BJ, I LOVE that bumblebee, OMG, so cute! Regarding my sister, I am somewhat lactose intolerant, have gotten a bit better over the years since I figured that out (or at least I can predict the outcome of what I eat)... everyone is always ready to diagnose everything with the worst thing, but sometimes it's the simplest things. I think she may be lactose intolerant also, but that would require a complete lifestyle and diet change for her. Not easy. A change in diet allowed me to feel so much better (or expect when and how I would feel crappy)... I hope it's something easy to fix with Dixie, she is, quite honestly, the most loving and giving person I've ever known. Thanks for your good thoughts!
p.s. If you believe it was a miraculous cure for you, then I'm sure it was! Miracles are awesome, eh??!!

That's true... so, we're going to chalk it up to a miracle... right?
I don't know what's next... I'll sleep on it... cause, I'm finished for tonight.
Dang BJ! Let's see what you can do with clay butterflies, gf.
Brenda, yes miracles are awesome!.
Night Brenda, Night BJ...sleep well.
I'll put the coffee on for you when I turn in.....
Hi Deborah!!
Brenda your winter wonderland is just that! A beautiful winter wonderland! I bet cars slow down in front of your house. I remember riding around with mama and daddy looking at outside decorations. Just gives kids the "wow effect"....and adults too.
Hey there Trisha!
Your mini Lady Santa is so cute. Love the material!
Aren't Brenda's decorations beautiful???!! I still like to drive around at Christmas time and look at all the lights and decorations. I don't really care about the gift aspect of Christmas but I love the music, the lights, the Holiday Food!! And what I would give to have snow for Christmas!!!!! Weather says we might get a little dusting sometime next week, but I won't hold my breath.
Thanks:) I have been having fun with them.....I am working on one of the Big Guys right now! What are you up to??
They really are. Now why don't you get as much snow as Brenda in CO?
We are on the Ocean side of the state right at sea level so we get the warmer air in off the ocean...has to be just the right set of conditions to get any snow down here. We get a few inches once or twice a year.....every so many years we will get an occasional storm that lets the snow stay around for a few days........they get a bit more up North of Seattle.
Trisha, I'm trying my best to get clothes washing and all the Christmas decorations out before we leave for mama's house. I did plant some pansies yesterday. My youngest son will come tomorrow and Wednesday and we'll work in the flower beds. He's wanting to dig all my plants up, kill the weeds and lay down weed barrier cloth and mulch. What I think I'll do before laying down the cloth, I'm thinking of putting down about two inches of compost after spraying for weeds. Then lay the cloth on top. I'll wait until I get back from mama's next week to replant the plants into the beds. Then I'll mulch the entire bed. This will need to be done on 7 large beds.
That makes me tired just thinking about it, but I'll bet it will be really nice when it is all done and planted!
Hope you have a really nice visit with your mom.....it's always good to get to see family.
Nite Trisha, long day for me tomorrow.
Night Deborah.....sleep well, going to put on the Mayan Dark Chocolate Coffee for the Sistahs and turn in myself.
MORNING!!!! Bagels and Tea are ready!!!
BJ-those are about the cutest plant markers I have ever seen!!!!!
Wonderful work BJ ya know your gonna have to go into the business of making them cause everyone will want them LOL and I know you are going to make a lady bug next aren't ya ROFL

I started this last night but got busy cooking dinner, then ate, then sat back to relax next thing I know I was heading for bed and forgot that I had started writing this. Rick left for his new job. Has about a 2 hour drive, that's not good but at least the gas prices are down.
Tia, here a is a recipe that will be fun for you 2 to make, it's called:
Breakfast Take Alongs
6 slices bacon, chopped
2/3 cup (1 1/3 stick) butter, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup wheat germ or chopped pecans
Cook the bacon in a medium skiller over medium-high hear until browned and crisp, about 8 minutes; drain on paper towels
Preheat oven to 350 F Grease 3 baking sheets.
Combine butter and suger in a large bowl. Beat with electric mixer set at high speed until mixture is creamy.
Add egg and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat until blended. Add flour, salt and baking soda and mix well.
Stir oats, cheddar, wheat germ, and bacon into egg mixture. Drop batter by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake until lightly browned about 12 to 14 minutes.
Gosh BJ, you have done a FABULOUS job making the bird and bee. I'm with Deborah, let's see a butterfly. If you make a purple one I for sure will buy it from you. You know you are going to have to make us all at least one Geeky Bug for our gardens. We all need to have a BJ original.
Brenda, your house looks so pretty. It's pictures like yours and Betty's that really make it seem like Christmas.
Morning everyone! Several of you up late, and tinky is up early with tea and bagels. Thanks for breakfast Stacey.
Phyllis, your going to have a lovely quilt, by the time you get it all handstitched!
Beautiful Christmas trees, and yard decorations all over the place. Looks like you all are getting ready for Christmas or something!!! LOL It is all very nice. And all the little and Mrs. Santa's are adorable. Do you ever quit crafting?
BJ, I love your bird, and little bumble bee. They are so cute! So what is next, a turtle, butterfly, ladybug, hummingbird, maybe a tweetybird? Can't wait to see any of you girls creations. Theya re sll so nice.
I have a question on the rag quilts? When you put the squares together, do they need the extra layer of batting or fabric, or is it just the 2 layers of fabric, since it is being made into a lap throw? Do they get heavy?
Marion, be good luck at your Dr, and hope they service your car properly.
Have a great day everyone.
LK
Yummy sounds good, I will try to make them with Punk boy this weekend. He loves bacon.
Morning all!!!!!!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr we have already git the high for today and the bottom is falling out. We will be getting that dirty "S" word today. My butt is parked in the house and in front of the fireplace. But it will be a wonder if we all dont get sick with colds here. Will be back up to the 70's by the weekend.
Tia, those Breakfast Take Alongs are really good with some diced apple and they are filling too. Perfect for breakfast on the run yep. When I was working I made those alot.
He loves all them store bought breakfast bars, so I bet he would love these. Especially if he gets to help make them.
Cindy, I believe you are a jack of all trades: Candle maker, tailor, crafter and one heck of a great chef! Don't you agree, Tina?
Tina your weather is fluxing too? cold then very warm here too. I had a Black Swallowtail to eclose yesterday. Thank goodness I have rotting fruit on the stump and some mums blooming. Hopefully he'll fly south to Florida.
Good Morning MadamButterfly,
How are you? Looking forward to your trip? We really need for BJ to make us a Geeky Butterfly right? How is your Aunt Lisa doing? I'm making more candles, will be going to mu mom's then with her to bowling alley to sell some candles hopefully and to see friends. I used to bowl, but quit because of my arthritis.
I'm doing good. The trip to my mamas is long over due. This will be the first time Larry's been to her house in 7 years since she's been up there. Lisa is eating (being fed by a nurse) That's a good sign. I use to bowl and loved it. Our bowling alley closed down tho. Wasn't in a league or any type competition, only for the fun of it. I hope you sell all your candles. They are wonderful. My sunroom smells like a Christmas tree with that particular one. So clean and refreshing to smell.
