I hate peanut butter but LOVE peanut butter cups. Go figure!! Oh Kim, I am so sorry dear that it was difficult stuffing the peanut butter in that little bitty hole. See how talented your are--you managed to do it. ROFLOL As I said before, we all have a special talent some more talented than others.

Kathy, so Joyce's talent is Bloody Marys? Now who would have known?

Tina from MB, check in with us Sistah. We are missing you.

Debra, see it is simple once someone with knowledge tell you how--well looks simple but my fore finger and thumb have a mind of their own at times. Praise the day wired edge ribbon was invented. Must have been a woman at that.

Trisha, do you think we should help your Mom collect more card stock? LOL Wouldn't want her to run out. Oh my, can hardly wait to see the wonderful creations.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Ya know Debra and Cindy... I can deal with him leaving his dirty dishes laying around... I can almost understand him leaving his tools where ever he used them last... I also don't have a problem with him dropping his clothes on the floor. But I just can't get used to him standing outside the closet door, kicking off his shoes... then opening the closet door (where his shoes are suppose to be) to get his robe. Also he empties his change from his pocket every night when he comes home... I have a bowl on the bathroom vanity to put that change in, and he will invariably lay it on the counter next to the bowl. WHAT? does he think I'm going to count it before it goes in the bowl? I give up... guess they're not suppose to make sense most of the time.

WOW... Cuz is really out there lurking... HUH?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Funny BJ. I always told hubby if you don't put it in the jar--it is mine!!! Adds up quickly.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep... and actually I just took $90 worth of change in yesterday to cash it in... SHOPPING MONEY.... hehehe.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

After hubby died and I was getting ready to move, I found old hunting socks in one of his drawers full of change. I spent an entire afternoon rolling coins----$348.00 worth!! Talk about a windfall!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Trisha, how old is your Mom? I'm hoping that I can be active when I'm a Great Nana! What fun that would be!

We had a windchill of 10 this morning. I wish it wasn't starting so early....

Bloody Mary's with Kathy's homegrown tomato juice is to die for! Otherwise...I'll have to have another talent...

Is Deborah still so busy with Aunt Lisa?? I haven't seen Audrey post either. Wonder if her birthday was a good one.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

To save some time, maybe we could relist our likes and dislikes like Laura did, for our 2009 swap buddies?
I know there are some of you that have already put together that perfect gift.

Phyllis, thank you so much for setting up the coffee bar. Woohoo... this room feels like an executive suite!!!

Yep LK, I still have a big smile on my face. That is the ONLY wreath I have in this house. I can turn it anyway I want, and it's just spectacular.
Loving it Marion!

BJ, I am fortunate that it's Kel that's the more domesticated one. He cooks, cleans, picks up after himself and even wash dishes... yep.. pushed that dishwasher button! Guess he lived too long as a bachelor.
Yeah, if Don failed to put aside the change in the designated place.. they're yours!!!! I can't do that with Kel.. he drops them right away in those coin tubes!!!

Woa Punk Boy!! Tina-Tia, I bet he's glued to the tv watching those WWF 'fixed' wrestling matches too! Lillyann Grace is such a pretty name.

Sis, is not nice to rat on your sistah!!!! Lolol!!!! I can do Virgin Mary.. so it takes a special sistah to do Bloody Marys? Go Joyce!! And yes, not many can smile..
Joyce, your dad must certainly be happy that he doesn't have to go through another surgery.

13 faces Trisha??? Wow!! I'm yet to pick up the rest of the Santas.. My machines been busy!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh so it's actually Kathy's homegrown tomato juice then? LOL

I assume Deborah is still with her Aunt Lisa as she hasn't posted lately. Situation isn't very good right now. Needs prayers for sure.

Audrey has posted a few times but hasn't been on today that I have noticed. Could have been and I missed it.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Love peanut butter cups!!!!!

Marion, maybe we should......only 8 reams to go with the forty or so she already has......not sure she has enough to last.....LOL!!!

BJ, it's a Guy Thing!!!:(

I Want Pink Tools.........or the really cool ones I saw that were white with fern fronds on them!!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't roll all that change... I just took it to the grocery store and poured in that sorter that keeps count as it goes down the chute. They charge something like 8 cents per $, but I figure thats worth not having to spend hours counting it myself.

Audrey posted after she got home from her T'giving trip to her kids... said she did enjoy her b'day, and came home to find her pressie from us.

Deborah is busy with her Aunt Lisa... not a good situation for her, but she does check in when she can.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Great idea Jaye, so we are to post our likes and dislikes. BTW, I am very happy you are enjoying the wreath complete with my dead plants and pinecones that the oldest GD assured me I had! Just hadn't looked hard enough she said. Know what , she was right!!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

LOL will keep my eyes open Trisha, would definitely not want her to run out.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

My Mum was 80 in September! She gets around better and has twice the energy I do most of the time!!

My uncle never trusted banks.....(he had to work the farm and never finished the 4th grade), after he passed away my aunt was getting stuff out of one of the freezers, she didn't recognize one package so opened it up....it was $1800 cash!! Frozen assets???..LOL!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

What about doing a separate thread...like the view only Santa Thread......the only thing there is each persons posting of likes/dislikes etc.??? Would sure make it a lot easier when we want to get something special for someone.....would be easy for new Sistahs to add their info too........??

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

Ladies, there are days that I would take that man off your hands; bad habits and all! Then again......I'm sure there are days like that for you, too. Being single I have no one to steal my tools, but no one to do those chores that need two people to do. Even hanging a picture is easy with two. Wish I lived close enough that you could just share them on occasion.
As far as help for my 2009 buddy: I'm not much help. While I collect dragons, I don't collect a particular kind. Some of mine are funny, almost all the non-serpentine kind (long sweeping tails), they come in candle form, pewter, wood, ceramic, big little and in-between. Just what strikes my fancy.
My son turned me on to Country music a couple of years ago and I love it. Mostly the cross-over stuff.
As most of you know, I sew and haven't met a color yet that I don't love! Mostly warm or bright; not a pastel sort of person. No bling, bling for me or lace or little bitty flowers. My mother tried that with no success.
I am always looking for things to put my sewing, crafting, thread, etc. in; I could live in container heaven.
Food is another thing I love! If my buddy is by any chance the gal who makes fudge all she has to do is send the that big pot of hers full of the stuff!
Is that enough to get her started. If not, ask Stacey (Fairy 1004) my DIL. She knows me best.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Frozen assest? That is really carrying it a little to far Trisha----but oh so funny!!!!!

I think the separate thread idea is great, something with the Sistah title so it is easy to find. Saves going through so very many post when you want to find something out about a Sistah.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Janice can I second those thoughts on borrowing a hubby every now and then for help only!!!!!!! I, too, am single and boy do I miss not having my hubby help me with things. Son is just soo picky!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I like the idea of a seperate thread for our likes and dislikes!
I have my 2009 swap almost ready, just needed a few more ideas?
Kim, we are still waiting on the peanut butter cup recipe please?

LK

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Believe me, I count my lucky stars every day... I was single for 15 years before I met Don... I really have no REAL complaints... he's pretty perfect in my book. There's just a few things he does that make me scratch my head. I'm sure I have faults he overlooks too... actually, I'm definitely sure I do.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Ok... I agree.. great idea to do a separate thread on our likes and dislikes.
I'll start one.. brb.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Thanks for missing me! I've been lost again! I bought a new mouse and pad, and it's not freezing up now! Maybe I can figure out how to send pix again!
Kim, put a mirror in the center of your village, and put iceskaters on it! A frozen lake!

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I will try that I will have to work on it I just got eveything out I want to put lite and different thing buy the time I get that done it will be Summer

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kim, I like the idea of a seperate thread for our recipes. So they won't get lost in all our chatting...
LK

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks for the recipe, Kim. I'll definitely be trying those this year.

Trishia, that's funny about your DH taking back the tools he designates as yours and your new pink tools. You go, girl!

Thanks for the seperate thread, Jaye. That will make it soooo much easier to locate the information about each sister. If we keep it to our lists only with no chat it will be helpful for a long time to come. And easy for new sisters to add their lists.

Audrey has been posting on the wreath swap thread and a couple of others. She's been busy fighting her photo program so she can post her swap arrangement.

Thinking of Deborah .......

Took a break from sewing for lunch and to entertain the dogs for a while. We must look so goofy with all three of us sitting on the seat of the 4-wheel Mule, but they love to ride. We rode to the mailbox and back - a round trip of 2 miles. Mr. Woody was on a leash -no more funny business!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Kim, by bird is called a double yellow headed amazon parrot, because his head has lots of yellow on top. Some have very little yellow, therefore they are called yellow headed...
LK

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thank you Jaye for the thread and Trisha for the idea. Wow, we are all good together!!! Amazing!!

Audrey, it can be a real headache when they start freezing up as I am sure you have found out. Hope it works soon.

Flamingo Kim, I like the idea so why don't you start the thread? Oh my but the recipe does sound easy and good. Of course, what isn't good about peanut butter cups? It is just plain peanut butter that is bad!! LOL

Debra, I think they is just great to take your babies for a ride in the Mule. Nothing like spoiling them is there.

Yes, BJ I would say you are indeed a lucky woman to have Don. I think they are all alike in their ways just looks and actions are different. I know mine never in 44 years lifted the lid of the clothes hamper!!! Might as well have been glued shut for all he knew.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

This is not the first time this has happened! A new mouse fixed it before, too! Now to get my photos fixed!

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

LK I was just oking I can hopefull delete that from the thread I will go and do that now
ANd try I see how a new thread can start
Dimmer

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

How you do that

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oops forgot to show you how to post the link here.
At the top of the thread, in the address bar, just copy, and paste the link in your message.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sweet Interruptions For the Holidays oops I didn't do it right either.

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

Go to that thread (don't click on skip to new) and hightlight the web adress at the top, copy it, then paste it on the other thread. It will look funny when you first paste it, but it will look right after you hit send.

Did that make sense?

Ferndale, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL! Jaye, you are always one step ahead of me!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yeap, thanks! Just showing Flamingo Kim that she has company--LOL
