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Sorry I missed your post above.. Due take it easy and give yourself some healing time.. I will keep you in our thoughts...

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

that was my Mom I took to the doctor.....

Here is what else hopped in.....two of the most adorable little frogs holding scrub brushes.!!! They are sooo cute... THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!

We are running late for spin class, talk to ya later!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Maid M, you rest that eye now, and don't you dare go near the sewing machine!
Happy Birthday Trisha ^_^ You should model the earrings. Wish they're platinum and not silver :(
But at least you have a pair of beautiful toilet brush holders!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Trisha where is the brush pics at?

Does anyone know if I need to place a piece of fabric or batting in between panels on a rag quilt? Or is it just the 2 pieces of fabric sewn together?
LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

LK, I've never sewn a rag quilt. If done with fleece, guess 2 layers will do, but with cottons or homespun cloth, you might need 3 layers.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the info.

Here is a post my 1Anjl, she is asking for prayers.
Please go read.

LK.. the rag quilts I've done, I've used used 3 layers... cotton on the top and bottom, and flannel sandwiched between... I used batting cut smaller on a couple of the hand bags, but not on the quilts. Oh, and also, use cotton thread too... you'll be glad you did.

Beautiful earings, Trisha... toilet brushes? for your birthday?... hmmmmmm... wonder what your sistahs are trying to tell ya?... LOL... jk. Isn't it a bit early for your birthday?... by just a few days.

Awwww... Tristen loves her ponies... and I too love the bowl you got from Susan... how sweet of her to send all of you a gift.

Well, I just baked 4 new critters for my stakes... not telling you what I baked... but I will tell you that I had one of you in mind when I was making each one of them...
Now, I need to think of everyone else while I'm making them, and then I'll have you all represented in my gardens. This should be very interesting.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

BJ, I bet it's a lady bug!!! Got to make our Maid M. happy!! I can wait on the frog.. or lizard.. or.. gnome!!!!!

LK, thanks for keeping us informed. Now we have Ann Marie's stepdaughter to pray for as well, besides Keith.

Yah, Trisha will have clean toilets for sure!! We are clean sistahs, BJ :0)
Sorry Trisha, most of our change went into the jar to buy ourselves an island.. I hope you're not disappointed with just the earrings.

Awww... now aren't those the cutest toilet brushes you've ever seen? My, My... bet you'll have the cleanest toilets in the neighborhood now... cause they'll be fun to use, for sure.

Yep, Jaye... yours isn't finished yet... but I have conceived the idea... hey, that's the first step, isn't it?

I'll post pics of the four I have done tomorrow... right after I clean my toilets with my plain ole ordinary toilet brush.... LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You read that Trisha? BJ got toilet envy :D Lolol!! Too funneeee.

The idea you came up with to make clay sculptures of our favorite critters, BJ.. certainly deserves applause!! We will forever have a 'stake' in your garden.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Do you want a pic of my nice clean toilet too??....ROFL!!!

BJ, can't wait to see your newest creations........those are what I am envious of....:o)

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Too funny, Trisha... I've seen your clay work... and I can only aspire to be as good as your are with your sculptures... I'm just doing fantasy thingies...

No, thanks... you just keep your nice clean toidies all to yourself... LOL.
