Morning Ladies...

Morning everyone, and i'll be waiting for that coffee! Not cold here today, so I think it will be a nice afternoon.
http://www.craftathome.com/Instructional/victorianlightbulb.html
Please go to this link, and look at the light bulb ornament they did. It is so pretty!
Well, we finally got our tree up yesterday. We decided to put it up outside, in the corner of our little patio we have on the new addition. So don't look at the fact there is no siding on the house yet. We are still arguing which type to put up? I like the redwood or cedar lap siding, He doesn't know what do do yet, but I told him it is not going to be stucco, like the rest of the house. I don't like it! Oh well back to the tree, it is done in red and gold this year! I need to go and find a new tree top angel, because after I got her up there, she decided to not work! And because I want a red one, you think I will find one??? Maybe a gold one will work!
Oh well, I am off to finnsh some sewing projects.
LK
Another lightbulb website for you to look at!!!

Wow wow those light bulbs are amazing! How in th eworld did they get those made ???
I think most of the instructions are on the page. Pretty huh?
I am going to Hobby Lobby this week-end, so I will take a look for a red angel.
LK

Morning All,
I love your card Trisha they are beautiful... I to love the mouse ones... Your are very talented ... I also like the light bulb project... years ago I would have jumped on a new project now does not seem enough time in a day...
I am so happy when I walk into my dinning area when I wake up now... I grow strep (av family) and Av's and I had bugs so I had to take all the buds off for a little over a month and spray and dip my plants... Well I am very happy to say I now have beautiful flowers greet me when I get up... Keeps me busy in the winter months and nothing nice to me to see blooms....
Well we are going to cash hubby winning ticket in today and we have to drive about 1 1/2 hours away one way so I will see you all later... Hope everyone is doing wonderful ..... Oh it is also cold here...
Hugs,
Susan
This flower is Roulette Cherry.
A mouse looked through the crack
in the wall to see the farmer
and his wife open a package.
What food might this contain?'
the mouse wondered - - -
he was devastated to discover
it was a mousetrap.
Retreating to the farmyard,
the mouse proclaimed the warning :
There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The chicken clucked and scratched,
raised her head and said,
'Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave
concern to you, but it is of no consequence
to me. I cannot be bothered by it.'
The mouse turned to the pig and told him,
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The pig sympathized, but said,
'I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse,
but there is nothing I can do about it
but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers.'
The mouse turned to the cow and said,
'There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!'
The cow said, 'Wow, Mr. Mouse.
I'm sorry for you,
but it's no skin off my nose.'
So, the mouse returned to the house,
head down and dejected,
to face the farmer's mousetrap . . . alone.
That very night a sound was heard
throughout the house -- like the sound
of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught.
In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.
The snake bit the farmer's wife.
The farmer rushed her to the hospital,
and she returned home with a fever.
Everyone knows you treat a fever
with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer
took his hatchet to the farmyard
for the soup's main ingredient.
But his wife's sickness continued,
so friends and neighbors came to sit
with her around the clock.
To feed them,
the farmer butchered the pig.
The farmer's wife did not get well;
she died.
So many people came for her funeral,
the farmer had the cow slaughtered to
provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his
crack in the wall with great sadness.
So, the next time you hear someone is
facing a problem and think it doesn't
concern you, remember ----
when one of us is threatened,
we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this
journey called life.
We must keep an eye out for
one another and make an extra effort
to encourage one another.
SEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO
HAS EVER HELPED YOU OUT
AND LET THEM KNOW HOW
IMPORTANT THEY ARE.
REMEMBER. . . . . .
EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY;
OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER
FOR A REASON.
One of the best things to hold onto
in this world is a FRIEND.
That is beautiful... Thank you so much for sharing... I agree a Friend is something to hold on to... They are hard to find a True Friend... I feel I have many, many True Friends since Kim helped me find all of you... I thank you all for letting me into all of your life and friendship you all share with me... Even when I can't remember your names or can't keep up with all the postings.... I am blessed.
Love and Hugs,
Susan

Morning all. Woke up late and had to get Punk Boy off to school. All is about the same here. I guess I just have to face the facts that my grandsons mother is just not going to quit the emotional abuse on him.
Have alot of baby chicks will get them all counted today.
I only have 27:( I got 2 wrong:(
Good morning all, snow here this morning! Sounds like you are all being very productive, I'm just trying to catch up with everything that needs to be done! Have a great Monday.
Brenda
Good morning glories !!!
Cindy... that's so true... thanks...
LK... those are lovely light bulb arts... now, I just need to find some burned out light bulbs... Don insisted on going with those tube kind that twist around... someday, I'll find a way to re purpose those too. I'm bookmarking those sites you posted though.
Donna, we want to see the walls when you finish Tony's room...
I stayed up last night to watch a movie, then I slept till 10 this morning... sheesh, half the day is wasted... but, hey... I don't do that very often, and I just couldn't turn the tv off last night till I knew how the movie ended...
Tia Tina... it's your turn to watch Don today... he arrived in OK City last night, for a game today...
Got lots to do today before Don gets home tomorrow night... I told myself I'd get a bunch done while he was gone, and I haven't done half of it. Oh, well... I never get it all done... no big deal.
more coffee.
Coffee please! Slept really late today--didn't sleep much last night. I was a bad girl and some country fried steak for dinner (something I never, ever do) and I sure paid for it!!!!
Oh thank you Jaye, but I am by no means a quilt expert!!! I am flattered you said that but nada, nope, not. Just love quilting and do know someone who does beautiful monogram that might could help. BJ does beautiful work also so some way Joyce might get the new names added.
Sunny today but with a definite chill in the air!! Suppose to be colder tomorrow and rain!! I sure hope Jaye and Tina stayed warm last night.
Tia, Tina, Whatever, hang in there!!! We are all here remember? I do hope Punk Boy is continuing to live with you--that may sound harsh but you are his best interest at the moment!!! Hug him for this adopted Grandma.
Cindy, what can I say about the above email!! Perfect, wonderful and boy, does it make you think. Like Susan I feel so blessed to have met all my new sistahs on Daves and hope and pray to get to met everyone in person!!! What a blast that will be!!!!
Flamingo Kim, I think my score may indicate Dumb!!!!!! Or not fully awake--yeah that is right not fully awake!!
Tink, how are you doing? How is Janice, still sick? I sure hope not.
Waving to everyone else. Where in the world has Kathy disappeared to?
Southwest Gardening: Save your used light bulbs! (garden craft) check this one out!
That game that Kim gave us the link to.if you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see where you can click on the english version and if you got a 20 it means you have the brain of a 20 year old. There are other games to play to. Cool Kim Thanks for the link..........I've got tons of work to do housework that is yuk.............TTYL
Good morning Sistahs and Nieces.
Brrrrrr.. it's cold this morning, and Brenda, you and Kim can keep the snow.
Thanks Cindy for that tale. So true, if we think it's not our concern when another is down, wrong.. we're all affected!
Susan, we are happy you found us! You have finally listened to Kim!!!
And I love that AV. Never tried growing them.. are they easy to take care of?
I'm like Donna, too afraid to try anything that might only end up in the trash before I could finish!
You've been missing out on good sleep anyway BJ. Need to treat yourself to waking up late more :D Doctor Jaye's advise!!! (Only when Don's not home)
Maid M... what thread?
Morning all…..thanks for leaving some coffee…I need it! It is foggy and cold……even a bit of ice in the bird bath this morning….bbrrrrrr!
LK Beautiful tree! Loved the Light bulb links too!
Cindy, the Mouse Story is wonderful!!! Susan is right, we are definitely Blessed to have the found this group.
Tia Tina, you are in our prayers every da and please keep that boy until mom gets her act together….he is so much better off with you! Sage is a very good example….she is now a completely different child ( for the better) since they got her away from her mother!
Time to head out to Curves with the MIL. Maybe it will warm me up, there was ice in the bird bath when I took Porter out a little bit ago……later all!
In the spirit of Christmas for SI sistahs... I decided for us to have a l'il fun . Some of you will get Santa hats, while the rest, Elves hats.
Today I mailed out 20 and somehow the return sticker label keeps coming off when I got to the post office. If you get something postmarked Myrtle Beach, SC... don't be scared.. it's from me.

Oh Boy!!! My zipcode is there!!!!!
I am there too! Hummm, Jaye should we be concerned now? LOL This is going to be very interesting. The thread for the light bulb is the Southwest Garden and is entitled What do you do with a lightbulb? I think, I have trouble moving addresses still.
Yippie... my zip code is there too !!!
Ummm... someone posted a picture of a little garden stake bug made of a light bulb... don't remember who it was... but I can't find it now...
Could you post that again, and tell me if you made it, and where I can get the instructions for it? I have an idea.
OHHHH, how did I miss that one? Sure hope they repost BJ, sounds interesting. Have you looked at the above sites listed? Here we go collected burned out light bulbs.
Cindy, it was you that posted that light bulb bug pic in the SW gardening forum that Marion was telling us about...
DId you make that bug? can you tell me how you made it?
Knowing my sistahs... some of you will get creative with your hats!!!
Wish I'm a millionaire, you will all get at least some crafting money :D
Yep... here we go again... I'm going to have to clear out a space now to collect burned out light bulbs... sheesh... I'm afraid to throw anything away anymore.
ROFLOL BJ we might as well give up!!! If we stay on Daves it is just going to grow and grow and grow. Oh well there could be worse things for us to be doing!!!!
Trisha's mum made some beauties too. Think I have a craft book somewhere using light bulbs.. not a dim moment here :D
OK>>> following Marion's trail.. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/930254/
Three cheers for Jaye. Yeap that is the one!! Who would have thought about light bulbs--certainly not me!! Sistah, Jaye now just what are we doing with these hats?
Whatever you want to do with yours, Marion!!
Just thought it will be fun once you get yours, to put it on and show us here!
But of course, some crafty ones like (insert name here >>>_____ ) will attempt to embellish theirs!!

I couldn't wait for Cindy to answer, so I had to call her... what a thrill to talk to her on the phone... I'm glowing now...
AND I'm inspired... got to get busy with this new idea... CINDY, THANKS... someday, I want to go through all your wonderful books of all those craft ideas... maybe Don will get sent to California one of these days, and maybe I'll get to go with him... gonna have to keep a close eye on his schedule now.
LOL Oh HAPPY DAY!!! I just talked with BJ on the phone. I don't know why it is when you sistahs call me, but I get the giggles ^_^ BJ has the sweetest voice not at all what I thought it would be.
